For about 2 years while Deron was with Utah and CP3 was with New Orleans, it was definitely an argument. Me and my best friend argued about it a lot, actually
@@adauda5263 Sad but true. For such a small player, his quickness and athleticism were key to his success. After his hip injury (and all the other ones that followed) Isaiah Thomas really slowed down. Thomas was a decent passer, but his scoring ability was what made him great. It sucks to see him struggle to even do that now after all the injuries.
Dwight had major back surgury to repair a herniated disc and remove fragments of bone. He also came back earlier than expected and played through a torn labrum. In subsequent seasons he's dealt with more injuries the speed up his athletic decline. So it wasnt a trade that caused him to decline, it was age and attrition.
Rondo was good in the Bulls. In fact, his absence in the games 3 onwards in the first round of the playoffs against Boston was immensely felt. They were up 2-0 against number in the East, Celtics. When he injured his thumb, the team had no sense of direction and eventually lost to them. I'm not a fan of Howard and I don't know what really happened, but it seems to be only a coincidence that his skills dipped when he got traded. Probably it's more because of the injury, which the RUclipsr acknowledged (but not enough to remove him on the list).
Grandmama didn't decline due to being traded to the knicks, his physicality and explosiveness dwindled because he had severe chronic lower back issues. That's why he had to adapt and develop into a reliable 3-pt shooter to contribute.
@Blind Brazilian Tex Atlantis The man came off surgery playing for the Lakers, still did great. He went to Houston and was amazing still. After Houston is when he stopped being amazing but still averaged good numbers. Learn your facts hater

Rondo has been balling man. He was the assits leader on his King's season and people saw how valuable he is on the Bulls playoff run. And He is been great for the pelicans .
Monte still avg 20 ppg with the bucks and made the playoffs and avg 16 ppg with the mavs and got to the playoff he didn't get bad until he went to indiana
Fun fact about back surgeries in general, they don't really "fix" and issue, they just help prevent further deterioration. If you have back surgery, you will more than likely deal with back pain the rest of your life. That's why you hear of so many athletes avoid back surgery like the plague.
You missed a huge part of Larry Johnson's decline. Larry Johnson's numbers started declining after his back surgery. Larry johnson never had the same lift after the surgery which a big part of his game was predicated on his athleticism being an undersized 4 man like Barkley. Gotta tell the whole store and not just half truths to fit a narrative sir
You should post a video on how "injuries" ruin top players career. Dwight Howard, Amare Stoudemire, Isaiah Thomas, Derek Rose (although he is doing very well this season as the 6th man)... these players were once dominating but instantly went to a career hell after big injuries. I am glad that Kawhi has recovered very well after sitting out almost the whole season last year.
Crazy to think that there’s already a generation of kids who didn’t see or were too young to remember Dwight Howard in his prime. Although limited offensively, he was a BEAST! Now many just know him as the journeyman center bouncing from team to team. Sad. He truly was never the same after the back surgery
Ink Master I think he was just getting back at Houston for letting him go the first time. Showed what he could do in NY, got Houston interested again, then pulled the rug out from under them. Maybe he was hired by Charles.
Kemp’s issue was around pay, in Seattle he signed up to a 10 year rookie contract which meant shittier players were being paid more than him. After 8 years & being traded to Cleveland meant he got the money he deserved & that came with indulgence. If he had people around him to help him control his spending & drug & alcohol abuse he’d be a hall of fame type player. Such a sad story!
the surgery and Tibbs ran him into the ground. Noah aint what he used to be. Rose injuries piled up. Gibson was always hurt there. Tibbs is a horrible coach cuz he plays his players too many minutes and practices to the extreme. Min need to let him go.
Rondo with the Mavs was rough but after that he led the league in assists with Sacramento, led chicago to a 2-0 lead against the 1 seed Celtics before he got hurt and currently has the pelicans up 2-0 in their series. I don’t know if he should be on the list
Blake Griffin should also be here and yeah injuries also contributed but I feel like trading him away had a major role in his decline . However lately he has been doing pretty well which makes me pretty happy cus nothing was more exciting than watching a clippers game during the lob city era
I knew once Dwight Howard had back surgery for a herniated disc that he would never be back playing at an elite level. I used to work at a doctor's office doing worker's comp claims and most of the patients had a herniated disc and ended up never being able to work again because of the pain. Howard was able to be dominate because his whole game is based on his athleticism but I knew his career was over after that injury.
Dwight's trade revealed who he really was, which was hidden to a degree in Orlando. When put in the spotlight in LA where he expected to help get the Lakers back to the finals, he couldn't handle the pressure. His preference for fun over effort was exposed. He never really worked on his game, yet expected teams to defer to his wishes for a bigger part of the offense.
Larry Johnson's stats dropped cause of his back injury. Had absolutely nothing to do with being traded. But when he had to step it up in the playoffs for the Knicks, he lead them to the NBA finals. So you can go ahead and take him off this list.

