@Heapie84 You're right. Halo 1, 3, and ODST have legendary endings specific to them. They also have endings only seen after the credits, but there are little extra bits if you play it on legendary. In fact, if you stick after the credits on Halo 1, you can see that guilty spark survived the first Halo ring. That's the end-credits ending.
@dgineye naw he was only there for like 8 hours, he crash landed at night and the marines tracked his landing trajectory when he came through the atmosphere, they went after him as soon as they could.
i still get goosebumps even though this is probably the most anticlimactic ending to any videogame. i was disappointed at the time but looking back i love how they decided to end the sequel because it sure as hell got you pumped for halo 3.
@MountainDoop Halo takes time to "charge up" before firing and when the key is removed at 0:20 it interrupted the firing sequence and went to type of "Fail Safe" so the ring would not prematurely fire and destory the ring.(0:26-0:32) The micro sun you see is the reaction of the "Fail Safe" (0:44-0:47) then there is a lead on to Halo 3.
@tylon2007 The giant plant thing is the gravemind. The gravemind is the mind of the flood. And yes it is that thing that won't stop talking when u save Cortana. It got to Earth by taking High Charity and using it slipspace drive to come to Earth to stop Truth from firing the ark. And when u activate Halo and u get on Forward Unto Dawn and u leave by portal; the gravemind is destroyed with Halo, therefore killing the last bit of Flood in the galaxy.

@kxsamurai After he said "this is spartan 117" the Dreadnought went into Earth's atmosphere, so to prevent the Covenant from spotting him, he needed to get off the ship as soon as possible, so he decided to jump, before jumping, he grabed a piece of the ship and used it as a shield to prevent himself from burning up while he is entering the atmosphere. and to prevent "falling to his death" he went into Armor Lock!
I way really glad Human Weakness was written, becuase it does clear up the time with cortana at the end of halo 2, where she is strong and resists the gravemind, saying "All right, shoot." and when you find her in halo 3 and she is on the brink of rampance. it also explains why you always have those flashback-like things with cortana at random points in the campign.

@leo2404 If they were to do that, they could add in all the awesome stuff that was cut from the original and teased about in the special edition commentary. 2 levels: Forerunner Tank, which takes place between Regret and Gravemind as Master Chief and, from what I understand, features some sort of physical encounter with Gravemind during gameplay. The other is Forerunner Ship, which was supposed to be the final "Warthog Run" level as MC on the Forerunner Dreadnought after defeating Tartarus.
It doesn't matter the difficulty you tackle Halo 2 on, the same cutscene will roll after the credits. I played it on Heroic, and then on Legendary, both times waited through the credits, it still showed on Heroic.

Well, right now I'm working on Episode 4 of The Gnorga Chronicles, although I haven't made much progress - my biggest task right now is to collect all the Total Drama episodes, pick out all the best scenes to use, and develop a sentence mixing template for Heather taking advantage of all her scenes over three seasons. The Total Drama series is BY FAR the most complex body of work I've ever worked with extensively, meaning this video won't be out for a Long Time.

u can get a banshee in there... no glitch. u go in through the door that was blasted through and go up. the door wont open on the other side , so u get out and get back in. kill the brutes with your banshee when u enter the room. then go through the door where u meet the king brute. go behind u and go the the doorway where johnson is and the banshee will be there.
This is the ending after the credits. i was playing normal because i felt like it and beat the game and figured it wait for the credits to search for an alternate ending. this is it.

because they knew that the covenant would try to activate the rings on relgious grounds, and the humans and flood would both be obliterated. so instead of fighting against eachother, they would figure out how to stop the covies from activating Halo

Doing so it wiped out all existence of the forerunners and flood and all other life. The flood servived deep withen some part of the universe and DNA of every life form but the flood was stored in a massive data base via halo legends. Humans are ancestors of the forerunners and are called "Reclaimers".
Halo CE's ending appealed a lot more to me. All the eyes on Masterchief who could only escape just in time, with ambiguity of him ever returning. And 0:43 I never realised this was meant to mean that the ring was stopped from firing only just in time :O. And what does Masterchief exactly mean by 'finishing this fight'? Does he mean to say he's ready to drop and go on fighting (like what happened in Halo 3)?

I think they should make more Halo games telling the stories of other Spartans from around the Halo universe like they did with Reach. they have quite a few books they can still go with.
@cherryhobo well actually halo reach came before halo 1 because all spartans died except master chief until halo 4 where they made other spartans using project IV which is how carter became a spartan to make other spartans on planet Onyx because the ring was destroyed in halo 1

Mmm, while I love the 1st and 2nd campaigns, I have to say I like 3's the best. Just the idea of everyone finally realizing that they're all gonna die if they don't work together was just amazing. Plus I really like all the character development and twists compared to the other 2.

@marbatch13 the chief had to leave her behind for some reason in some room i forget why but he was coming back for her, in the mean time that room or where ever cortana was when cheif left was taken over by the flood then grave mind captured her
@OpticXnation well they arent fully wiped out..the flood was recreating itself on the Covenant Ship...that Gravemind thingy was the main source so..thats why there arent any in halo 3 odst

I just finished Halo 2 on legendary...man that's a big cliff hanger for Halo 3.

You do realise that you can just see this cut-scene after Halo 2's credits? Same with that last "Mysterious" cut-scene at the end of Halo 3
