Hi Logon I ordered the fox UTB Capra from USA eBay. As not on sale on England UNTIL may. The Axel version is on sale in England so I got that also. Just waiting on upgrades buddy. I really like the vehicle 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩🤙🏼🤟🏼
Got the "baby cap", love it!! So much that my full size Capra will be up for sale... downsizing, and it has to go. Mod list: 1.9 generic method wheels w/JConcepts Tusk 1.9 Scale Country tires and slightly cut foams, Treal brass front portal covers, brass +2 hexes, Furitek Lizard 10 ESC running Holmes V2 380 revolver motor, Axial overdrive gears and rear link riser so far.... TBC. Been waiting to see what you've been doing with yours! Awesome.
All my Buds run Capras,I bought the UTB 18 to keep it on the cheap..try to do more with less.Treal brass, stock capra beadlockes with lead rope, class 1 Trenchers, stretched a bit custome links,HW180 HH 380 crawler motor,Dlux front axles, custom made rear Disco for front dig using micro servo.just over 3 1/4 lbs.Yes it hangs with the big Capras...its pretty obnoxious! haha my buddies call it the "Midget" lol love my Midget Capra minimal $$$ max FUN! Axial Nailed it!
I finally got a bunch of stuff done to my 1/18 Capra... it's 4 wheel steer now, has Treal knuckles F/R, portal weights up front, portal gears, and I did the Furitek motor/esc for it... which to be honest, I don't think is that great. I felt it crawled great with the stock motor and esc, but I had to do something due to the rear steer. I think you did it right with the 1080 ESC. I might end up doing that setup and save the Furitek in case I decide to get an AX24. Or sell it. I dunno.
About how much money do you have in the upgrades , I'm just curious , I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these & just kinda on the fence about it
Loving mine! I'm still waiting on all my Axial upgraded parts (I ordered pretty much all of them) but I have gone 4WS with another front axle for the rear, Reefs 422HD servos front and rear, RC4WD 1.55" wheels and RC4WD Mud Slingers, Holmes Revolver 380, Castle Mamba Micro X2 and BEC, and 800 MA 3s battery. I'm running my rear steer on channel 6 of my FlySky GT5 same as you do with your big Capra so it's independent and I love it. Wish I could post pics here, haha. I wonder if anyone has any shock recommendations as well. Mine are a bit binding and tend to do weird droops toward the driver side on straight and level running.
These baby Capras are killing it! They are pretty capable crawlers and with a few mods you were making some of the same lines as your 1/10 vehicles! Already, the aftermarket support for these is crazy and it's revived interest in mini comps! Great vehicle, great video, thanks! 👍
@@DurpVonFronz No way a 1/24 rig tackles this terrain unless heavily modified and then, whats the point (like Logan said)? Still, glad to see the AX chassis re-introduced, even if in a smaller scale. It will be a great way to get into a competitive chassis and has tons of potential. For me though, 1/18 is far more versatile.
@@jerryvolpini7987 The 1/18 will be too big for indoor courses like my Carpet Mountain. Outdoor.. just run 1/10ths I dont see the point in something just a tad bigger then a 1/24 when a 1/10 will crush it. Like a Danchee for the same price.
@@DurpVonFronz Indoors is where the 1/24 rigs belong (assuming you have a place with a course), they are not very capable outside. The 1/18 is small enough to use indoors (not competing) but has much more versatility outdoors. Best of both worlds. I think it all depends on what you're looking for but for me 1/18 is a great compromise between the 2 sizes ✌❤
I love mine. It has been a fun rig to drive. I have done the Treal treatment. Brass portal outers, aluminum servo mount, steering linkages, rear upper link mount.
You just sealed the deal for me on this video. I really like my 24s to run in the back yard and the cheaper parts. I think the UTB18 will give me the benefit of cheaper parts and maybe still not be too large for my course or be a good size to pack on hikes. Thanks for the content!
Would really love to see you demo this vs a mostly stock 1/10 Capra. I bet the conclusion would be surprising, I just don’t know if you would find this more or less capable than we think.
I love my baby Capra, also run the HW 1080, love it. Axial overdrive front and Team Garage Hack underdrive rear. Think I’m about 30% total and works Awsome. Custom built my own stainless links with +10mm in the rear. Little rig just works. Brass box front ( not rear) went cheap with Injora negative offset bead locks with proline class 0 BFG. Now if it would just quit raining in Oregon. Love you content .
Hey great crawlin! I just got one UTB18. Really enjoying it. So far I added axial's front weights and brass hexes, some treal steering links and knuckles and I am installing the furitek system because, well why not? The 1080 is a terrific idea! No trouble fitting it all in? Cheers! And subbed!
Just a question I bought one of these because I liked you video of it but thats not the issue the one that I bought came with a faulty transmitter just wouldn't work note: both battery terminals faced the same way I figured Axial knows what its doing so I sent it back and bought another only to be faced with the same exact problem. The battery terminal had both springs next to each other and both terminals next to each other I've never ever seen that before usually one faces one way and the other faces the opposite way, did your trucks transmitter come like this or is this a problem from the factory, thanks for your help?
So if I put in a 1080 I have to get a new controller & receiver is how it works? I have a new 1080 sitting & a 1:18 Capra. I have a Flysky 5 with a extra receiver & only one vehicle on it so I could switch to it & that would also give me a controller with enough channels to use it for 4 wheel steer which eventually I’d like to do. Thanks for the tips. That Reefs servo is wild.
Check out the Capra parts at Treal & Club 5 I picked up a bunch of stuff at good prices. Got all new metal black body panels anodized rear middle links front orange anodized front links rear light etc.
Idk I think u definitely need to revisit the 24th crawlers, all ur problems u mentioned can be fixed with upgrades, not just making it bigger but there are oil filled shocks and brass wheels for nice weight down low and lots more, out of all my rc cars the 24 has some of the most upgrades available I have seen
Are u coming to slikrok event on 17 through 19th of February in sand hollow. If so please bring come and ride with us in your RZR. And bring your chupa Capra. We would love for u to come ride with us!
I gotta stop watching your videos dude!! Ima have to go buy one of these! Love my 1/10 Capra 4WS but it’s been in pieces for two months now just goin back together. Kinda excited, I put some great upgrades into it including a vanguish 3gear with dig unit….havent decided fusion se 1800 or pro 2300.of course it’s stretched a lil too! Only thing missing is a metal cage! Almost pulled trigger from RC SPEEDY then all the complaints came outta the woodwork so I shred away…any suggestions? Maybe a “chupa” or ?..
Hi Logan my friend Im VERY HAPPY with my UTB Capra 18 . Just waiting on the upgrades. Thanks for posting SIR. Hope you have a GREAT weekend 🇬🇧🇺🇲🤩✌🏼🤟🏼
I like „Crawlerble“ lines 😊👍🏻
Love mine treal brass, overdrive, vanquish wheels j concept tusks, deez bands, 1080 nock off and a raw 400! Fun little trucks!

