Hi Lorraine, I’ve just found you on RUclips and I have to say, you’ve given me my mojo back! I’ve been stuck for so long but now I can’t wait to get back in my craft room and try your ideas. You explain things so well and don’t rush. Thanks so much from Chris in Australia. 🇦🇺
All of your cards are very pretty. I have the stamp and now I have an idea of how to use it. Thank you so much for not saying hello to each and everyone who is watching. That is so annoying. I’ve subscribed.
Thank you, Bettye! I'm glad you will try this with your stamps. I usually don't do live tutorials for that reason. I prefer to record, edit and post them without any unnecessary stuff. Nobody wants their time wasted. Thanks for subscribing!🙂
I’m new to cards-as in baby, squinting new! I LOVE, as an Aussie, the calm way you describe and show what you do. I really like the banner punch ? I don’t have a die cut machine & will wait awhile before I move to that option? I like how you show HOW to match up the interior pattern/window. ❤ from Brisbane. 🇦🇺❤️
Aw, thank you so much for your kind compliment! I'm glad you enjoy the tutorials and hope they continue to inspire you as you begin your stamping journey. Take baby steps and work on just a few things at a time. Otherwise, it can all be overwhelming, and you will not feel successful. Start with just stamping, then add some punches, then you can get into embossing and die cutting. Good luck and please stay in touch regarding your progress or if you have any questions along the way.
I love your card. It’s genius with the punch and perfect for a travel project, which I need for this weekend. I also love the idea of embossing the strip of white. What a difference that makes in terms of focal point as well as adding interest & texture. Great video Lorraine. Thanks.
Thank you so much Lynda! I really appreciate your detailed feedback and I'm glad you like the cards. I agree that embossing the strips makes for a more finished look and added interest. Thanks for watching and enjoy the project! Let me know how you make out. I love to see other versions!
I think this is pretty. I will stamp just the flower on the backside and color it also. I think it will tie the card together to see the backside of the flower through the window when the card is opened.
Yes, I agree that not seeing the white back is more pleasing. Just remember that the image will be reversed from what you do on the front and may not match up perfectly. You can stamp it a few times though to look like a cluster. And/or hand color the parts that don't get covered by the stamp. Good luck and have fun!
Lorraine thank you so much git showing the mini die cut. I’ve just started checking into stamping etc., and really appreciate your in depth demonstration. Love your videos. ❤ thanks for sharing your beautiful art.
Thank you, Lydia! I'm glad you are finding the videos helpful. Have fun as you continue to learn about stamping. Feel free to contact me at lorraine@stampwithlorraine.com if you have any questions. 😊
Oh, thank you, Leonie! That is an awesome compliment! I appreciate your desire to have me as your demonstrator, but you are correct that I cannot sell outside the US. You can, however, take part in any classes or programs I may offer. Make sure you are signed up for my newsletters and you might want to take advatage of that sometime. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
This looks like a great way to turn a card from ordinary to special. I think the key holes create a vintage look that's very appealing. Thanks for sharing these examples - your cards are lovely!
I never knew tacky glue could be used as a temporary adhesive and your idea of tying the ribbon round the glue dots was ingenious. I have most definitely learned many new things today for which I am very grateful. Your keyhole cards with flowers and embossing strips are gorgeous and definitely different. Tyvm for sharing your knowledge x
