I never noticed any buzzing (humming) prior to this video. BUT - after you shut off a/c, fan, etc., the clarity of audio was greatly improved. Also -- your camera is amazing!
I'm slowly gaining on number of listings... I'm steady between 75 and 90 listings right now and only a few months in. starting from practically nothing! Loving the extra cash flow. Find all kinds of neat stuff in my area and it pays most of my bills
I’m going to start selling some glassware online (IPA, stout, beer glassware) and probably in single sell format. What’s the best way to secure them in your opinion ? Opinions on sizes for cardboard ? 🙏 thank you!!
Jaime Pamplona - A great idea. High maintenance, high reward. Brown butchers paper. Wrap your wares well. Biggest box you can get away with (Weight). Stuff with as much padding as possible! More brown paper, clean newspapers, we personally use *egg cartons* for extra strength along the sides. Good Luck!!
Eco pro is definitely my best purchase this year. You will love it. No more wasting time checking for scratched discs when you're out on the hunt! Great channel, you are famous in our house! Greetings from England!

@Shed Flips, I admire your calmness, if I had that many people nosing around behind me while I am trying to show a video about reselling on ebay I would be so upset. I mean someone noticed an outlet cover? Wow. :D Thanks for all the info in your videos.
I have a 5x10 storage unit I rent, and I’m almost up to 1,000 items listed. I do my shipping and listing in my apartment. The 5x10 is rather crowded, but it’s only storage, so I don’t have to walk around in it. It’s sufficient. I recently expanded my space in the unit by taking advantage of the rafter space. I bought a hockey net and suspended it from half the ceiling. I call it my sporting goods mezzanine because I can tip basketballs, footballs, and gloves and helmets over the edge and they are just fine up there. When they sell, I just push them to the edge and over and catch them. It’s also a good space for blankets or bigger pieces of soft clothing like bathrobes (in poly bags) or puffy jackets. Just an idea of you need it.
@@shedflips It is Ender 3 pro. I use it to make things for friends and families; I printed a mask for my neighbours and for RVA flips a while back when all the crazy started. My shed in 112 sq feet (8x14) I have almost 1,000 on ebay as well as some on Etsy. I do have a loft, and usually concentrate on smaller items. I would love more space, but it is doable. Organization and a good storage system are key!
Thanks for addressing my bulk edit handling time question! It was business policies that was the problem. I'm not sure how/if I ever turned on business policies, but I was able to go back in and 'opt out'. Now I'm able to bulk edit handling time again. I'm sure others have had this same issue as well.
I am very curious how you made out on your bulk buys, like the hot wheels and pops. Would you ever do a video or segment when you recap how much you made on those deals? Also, as someone who used to sell acoustic guitars at a music store, I wouldn’t recommend storing it in the shed (unless you keep the ac on 24/7), especially in the rafters, where the heat would collect. The change in humidity and temperature can cause cracking. Just trying to help! Thanks for all the content, we love it!
The Canon camera you sold brought back memories of my first camera. I still have the cover but the camera was broken many decades ago. Great video thanks for sharing
Have you considered getting a nerdy apprentice? That way you’d have someone who will do things like identify action figures, attack the rack, and pack the shipments in exchange for learning important reselling skills like fan placement, keeping secrets from your spouse, and how to lowball a kid.
Started with $25, ive now made $4,300 on my first month! I go to goodwill, garage sales, and local deals all the time. You can find some really good stuff! Keep up the good work Lonnie.
Sellers should mention if they discs have been resurfaced or repaired. Many collectors dont want these as they often encounter read and wear problems and not original. Yes, turn the fans and AC off when recording. Cleaner audio.
Hi Lonnie, I noticed you have electric socket with shelf by your computer. Do you mind me asking where did you bought them at? Thank you for the great videos.
I have roughly 530 listings right now, but I also do amazon. Ebay right now is the majority of my sales. You can live off 500 listings but I have a really high sell through rate, so you do have to keep good items that sell fast to make it. If i had a mortgage, and a car payment, there is absolutely no way I could make it. The great thing about reselling is you can find stuff that you would have to normally buy at retail prices for pennies on the dollar, you can live pretty frugal as a reseller.
Verified - when you have business policies you cannot bulk edit Handling Time (field does not show up). Handling time is inside the business policies but you can edit the handling time within the policy and apply to all listings with that business policy. Not bad if you only have a few shipping policies setup but could be a pain if you had a lot. Note: I did not "choose" to have business policies - it seems it may have been a default when I changed my account to a store. Thanks for the advice!