Love my Mini Capra! I went with a Reefs 299lp servo, the furitek system with a castle bec, some brass and of course 1.55 Boggers

That was a cool video as usual.
Still have to order some parts then my utb project will be ready to go

That's a great video. I always wonder where the filming is. It looks like a rock crawling sanctuary.👍👍👍

I lowkey really enjoy this thing. I’m running the Holmes 380 and it’s amazing
Would really love to see you demo this vs a mostly stock 1/10 Capra.
I bet the conclusion would be surprising, I just don’t know if you would find this more or less capable than we think.
The throttle control alone would be noticeable to the driver.
That's working up to be an awesome rig. You should build another strait axle kit and slap some elements axles under a second build. 🤣
Um, yep, considering picking one up. Great vid as always.
Sweet rig😎
I like that your pup is in the thumbnail 😎
Cant wait to get my first rc
Always enjoy your videos and seeing where you run your awesome rigs, especially since I live in this area as well.
Sid in the House! 😂
Nice run I’m thinking a softer tire/foam would change it up a bit. The pitbull pbx are fantastic tires with a real thin rubber to them.

I just got one seems pretty cool havint done anything to it
Awesome video! Quick question! Will you be testing out the new 1/24 scale axial released?
What overdrive do you recommend for the 1/10 Capra? Awesome videos by the way.
What is the width of these axles compared to the 1/10 capra axles ?
will the ESC you installed work with a 4ws conversion?
Hi, can I ask you how is your setup for best/maximum Drag Brake on the Hobbywing 1080 ?
Hey great crawlin! I just got one UTB18. Really enjoying it. So far I added axial's front weights and brass hexes, some treal steering links and knuckles and I am installing the furitek system because, well why not? The 1080 is a terrific idea! No trouble fitting it all in? Cheers! And subbed!
It’s a squeeze but no cutting to make it work
Great vid man I always enjoy watching your vids nice camera angles too!
Day 6 of asking where the base camp build went
Stop asking because I’ve answered 3 times

Sydney might be the best part of some of your videos.
Sydney is great, I’m trying to decide if this is a compliment or insult 😆
@@westdesertwheeler compliment. I like the commentary on your videos. I can listen to them multiple times while at work and know what’s going on.

You are correct, switch ESC and either change to GT5 or buy a compatible spektrum receiver for stock radio. 🤘🏼
Its a great car I got dlux fab chassis and shocks 1080 ESC reefs 299 lp servo SSD steel wheels and little bits
Great video as always. Did you pick the v1 Hw1080 because it’s 1mm smaller over the new G2? How tight of a squeeze is it? Thanks!
Check out the Capra parts at Treal & Club 5 I picked up a bunch of stuff at good prices. Got all new metal black body panels anodized rear middle links front orange anodized front links rear light etc.
Was thinking these 1/18s would be sweet, but then the AX24 showed up..

I have one of my minis setup so nice it feels like driving my mini Capra, how easy it is to predict ect
hai fatto modifiche agli ammortizzatori in questo video?
I am from Canada I love your channel can you review the utb 18 stabilizer

What upgrades have I done to my minni capra? EVERYTHING... 100% better.. it resembles a minni bully. Now 🤑🙉
Like the video but ,not getting into another scale 1/10 , 1/24 . Keeps me busy enough.
Baby Capra is officially the unofficial Name for the UTB18 Capra.
Now buy another front axle and have 4ws!
I already have one!
