Near the start of the video you mentioned "I think they make cars as well". They are actually a very major engineering firm, they have the second biggest shipyard in South Korea. Just a little interesting fact.
I'm single, live alone. this thing makes breakfast a heck of a lot easier and faster then setting aside a bunch of pans just to cook for one. I can even leave the cleanup for after work if in a rush and don't have dirty pans lying about.
What kind of fried breakfast are you making that you can’t make it all in one frying pan? Ok a saucepan for the beans is an acceptable addition, but I can’t see this thing doing a good job with beans.
@@andysutcliffe3915 for real tho would be easier to just use a non stick pan. Probs easier to clean too. Only extra feature is being able to squash the bacon which is not really necessary lol
@@andysutcliffe3915 I know it's pointless but some people don't like the oils touching different foods, again I know how ridiculous it is but people will pour out the used oil into labeled jars 'chicken, bacon' etc to save only for that meat.
Barry!!!!! Every southern American grannie just took a deep breath and clutched her pearls at the thought that you throw out bacon grease. Shame! Shame and dishonor. Bacon grease is liquid gold to cooking. Good for frying eggs, making gravy, frying potatoes, making US style biscuits, etc.,
Big companies tend to branch out into similar fields as they can use existing components for other revenue streams. I have a Hyundai... lawn mower. LOL
My first car was a Daewoo (Daewoo Matiz) which was awesome, £20 filled the tank fully in 2007! Didn’t know they made kitchen appliances. Would love to see more of their kitchen equipment!
Daewoo cars are still around, albeit bearing the Chevrolet badge, so models like the Matiz and the Lacetti are basically Daewoo cars. But it's true that companies, especially in Korea, they tend to branch in many industries. Samsung for example, they don't just make the phones and the TV's, they, among others, make ships (!)
i've seen plenty of daewoo CRT tvs in vacation bungalows still going strong here in the netherlands :D hardly anyone has them at home, but vacation parks are filled with them and have been for 2 decades at this point too lol, so they must've been very good priced in bulk :D
It's not even that good, you could tell on the bacon one side was underdone. If you couldn't, just look what it did to the toast. It's called the 'bacon master' and it can't even cook it properly.
There's a lot you could potentially cook on this - it is, basically, a small griddle, so I'd imagine you can cook just about anything you'd pan fry on it. The flats are a bit small so it would be difficult to cook something like a noodle dish on it, but that might be an interesting use.
Just a quick thought, could you do a smash burger between the two plates? Take out the bacon plate, put a ball of minced beef on one side and quickly shut it over and squash it between the plates. I think it'd work well if you're quick enough.
Bacon grease is awesome for cooking in! Save it and put in the fridge and use to cook eggs in or fried potatoes! It does solidify in the fridge and melts down easily to cook in. Really makes the best fried eggs
Because it runs on 240V to heat up electrically, and we run on 120V. It wouldn't be able to heat up properly. It would need to be on a washer/dryer plug in an American home.
Just want to say I love your videos as I only started watching them the other day. I’m only on episode 20 even though I’m 4 years late lol but I love them. Thank you for doing them xx
thisis like anothe bacon grill that i tried, folded down both sides and cooked bacon on the middle part after closing it back up, worked well but was a bugger to clean afterwards. was the same design but the two fold down parts didnt cook on, it was the middle part that cooked the bacon. i like this design alot better and is more versatile being able to cook on the sides when they are down. another great review Barry and wanted that burger at the end lol
Other foods to try in the Bacon Master: Red/Green Peppers, maybe stuffed with sausage or maybe not... super pounded flat/thin cuts of beef/chicken? Maybe thin slices of other fruits, such as peaches?
That flattened toast at the end is inspiring me. I would take that toast and rub a piece of garlic all over the whole thing top to bottom, take a little bit of butter (or rather Country Crock...)and spread that across, and put a slice of mozzarella on top and then throw it in the toaster oven for a couple of minutes. If I wasn't in bed literally about to fall asleep, I would go and make that right now!
Barry: Cuts in the middle of the video to apologize for unintentional lens smudges from flying smutz. Also Barry: deliberately taps bacon on the lens and doesn't notice the grease at all....
I grew up eating flat toast all the time. My mother would flatten bread on a skillet to a nice golden brown. We'd then add butter, roll it up, and eat it.
Other things to cook...anything on the flat parts. The hang part ham would be good, could fry ham then use the flat bit to make it a ham and cheese toasty.. Cheese sticks to fried ham. Could also do fried bologna, hang thin chicken to make a chicken quesadilla.
YUMMMY I so love crispy bacon. I am not a fan when it's chewy.....yuck lol I collect the grease when I make bacon and use it to cook with. I just strain it and keep it on my counter like my gran used to do.
If it's a good burger, have it like you would your steak. I grind my own burgers and cook them to medium. Wasn't a chefs bbq you were at recently was it?
I have had several different types of George Forman grills and have never really been happy with them, so I would not call this a poor man's version of one of those.