Lonnie, Since you make alot of sales how do you handle buyer feedback? Do you schedule a day of the week to send everyone individual feedback, or send everyone the same feedback?
I use business policies for all my shipping which has been really convenient for me because I made one for 2 to 4 oz. 8 ounces 10 ounces, etc for where ever the shipping amounts change so when I weigh it, and just reach up and grab the business policy from the drop-down and I know that I’m going to have enough money on shipping to cover my shipping and the shipping FV fees if it’s a flat rate or I’ll do calculated depending on the size of the item if it’s over 1 pound. But one drawback I found out with business shipping policies is you cannot use sellhound if you use business policies. They actually refunded all my money because of this.
100% agree with your thoughts on adding space and getting a warehouse, i have thought endlessly about how i would do it if/when i went full time and for me low overhead and working at home is where its at, the whole idea of a warehouse, employees, kinda goes against why i even do ebay, i just like want to make a decent living with least amount headaches possible. You will love the Eco Pro 2! Have had it for almost 2 years and it works great. I sell a lot of video games and dvds and many times you can get them to like new condition and are able to sell for more money. Also great for cds as well! I will be interested to see how you like it.
Great video Lonnie! Why don't you do a video where you show your viewers the jackets and shirts you have in your deathpile, and give us the opportunity to buy them, it looks like you have several interesting items. Go through Instagram and avoid the ebay fees. That way we get to participate in you eliminating the pile so you can reuse the space like you have been talking about on your podcast.
The white "Elixir" boxes looks like around a 200 count baseball card box. They come in various lengths and sizes from about 100 to 1000 "card count" or so.
With you being full time, do you put any of your money into the family budget? If so, how do you figure out what you keep for the business and what you contribute? My wife just quit her job to home school our son with COVID happening. So I’m pushing my sales. I’m just unsure how to differentiate what should be my “paycheck” and what goes back into the business.
I average around 5100 items in my store. It grows fast! I have been full time since 2012 part time from 1997-2012. I reduce prices every 30 days and once an item gets around $ 5-8 I let it ride for 30 days then get rid of it
Honestly the weight is the issue more than the dimensions. You could round up or down and it’d be the same cost to ship. That’s been my experience for USPS anyway. I believe UPS does take dimensions more into account.
Hey Lonnie, you can run the eco pro for 4 minutes no problem. The jfj was limited to 2 minutes because it would heat up the discs and damage them. The eco pro doesn't heat up discs like the jfj so you don't have to worry about damage to the disc from heat as long as you keep the water tank filled. One tip though is to wipe off the spindle where the disc sits with alcohol every 100 minutes or so because it can get dusty from the solution when it dries and can make the disc slip if the spindle gets too dusty. I ruined a $100 game because of that once. I have not made that mistake again. lol. good luck. It's a very good machine. I've processed about 200 discs so far today. My machine has over 90k hours on it and it's still going strong.
@@shedflips Nope. Not a typo. it's over 96k hours now actually. I bought it from a game store that was going out of business. I sent it in to Elm to have it refurbished and it has been rock solid. I will probably buy another one soon to double my output. You can check your hours by holding down Func and the flipping the power switch on.
The hum disappeared as soon as A\C was turned off. I wear headphones, so it is noticeable. In a good video editing program, you could quickly remove the lowest decibels to remove the humming sound.
Hey Lonnie, Your Favorite Uncle here...I like how you are time stamping your videos. However the only time I would use it is if I went back to find something in your videos. I like watching them from start to finish...You know...the old foggy way. I'm not in a hurry, I got all the time in the world....lol (I see everyone has already told you who Rorschach is. His mask keeps changing to form pictures that you might see in a "Rorschach" test.)
On the bulk editing of handling times I believe if you turn on vacation mode first it will not let you bulk edit , so bulk edit first then turn on vacation mode
The hum is for sure the A/C. I don't hear it on my $300 headphones unless I blast the volume... So unless your other viewers are deaf old people blasting their crappy TVs they watch youtube on, it;s perfectly fine background noise.
How’s managed payments going for you? Could you do a review? Did you hear about the number of items that can be listed starting on August 1st for store subscribers and for those with managed payments? What are your thoughts?
I see later in this video that you have a 2:00 AM cutoff for same-day. The earliest setting that I see is 5:00 AM. Is yours "grandfathered-in"? Or am I viewing the wrong setting page?
20:58 I heard that. When I get past 300 items listed I start to get bogged down. I know I need to get over that, but I dont ever want more than 500 listed. Idea is to get higher priced items and less of them. Idk buy anything I cant list for $30 anymore; and honestly, I'd like to get that number to $50+. More money. Less items. Less work. How long have you been selling on eBay? I think you may be an overachiever.