Honestly, I think Dwight Howard and Roy Hibbert have faded into obscurity as a result of the NBA and how the game is played now. When they entered the league, there was still a post presence and players were driving to the basket. Nowadays, everybody is just trying to shoot threes and that includes Centers and Power Forwards. So the big men who can rebound and defend inside have been taken out of the game because the shots are coming from further away now. Big men like that are unfortunately dinosaurs in this league now and I hate it. Rebounding was an art and it was a special thing to see guys like Shaq and Dennis Rodman do it over the years... Hidayet Türkoğlu - 2 Seasons with Orlando (20 / 5 / 5 & 17 / 5 / 5) being the leader of the offence than signed with Toronto (11 / 5 / 4). He returned to Orlando after one season but never the same.
Kemp starting to have bad behavior in Sonics. His trade was actually good for him as he got better stats. It's his own behavior that got him, not the trade... it's just circumstantial. If he stayed in the Sonics, he would get worse eventually.
Not sure how you missed Penny Hardaway. Larry Johnson’s stats went down when he went to New York because he was shifted to Small Forward because of Charles Oakley. Anyone that saw Larry Johnson play could see he was a tailor made Power Forward. Plus, that team was stacked with Oakley, Ewing, Houston, and Starks. He just didn’t have the opportunities he had in Charlotte. Then when the Knicks moved him back to PF in 1998 he had that bad injury (his back if I remember correctly) and was never the same player afterwards. If you are going to include Johnson then you might as well include Ron Harper. His stats nosedived when he went from the Clippers to Michael Jordan’s Bulls. Even though without him at PG it’s doubtful the Bulls would have won additional championships. Those that weren’t around for the Bulls dominance with Jordan didn’t get to see them before Krause put that super team around him. Yeah they were good but never great.
Not sure how you and Austin missed the fact: LJ broke his back in 1993 and that's why his stats went down. He had additional surgery in summer of 96 that fused some vertebra limiting his movement when he joined the Knicks. (In fact that's why he moved a swing 3 because he didn't want his body getting beaten on so much) And Penny Hardaway? His stats were exactly the same after the trade to Phoenix. Not sure what you're thinking...maybe Tim Hardaway. Good catch on Harper though, everyone seems ignorant to the fact he was a 18-20 point guy his whole career until Chicago. Guess that's a luxory when you're the only decent player on the Clippers in the 90's.
Roy Hibbert started playing badly because of the new NBA rule on verticality. It states that if you turn in mid air while blocking a shot, it would be considered as a foul. That is what surely ruined his career then he stopped caring.
Kemp would have come back from the lockout out of shape even if he was still a Sonic. Also, Rajon Rondo didn't suffer from simply being traded. He just suffered from an "attitude problem" that no other team but Boston knew was just a combination of a ridiculously high basketball IQ and an "I know better" level of coachability. So neither Dallas nor Sacto tolerated him long enough to realize what his style could bring to the table in May.... boom, journeyman. If you recall, Playoff Rondo did some crazy things for Chicago and New Orleans.
Some are system players. They were good because of the coaching from their previous teams. Then you have players which were pushed out of the league because of change in playstyles and their inability to adapt.
well I mean...Deng had that failed surgery and Rondo, that torn ACL some alcohol problems, and Dwight had back issues. That's more reason than the actual trade
I think you forgot one of the biggest ones ever! DERON WILLIAMS for the Utah Jazz. He complained his way out of Utah. Even tho while he was here he was in the conversation for the best point guard in the league. And had a very valid argument to be the best in the league. But as soon as he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks he was instantly not the same player and never regained his status as a top PG let alone a top 20 player. Which is really sad cause if D.Will would have been happy not being able to wear a head band and I live in Salt Lake City and we don't have a great night scene but he should have been happier winning and being a top player than living in Dallas and having great strip clubs but losing his spot as a great young player. And he had a huge fan base here in SLC, UT. You should do a video on him.
Rondo is great with teammates. The players have often said he's the best teammate they've ever had. Coaches don't like him because he's too smart and does whatever he think is right.
Luol Deng went through that spinal tap gone bad issue. Where he was hospitalized, I feel like that was the turning point for him rather than the trade
PSIsmashbrother626 dude almost died
They traded him because of that issue. The blame should go to the Chicago Bulls medical staff they almost fucked this man life.
Rondo messed up his acl
PSIsmashbrother626 yeah didn’t he get wrongfully diagnosed with something and then they gave him something that fucked him up
Tanner Bragnarg Is My Nan yeah, the spinal tap which actually released spinal fluid. He later they found out he only had a flu
Rondo is balling out with the pelicans
Prasant Rajan he did rondo dirty
*Lakers
He is ballin tho
25 assist
Deron Williams? People used to debate who was better, he or Chris Paul.
deron williams didn't really enjoy his time playing for the nets
Almost included him but he was still an All-Star on the Nets and then he slowly declined while he was there
For about 2 years while Deron was with Utah and CP3 was with New Orleans, it was definitely an argument. Me and my best friend argued about it a lot, actually
Daniel Briggs It was really injuries ruined his career and have you heard about how he gained 200 pounds in the Team USA training before.
Daniel Briggs yup I was one of them
Where is Isaiah Thomas? Ever aince he went to the cavs his career hasn’t been going so good
Tyrese Smith too soon to tell he could still change things only time will tell
Tyrese Smith He should blame Kyrie lol
plus he got the hip injury
jus got cut from the clippers after being traded from the wizards, unfortantly u right and his carrer is probably done
@@adauda5263 Sad but true. For such a small player, his quickness and athleticism were key to his success. Where's Joakim Noah
Moff Tarkin His game was declining while he was still on the Bulls.
He never was traded bro...he left in free agency
Right after I uploaded I remembered him lol
Moff Tarkin joakim noah was trash anyway
Well Joakim Noah started feeling the Tom Tibbeau effect by playing to many mins and then got injured and was never the same.
Rondo is getting back to near all star form, he’s great in the playoffs and this year he’s been playing well
Rondo has a impact on the pelicans
GivenchyJay a massive one
Fax boi playoff rondo was the reason the bulls had a 2-0 lead against the Celtics last year. The second he got injured they started choking and lost.
I agree
BTW, Luol Deng had I life threatening injury that almost cost him his life which is why they traded him. Do your research.
I real big impact
Some of them just got older.
Exactly like LJ
Dwight had major back surgury to repair a herniated disc and remove fragments of bone. He also came back earlier than expected and played through a torn labrum. In subsequent seasons he's dealt with more injuries the speed up his athletic decline. So it wasnt a trade that caused him to decline, it was age and attrition.
And his number really are helpfull to a team still and not bad
Add Demarcus Cousins to the list after this season is over

