  • This is a big one! Not only do I give my first impressions of the impressive R9 in this video but I also
    - Compare it to the R5
    - Compare the ES (280mm) and CS (330mm) steering wheels
    - Compare the CS and RS V2 steering wheels
    - Use the R9 with the round CS wheel
    - Use the R9 with the formula GS wheel
    - Compare the CS to the GS

      i need to try out the newer simagic rims before I draw any conclusions. The R9 ffb is not as strong as the alpha mini but it does feel really good. it's a bit too weak to give lots of detail with a 330mm CS or RS rim because they're quite heavy. moza is doing great. pick the one that you like the look of the peripherals and software. you can't go wrong with either really.

    Was interested to hear your opinion as I've had the R9 and both the GS and CS wheels around 4 weeks now. It's my first foray into the full rig setup and DD wheel base and am pretty happy with my choice apart from the fact that the CS wheel has become an ornament on the wall mount due to the exact reasons you've stated in the review. It's a pity as I'd like to use a full wheel for some race types. Guess the option now is to fit a Turn rim, or something similar, as this will reduce the overall weight. Delighted with everything else though.

    i'd kill for an r5 or r9, but i cant afford them, and i kinda need a cockpit, as my chair moves around too much, so i'll probably get a playseat challenge, and an r5 next year

      Excellent combo! Set a goal date and start working towards it TODAY.

      @@LaurenceDusoswa yeah, I've been saving already. my dad owes me $490 (aud) but considering how much I haven't been doing my chores as of recent, I'll happily settle on $370 or so, should be able to get the playseat for christmas, and my birthday is also soon, so things may actually come together sooner than I think. I also have my g923 to sell (assuming an r5 is within reach), so that's another +. I'll keep you posted, assuming you have time to pay any attention.

      Go catch up on chores! You don’t get anything for nothing in life. Not only will you get the money that’s ‘owed’ to you but you’ll make your dad happy and show him that you’re trying to achieve a goal. Honestly. Spend 10 mins a day looking for something to do for your dad that he didn’t ask you to do. It will be very rewarding for both of you.

      @@LaurenceDusoswa I'll get around to them. for tomorrow, I have a day off school so I'll be preparing for my science and english assessments and some other homework. I do appreciate the advice tho, it's good to know that you do really care for your audience.

    In what scenario would you recommend someone buying the RS V2 over the CS V2? The RS is nearly twice the price and I wonder if it's justifiable, or if those savings can be used to purchase a GS wheel instead?

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  Год назад

      The RS has clutch paddles which is great. And more buttons. But I would just by the CS and a GS if I were you

    Seems they overdid the cs wheel and it's a bit too heavy for this base. With the gs wheel on, it clearly shows it has much more potential, really odd to see.

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  Год назад

      Yep I’d love if they shaved 30% of the weight off the CS wheel. The r9 needs a bit less weight

    R9 Vs r16 ?

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  Год назад

      16 has way more power and is more able for the 330mm steering wheels. I just don't like the form factor of the R16, personally. Buy the one you can afford :D