yakisoba (single serving)
I'd give it a try Barry! I would love to try it out just to have the experience of "The Bacon Master 🥓"
Interesting. £39.99 on the UK Amazon site, €279,34 on the Dutch Amazon site :') Quite the difference, that!
amazing video! you should've tried closing the sides on the burger
I thought you already posted this in the kitchen gadget marathon? It's quite the cool contraption for sure.
"I'm not gonna hang the egg"
This means you entertained the idea and I love you for it.
You could have gone full 'Salvador Dali' with a dangling egg.🤔

Barry clearly dislikes gunk on the camera lens, also Barry "proceeds to whack camera lens with just cooked bacon". LOL
I think this looks like another collab with Ashens Will it Bacon Master?
Yes!
And then we will have the batle to see who would win betwen barry's bacon master and Ashens egg master
The drip trays are perfect for dipping crusty bread in whilst eating 😋😂🤣

Both gross and delicious at the same time

They still making eletronic stuff and health insurance , already sold to gm ( american car brand)
Same with Mitsubishi.
pretty sure they make fork lifts as well
And today that tank would cost ya a full weeks salary. 👍
Your energy is awesome, no matter how bad a day could be watching your videos never fails to chear me up
The entire format and editing of this video is incredible, kept me involved throughout the entirety, fantastic video Barry & team!
Barry is the only person other than myself that ive heard of preferring not-crispy bacon
I like both. Bacon is good any way any time.
I'm not keen. Over-done food just tastes burnt to me. I like bacon to taste of bacon, not bio-char.
Am I a little disappointed the bacon didn't end up in the toaster? Possibly.
Was it a good decision to keep it away from said toaster? Definitely.

we have had one of these for years! works like magic
I’ll stick to cooking my bacon in the oven. I can cook the whole pack one time and with a little paper lining the tray I don’t even have to clean up.
I like to do it this way too!
I should try that as well, actually. Don't eat bacon all that much though, I don't care about it as much as a lot of people do :)
It's not even that good, you could tell on the bacon one side was underdone. If you couldn't, just look what it did to the toast. It's called the 'bacon master' and it can't even cook it properly.
The crunchy bacon would be great on salad
My favorite fruit on the grill is peaches. Add a little scoop of ice cream. Yum!
Don’t like that the plates aren’t removable for cleaning. Other than that, great product.

Aww man, that egg yolk popped and I started drooling. That burger looks stonkin!
That toast at the end was PERFECT!
Oh wauw, I didn't expect the burger to be cooked through. This is really impressive.
And they make pretty good cars as well
I've got one of these for camping it's absolutely brilliant
Nice one, Barry! In hotel rooms across the country, bacon will be sizzling on the Corby Trouser Press. Check mini bar for tomato ketchup ...obs.
As someone who has never had his brioche buns come out right, I'd love to see that brioche bun video idea.
It seems like you can't buy the Daewoo Bacon Master in the US. I wonder why that is?
Because it runs on 240V to heat up electrically, and we run on 120V. It wouldn't be able to heat up properly. It would need to be on a washer/dryer plug in an American home.
@@endymallorn Oh, darn. I guess that makes sense.
Ever thought of doing this gadget show format but with gadgets for the home or garden, maybe as like a spin off series for Mrs B?
My dad actually owned a Daewoo Lanos for 22 years (bought it brand new in 1999), a somewhat decent car considering it was dirt cheap
Daewoo used to do TV’s and they where the prizes on one of the Nickelodeon kids game shows. I also knew someone with a car from them too.
Holy cow I remember the prizes on double dare haha way back
they make buses aswell
I used to have a daewoo vhs player!
When I went looking for my first car I tried a tiny 0.8L compact car. I looked comically large and it sounded like a lawnmower. It was hilarious.
My top loading washing machine is a daewoo

I think you could make French Toast (eggy bread) in it. It would be nic and toasted on the outside while not holding too much egg in the bread.
If you do a video on burger buns, I HIGHLY recommend Joshua Weissman's burger buns, they are absolutely incredible!!!!
Bacon on a sheet tray under the grill works a treat
Wow, haven't seen Daewoo in such a long time. We had a Daewoo Nexia when I was a wee lad, and it was great.

And for things I never thought I'd say... Good job, Daewoo.
This very much reminds me of a raclette grill.

If I was Mrs. B I'd have said the bacon burger was great.
Then run for it with the burger.
