- For every great NBA Champion, they've had a great sidekick and they couldn't of done it without them. So they are just as important. Which is why we're looking at 10 of them today.

To the people that commented, Dirk did do it without a true superstar sidekick if we aren't including Jason Terry, and Kobe isn't included because he was much closer to an equal to Shaq than a sidekick. 😎
It is very clear that during their time together, at the very least the first couple of years, that Kobe was inferior to Shaq. In the finals, Shaq had 38, 33, and 36 points in ‘00, ‘01, and ‘02 respectively, while Kobe had 15, 25, and 27.
Yet you have Stockton and Wade, who were much closer in terms of talent to Malone and LBJ than Kobe was to Shaq

That's not accurate at all he had Jason Kidd who was one year off from an All-Star appearance and he was a Hall of Famer so I'd say that's a pretty good sidekick and if you had no sidekick then why is it that Dirk 2011 Mavericks All told have a total of 28 All-Star appearances where has Michael Jordan's 91 Bulls only had 24 and the 2015 Warriors only have 14 sounds like Dirk had more help than those other guys here's a hint man don't just listen to the media do a little research

AAL, are we gonna ignore the fact that every NBA player in history needs help. Kyrie wasn't any winner without Lebron, Kobe wasn't a winner without Shaq, David Robinson wasn't a winner without Duncan, I mean, everyone needs help. Also, Lebron was by far the best player for the Miami Heat in both the seasons they won the finals. D Wade was averaging 20-5-5 and Bron was averaging 27-7-8, plus Lebron was on the defensive first team in both of those seasons while D Wade didn't even make it to the second team. Im not sure how Lebron was worse than D wade for those two seasons. Plus, Lebron was more efficient and was a better shooters, and he shot better from the line. I get that Stats aren't everything, but Bron wins in everything including playoff stats, advanced stats, and definitely the eye test.

Better at getting injured. Fact is when Kyrie Irving had his own team before LeBron James showed up they were garbage. Kyrie Irving is also a turn style on defense. Klay Thompson is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA and a very underrated defender they can guard 1 through 4.
