Maymay shows you 10, YES 10! super easy to make cards that will use up those pattern that you may not like or use those large scraps!
These cards are so simple you will facepalm!!!!

~~Measurements~~
Card 1:
Base is 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
Front mat: 3" x 5 1/4"
Side mat: 1 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Sentiment mat: 2 3/4" x 5 1/4"
Card 2:
Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score on the 8 1/2" sode at 4 1/4" to have an A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Front mat(floral): 3 3/4" x 5" on this piece you will find the center and then measure down 1 1/2" , and then on both sides measure down 1" ( see the video)
(2) White mats that are 4" x 5 1/4" , one for the front and one for the inside
Card 3
Base: A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
(2) mats that 4" x 5 1/4" one for the front and one for the inside
Floral piece is 3 3/4" x 4 1/4"
Check piece is 3" x 4"
Card 4
Base: A2 take cardstock that is 4 1/4" x 11" and score on the 11" side at 5 1/2" , this will make a top fold card base
(2) mats 4" x 5 1/4" one for the front and one for the inside
(4) strips 3/4" and long enough to extend over the edge of the mat
Take the front mat and measure in 2" and 1 1/8" to find the point ( see the video) and then come up the side at 3 1/8"
Card 5
Base: 11" x 5 1/2" score on the 11" side score at 1 1/4" ~~ 3 3/8" ~~ 7 5/8" and 9 3/4"
Inside mat 4" x 5 1/4"
(2) of each mats for the large side front sections 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" and 1 1/2" x 5"
(2) of each mats for the small front sections 1" x 5 1/4" and 3/4" x 5"
Belly band 1" x 11"
Card 6
Base: A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Floral piece 3 3/4" x 5"
red piece 4" x 5 1/4"
Card 7
Base: A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Mat 4" x 5 1/4"
Strips 1" wide
Card 8
Base: A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Focal piece is 4" x 4" cut a part that we cut into 1" strips
Mat 4" x 5 1/4"
Card 9
Base: A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

A piece of cardstock that will hang over the edges of the card mat to create your angle( see the video)
Card 10
Base: A2 that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Fabulous tutorial, MayMay! This is one I'll be saving so I can return frequently for card making inspiration. I'm a paper junkie and can't stand to throw away even the smallest scrap of designer paper. These are great ways to use them up!

I LOVE THIS! In general, I am really OCD about measuring and angles, etc. You just took the 'headache' out of the process. I love making quilt tops and making paper quilt designs for cards and such. I recognized most of the designs you used from different quilt patterns and their variations. Thank you for taking the time to research and to share your process with us! Now, I'm going to have to go back to making more cards!

I love your cards! I’m just getting back into crafting after a good 15 years of health problems holding me back. It’s amazing how much has changed and how much has stayed the same! I really enjoyed this style of cards, it just so happens I’m working on a similar one for Mother’s Day that I think of as paper quilting, that I arranged strips, though I did a 5x7 card. I’m still in progress as I watched this, as I’m getting ready to stitch embroidery floss on it as well, outlining each strip to make them stand out more. A local Scrapbook store had a Stitching Demo class for National Scrapbooking Day last weekend and it’s amazing how much it adds to your pages and cards. I’d post it if YT would let me, so far I have the holes pierced and am ready to start stitching tomorrow. Now I have ideas for other ideas paper-strip layouts, thanks!

Thank you for the ideas using patterned paper. So many card makers online are only using stencils, which I don’t really care for. The paper is more versatile and the reason I got into card-making…cutting and gluing! 😊
