Jerry was Highly recruited coming out of Highschool. He chose Mississippi Valley because they threw the ball 80 percent of the time. In the Southwest Conference teams ran the ball about 80 percent him being a receiver he needed to get the ball more.

Jerry rice was a 1st round pick out of Mississippi valley state and I believe had close to 1000 yards his rookie year, I’d say that’s a pretty good athlete.

Round 7 pick 225 is just unbelievable. There’s always a late round gem and it’s always hard to predict them but it feels like Brenden Rice historically is the one that consensus feel most confident in to become a great NFL player that should’ve been selected much sooner!
Actually he's 50% on contested catches if you take a second to look at his career numbers and not just 2023 numbers.
Something I've been wondering when it comes to ranking receivers is how to rank say a purely outside receiver to a pure slot... like say, comparing someone like Malik Washington to Brendan Rice. They both have the same positional designation, but vastly different roles and strengths.

His speed shouldn’t be a problem. Mike Evan’s,D’Hopkins,Keenan Allen(4.7),Cee Dee Lamb,etc all ran 4.5+ 40yard dash times so I think he’s in good hands
If we draft Brenden Rice I think he will be a star like his daddy. We'd be getting a steal! Only 27% of WR in the draft actually become good/great. I'm betting on Rice developing

I keep hearing that but I find it hard to imagine a human being able to throw a oblong ball at some kind of arc into a 8 inch wide hole from anything more than 10 yards away. The recover actually makes the qb look good . I bet most abs couldn’t actually hit a target down field if I didn’t adjust to where the ball was actually going .

Brenden Rice...currently being mocked at the top of the 4th round. Seems like a quality player to me, not many flaws...may end up being a good #2 one day if he continue to progress.
