    I cannot wait to have a Dr. Berg success story...I promise my body is already hitting ketosis I can feel the change and it's been 4 days...I was doing a spiritual fast before this and noticed my body not craving sweets...I've done carb cycling for years and my body has plateaued...so one day I did some fasting research and found Dr. Breg. My body is building a better fasting tolerance since starting the diet!!

    Hi Dr.Berg,
    thank you for creating such informative content on this platform! These series of interviews specifically, are eye opening and its great to see people reaping all the benefits of Keto+IF. I was wondering if you could post a Skype interview/ video for a severely insulin resistant person with PCOS who has successfully lost weight and sustained on Keto + IF.
    thank you so much for all that you do Dr. Berg!

    I am very impressed with Prenny and wish him a bright lean and healthy future. Dr. Berg I am wondering whether you could help me understand what may be going on with my weight loss journey. I love the Keto way of eating, and started early May I've stuck with it and I do not snack and I have stopped the Kefir but I am hovering around 158 Lbs or 72 Kg. I am intermittent fasting 16/8 and have recently gone from 2 meals and now just eat one meal between 5-6pm and don't have anything until 10.30am ( other than some early morning water). I have never had a weight problem until 2 years ago when I started gaining post menopause weight and I went up to 165 lbs ( I am 58) my weight for most of my adult life was always 65 Kg I AM STUCK at 71-72Kg? Any suggestions please Dr Berg ? I have not started HIIT - is that all it will take to shift me as I know I am in Ketosis and only eat a very small meal lots of veggies and only 4-6 oz protein?? So many amazing stories from all your help , Thankyou Dr Berg.

    Hi dr. Berg! I LOOOOVE your videos, finally found someone that adresses the importance of insulin in the weght/fat loss process.
    I am a Diabetic Type 1 ... Ive been doing your 16:8 intermittent fasting method. AND I LOVE IT as results are amazing and I feel great. My problem is that my sugar level are going crazy!!! Specially during fasting and mornings (not after meals) so I guess Im actually getting into ketosis, but to the extreme of keto acidosis which is dangerous.
    The question is > Should i raise my basal insulin dose?? If I do, wouldnt that stop me from burning fat , as more insulin is available in my body>
    Thankyou soooo much for your help!! Please add more videos for TYPE 1 DIABETES which as you now is very very different from Type2 !
    Thanks Again!

    WOWZA!! Dr. Berg, are you sure you want to "in general" put down MLM? A lot of people are living their dreams and helping others feel and BE AMAZING through that industry!! ME, for example. I am a grandpreneur - my life would be so boring without my AFFORDABLE Network Marketing business. I guess you'll never want to share my transformation, because I have USED products I sell to help me get in control enough to do what I KNOW I should be doing. I am very blessed BECAUSE of MLM. I had to share!! :) This is an awesome industry!!! Yes - in the olden days, this wasn't such an amazing industry - it is evolving into greatness and helping people live lives they otherwise wouldn't be able to. I LOVE MY NETWORK MARKETING LIFE!!! I GET TO babysit granddaughters a couple days a week - I can afford things I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford - I take trips I otherwise wouldn't be taking... at almost 70, my life is AMAZING BECAUSE OF my Network Marketing business. ...................I still love you and your tips!!! I watch you daily!! I learn so much. I love being a lifetime learner and a grandpreneur!! :)

      You are right, MLM doesn't mean they are not effective products. I should have state, I just personally don't get involved with MLM, but this doesn't mean they don't work or are not effective in any way.

    I thought the ketogenic diet was lots of veggies (non starchy), moderate protein and high fats, however, most interviewees I have seen eat tons of protein, ok fats and hardly any vegetables, which I don't think could be healthy long term, but I haven't seen this being said during the interviews.

    I'm just starting to do the intermittent fasting. I've been trying to get back on the low carb keto diet and have lost 13 pounds in my two week challenge. I'm experiencing some lightheadness, is that normal? I am on a five day steroid pack for a pulled muscle in my neck. I'm also wondering if I should allow some carbs or stay in ketosis? my beginning weight was 321 and a very tight 46 pants and 3xl shirts.

      @EricBergHRV 7 лет назад +8

      People ask me all the time, once I reach my goal, can I go back to carbs. Carbs got you there in the first place. The goal is to teach people how to really understand how food effects their body and put them in charge

    • @isaz597
      @isaz597 7 лет назад +3

      Eric Berg So basically stay on a low carb eating plan to keep weight off?

    • @jirihutecka9020
      @jirihutecka9020 7 лет назад

      It is not black or white like this. Carbs don't make you fat if you are in calorie deficit or if you can burn carbs as energy during active life.. People don't eat just excess of carbs. They are eating excess of everything. Virtually every single junk food is high in fat as well as carbs. I agree that keto is good for some people, but most of them will be ok with balanced diet. So adequate amount of calories and macro nutriens for their level of activity.. Carbs alone don't make you fat. Excess of calories will..

    • @prennyabs
      @prennyabs 7 лет назад +2

      Is Az I have made many mistakes and had many victories. But I'm still learning, everyday. as mentioned by Jifi, I will have to learn and adopt something more moderate and balanced if for some reason I stop enjoying what Im doing right now.

    10:58 "calories burnt is twice as much as you would get at a gym"... This is just factually untrue.

    • @prennyabs
      @prennyabs 7 лет назад +1

      Osama bin Obama not for me it's not. I've measured my output with a chest strap in both scenarios and an evening of ultimate burns almost twice as much as one of my gym sessions.

    • @osamabinobama4954
      @osamabinobama4954 7 лет назад +1

      Did you just go to the gym and sit around or did you actually lift heavy weights? The muscle mass that you accumulate and the effort used in high burst of reps create a caloric loss that outweighs all other exercise even challenging HIIT. The increase of muscle mass (by doing compound movements, Squats, deadlift, benchpress, military presses, lats rows and bent over rows) will also increase your caloric burn (more muscle, more energy used by the body). On top of that your insulin resistance will get much better due to the fact that the body needs the carbs to replenish the muscles energy storage.
      If you want to loose weight and build an athletic body then this is the ultimate way, you should seriously consider it, you might loose 50 pounds ASAP.
      Good job on your weightloss tho bro! Keep up the good work!

    Ok, now I know that I am going to do the exact opposite of what Berg advices and I will be good. If something takes you 6 weeks to get into and one drink to get out of, it sucks big time and I will never believe such foolishness again.

    • @loyalfriend5354
      @loyalfriend5354 6 лет назад

      It looks him six weeks to get into ketosis. He said the first way list weight was wrong for him. Are you him? The thing about ketosis and intermittent fasting is you make it fit your body within the guidelines of low carbs, moderate protein and high fat. I don't eat meat yet I can follow keto eating and I have lost weight, feel better, gotten rid of inflammation, increased my energy and other positive benefits.
      Listen to your body and find out what you/it needs.
      All the best.