Rajon Rondo is doing good now, He's gonna sweep my Blazers 😭😭😭
Alex Thao LMAO
Then get swept by the Warriors... LOL
wow you're a prophet!
Oof
Alex Thao your about to make the conference finals so good job

I feel like some of these players were maybe more effected by injuries like Larry Johnson or other issues
Larry Johnson's deep decline happened after his back surgery.
Steven Gallanter we can put Dwight in that category as well fellas, ironically his top 2
Rondo led the league in assists in Sacramento, gave the Bulls a 2-0 lead over the 1 seed Celtics, and SWEPT the series favorite Blazers
Hornets Dwight is playing like a older Orlando Dwight
Rhys _12762 without defense
Rhys _12762 He got traded again
Matt TheDestroyer 2 he asked a buyout to the Wizards now.
Kendrez Flournoy wizards will be pretty good next year, still not winning east though

Chris Paul? Vince Carter? Monta Ellis?
Lance bounced back at indiana

Larry Johnson's stats dropped cause of his back injury. Had absolutely nothing to do with being traded. But when he had to step it up in the playoffs for the Knicks, he lead them to the NBA finals. So you can go ahead and take him off this list.
Go to watch the revival of Dwight Howard
With Larry Johnson he had a back injury and that made him less athletic so it was a time bomb

Rajon Rondo found home with the Pels. Been beastmode for the post seasons. Theyre on the verge of sweeping the Blazers. So definitely not ruined.
I love how you and Korzemba have your theme songs.

Roy Hibbert started playing badly because of the new NBA rule on verticality. It states that if you turn in mid air while blocking a shot, it would be considered as a foul. That is what surely ruined his career then he stopped caring.
Deng and Rondo in same vid hahahahhahhaaahhaha
Larry Johnson was awesome in New York!
Larry Johnson was great on the Knicks and had one of the best plays in history of the Knicks and took them to the finals from that play
well I mean...Deng had that failed surgery and Rondo, that torn ACL some alcohol problems, and Dwight had back issues.
