Thank you for sharing this delightful and creative technique. As a quilter this spoke to my heart and I will be making a few to give to my quilting friends. You do such a nice job on your videos, sharing ideas and techniques. I have been enjoying them all, but this one in particular really spoke to my creative process. Thank you
Thank you so much, Sandra! I have done a little quilting. I also have some of my grandmother's. Last week I was in Lancaster and saw some beautiful Amish ones. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Good luck with your quilts and cards!
Thank you for sharing these forgery cards. I am a and quilter as well as a card maker and had not ever thought of doing this. But I can hardly wait to give it a go. I love the baby card!! Also the Star pattern. Thanks again for sharing.
You are so welcome, Deanna! As a quilter, I'm sure you can imagine all the pattern possibilities! Using the embossing folder over it gives it texture and really makes it look like it's quilted. Enjoy! Let me know how it goes. I'd love to see what you come up with.
Thanks Barbara.... I also thought that came out cute... and happened just on a whim to use the tiny scraps. I think the wider border helped to keep the sizes of the pieces in proportion and also gave the card a more bold, graphic look. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
OHHH. This video is a keeper till I make a few of these beautiful cards!!! I needed a great idea for a set of cards for a quilter friend of mine. Thank you SO much. You do beautiful work and the way you explain things makes it very easy to copy. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
