Back in the 60's, I owned the rare 64 Nova SS. This car is very hard to find. You can find 63 and 65 all day but NOT a 64. Mine was painted Midnight blue with light blue interior. Factory with a 283 and Muncie 4 speed. Great car I would love to have back.
Nice cars but I think the property is the real show stopper. I live in the Midwest and have 3 acers of wooded land but nothing that looks like this guys place, Beautiful
I had a 1969 Dodge Dart GTS with a 383, 4bbl, 4-speed and headers. I left it with my Dad when I was stationed in Germany in 1971 & 72, and he went and sold it so he could pay his bills.
Oh, yes. Fifty four years ago I bought my first new car, a 1964 Chevy II Model 100, 2 door, 194 cu. in. six cylinder engine. I guess was probably my favorite car. I chose the heavy duty suspension option (ha, ha, it cost less than an additional $10.00). At 75 mph, with the rear windows rolled half way down (that was as far as they would lower), the big bore exhaust made a beautiful throaty "BRRRRRRR". Sure, I miss it but you can't live in the past (but you can visit there from time to time).
To the Owner...great Bday present!! Every find what the source of the engine noise was? Gorgeous car its worth spending on you already know that from the looks of that double nickel!
@gordocarbo The noise was & is really attributed to using a cell phone as a recording device. Over the past 5-6 years, the only issue was the alternator. There is an update video about the Nova from up in NY. Thanks for watching... subscribe, and you can keep up with our videos as we get them released.
the reminiscing begins,i had a 55 chev,a 72 chevelle 2 door hardtop,2 68 impalas,a camaro berlinneta,a camaro sc,an iron duke camaro,an iroc z and now my trans am is the latest and greatest.
austin teutsch I had one 2 door inline 6 power glide I DAMN sure miss it and lost 1000s if I just kept it these days sold mine at Ft. Eustis Va. 1977 very sad now.
Very nice B-Day present. Wish someone would do up a 62/63 Nova 2 wagon. My father had one and I use to sit on his lap and he taught me how to shift .. it was a wagon with a 3 speed (maybe a 4 speed). Was light blue. I was like 5 years old .. he sold it to get a 66 impala that was a big block and a very rare car if I had it today .. but he sold that.. then got a 77 Vega that I beat to crap and he had to scrap it. Lol. But that Nova wagon was a cool car.
Wow you saw , he vacations on the driver window felt with his drink inside the car . Then with his wrist watch he malls the rear fender . Also puts his oily hands and arms wherever he wants being to tired to stand . HIS OLD CAR ?????? he cant find the hood release . lol .
canadian boy I had a built small block in a 67 Chevelle with a high lobe long duration cam and when we first put the motor together it had that same sewing machine sound in the valve train . Turned out our valve springs weren’t stiff enough and had to change lifters for our application. The valves were tapping against the rockers. Stiffer valve springs and different lifters made it run much better and got rid of that sewing machine valve train noise.
I have a blue one just like it. It’s a factory SS car 0447 for the first 4 of the vin proving it’s a factory SS. So many are clones now an days I just wonder if that’s a factory SS 283 car like the badges displayed say it is. It’s missing the front chrome across the lip of the hood and missing the chrome strip on the back part of the deck lid but it’s still a clean car. They need to get the lower tension hood springs for the fiberglass hood so it can stay up on it’s own
Had a 63 2 door coupe with a 327 300 horse 4 speed that would beat up any big block in the 8 th mile and smoke any small block in the quarter mile because of the weight.
He said it's the wrong color. There's nothing wrong with that color. He just needs glasses. That color is perfect. He must like orange or yellow. Oh well to each their own.
A roller cam doesn’t make noise, a solid lifter might but not like that. Ticking time bomb in that lil nova. Buddy sold it to her after a few balls out trips down the strip🥴
Holy craps, this brings tears to my eyes, reminds of my 55 Chevy when he was shifting the car! Happy Birthdayy!!
That sir is a absolutely beautiful car, the only thing i can say is " i wish it was mine " 👍

the noise is the fan/power steering combined with a possible header gasket leak.this car is mint and runs great.
??
Truly a beautiful auto that screams power.
If i was ever to drive a Chevy, that would be the car I would want, it's even the right colour and a 4 spd car!
0:32 - 0:35 everyone's hearts dropped :)
Luv those 62/72 nova ! Beautiful cars !

It's a car that makes life fun ♪
This is when the car companies actually made cars that ran like hell and didn't look like other cars.
austin teutsch I had one 2 door inline 6 power glide I DAMN sure miss it and lost 1000s if I just kept it these days sold mine at Ft. Eustis Va. 1977 very sad now.
austin teutsch Yes your exactly right!!!

That door slam though
You mean 'hood'?

my dad had a 64 nova it was stolen back in the late 70's by a guy he knew and worked with, never got it back.

Not a miss but needs a more powerful oil pump just took a while to pump the lifters up
I did the same thing to my hood, washers in back to raise it on my ‘61 bubbletop impala does work 👍🏻
Motor sounds funny, better check that!
That's a hell of a cool gift.
Great job, that's what family is all about.
Watch the damn pretty paint man!!
Wow you saw , he vacations on the driver window felt with his drink inside the car . Then with his wrist watch he malls the rear fender . Also puts his oily hands and arms wherever he wants being to tired to stand . HIS OLD CAR ?????? he cant find the hood release . lol .

Automobil je v překrásném stavu.
What's the story on the 55 chevy in the background as we're looking at the front of the car?

Had a '64 Nova wagon with a 300 hp 327 and a 4 speed. Sorry that I didn't keep it.
Lol you better watch your watch against that paint job....
Yes, I noticed that too
sounds like a wrist pin. or could be flattops running pump gas
Sweet ride congratulations...
I'm glad he likes it because in the beginning of the video he said it's cool but the wrong color
It's the right fricken color if I had a car like that given to me!!! Just sayin.
I want a birthday like that.
Something didnt sound right with motor when he opened hood
Oh, your watching it for a buddy while he’s deployed? Cool, Lemme waltz over and lay on it for ya.
My first thought was dude don't lean on the damn car !!! hahaha !!!
He said it's the wrong color. There's nothing wrong with that color. He just needs glasses. That color is perfect. He must like orange or yellow. Oh well to each their own.
he knows it sounds off
I mean it's a GM but it's still sweet .
Shoebox and a Nova? Sweet.
Nice ride
here in Argentina it's called Chevrolet 400
So classy...
that Nova is missing like my dentist appointment nice sound I want to know what cam do he have in it.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I had a chance back in 1989 to buy a 1967 nova for a thousand i should've taken advantage and bought it
proceon proceon Oh geeez!! Yeah that would be a regret for sure
Now that's a great birthday gift just saying
Super nice car.
Mike! “Wrong color though” nice paint though!
Cool video.
Wow.. love it’ 4 speed!😮
Its like a drum roll....
That's one loud engine!
The engine is loud when he raises the hood. Something wrong going on in the engine.
No doubt. Something does not sound right under the hood!
Kid raced it in Fl ? Over rev maybe ?
Nothing's wrong that's how a sbc roller cam sounds

Oh he was definitely happy. Probably overwhelmed emotionally
Men from our era were taught men never cry period from the time we were kids.
Might want to check the cam it sounds a little rough