Knows, when I use my digital camera for photos, and plan to use my laptop to list,, I download all the images into a file on the laptop. Then I use that file from which to move photos into listings. And those photos can be batch loaded in a similar way from that laptop file to the laptop listings.
Question...when we as resellers clean/repair/resurface a game/movie/CD should we state this in the listing...if not what could be the draw back from not doing so???
I have a question. I have about 30 grand saved up and i wanna buy pallets of shelf pulls with tags on everything so its all new conditions. But im wondering, am i able to sell any brands on ebay or will nikee or what ever brand come after me for selling their brand?
That's a good question! PayPal has limited my account because I initiated a dispute (non-eBay issue) with the credit card I've been using for PayPal...and today I had to refund $1.76 to someone who requested combined shipping...and there was no way to do it. So I just put a check into the package to take care of it. I don't know why I didn't think to put cash in there. Good tip! Once PayPal gets it together to release my funds, I'm going to withdraw all of MY money and avoid PayPal whenever it makes sense and as much as possible. When they set up a roadblock between me an a nonperforming online seller, it's a bridge too far. I've been with them since they invented PayPal, and there's no reason that they couldn't have released $1.76.
Hey Lonnie, you know the items you would like to sell that’s on the hanging rail. Why don’t you do a video like show & tell and ask viewers to send you a message if they would like to buy and it would save you listing them and help you with your plans for more shelving. Thanks for the great content!
Hey Lonnie...those look like 300ct trading card boxes.....of course they could be used for anything....just ssying... got JFJ easy pro cause you liked it at one time...cant do the new one you....$ to much...thanks for all you do...
Question for Lonnie: What type of items do you have on that clothes rack? If someone was interested, would you consider doing a bulk sale to get the rack out of your way for more room in the shed?
Lonnie, I’m new to reselling, about 4 months in, but I’m having a fun time doing it as a job. I’m 17. Do you think I should consider doing liquidation? I know you have a guy, I wish I did but I’m looking for other options than garage sales. Also what should I do once garage sales end?
FYI from 16:24 - 16:32 mark you can hear a hum even with everything turned off. I wonder if its a reverb thing the way you are holding the go pro? Actually heard it again when the camera is close to the computer monitor. Prob a frequency issue
For me i just enter everything I buy in excel and have the recipts in a 13 file folder under the month when I bought them. Then when sold I use another Excel sheeting showing date, brieef describtion, what it sold for , the shipping cost the buyer paidand my shipping costs. Then I just ad both sheets up and the last excel shows my monthy fees fleabay charged. Also for my store bough receipts I mark on the top of th receipt the date of purchase and total prices as so many receipts fade over time much less thermopaper most stores use.
ELM machines are awful. So expensive for supplies. A bench grinder with jewelers pads and blue and white buffing compound are so much better. No water, no pads, no machine to break down with an expensive repair. Supplies cost 30 dollars and last a year, even buffing thousands of discs. Regardless I love your videos and wish you the best!

Action figure with the gun is Rorshach from watchmen. They are a subset underneath DC Comics.
Hey Lonnie you probably know this because you’re a pro, I use google lens to identify items. I take a pic and it works great for me.
Lonnie onest u turn off everything there no more humming but I did not really her it till u say something about it. Keep up the excellent work
Question for Lonnie: What type of items do you have on that clothes rack? If someone was interested, would you consider doing a bulk sale to get the rack out of your way for more room in the shed?
I can't hear the hum. Probably to much loud music as a kid. Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Love the videos!
Working in the other room and listening, every time i hear that cash register ring i think it is mine... But it is always yours ...
how did you like the cup
What size is your shed?
Is under your shed insulated? If so how?
FYI from 16:24 - 16:32 mark you can hear a hum even with everything turned off. I wonder if its a reverb thing the way you are holding the go pro? Actually heard it again when the camera is close to the computer monitor. Prob a frequency issue
I heard again as well. It almost sounded like an aircraft passing.
Yep same here, my gf and I always wondered and we had to turn off our base because the sound
When I heard the ca-ching from the intro : I instinctively looked at my phone ;)
Figure is Rorschac from the watchmen comic book series
We all know there is only one "top shelf" location. Pippin shelf!!!
I stayed up late for this video lol
How do you keep track of your inventory? Having an issue keeping track of cost of goods when stuff sells.
Regardless I love your videos and wish you the best!
so when you move things around you have to go and change it in the listing too ? so you know where it is
Never had a hum
i never have a problem with your audio.
