Johnsan has Boren's Syndrome a nervous system defect resulting from heavy exposure to the electromagnetic fields caused by plasma. This condition saved him from the Flood's ability to infest the minds and bodies of hosts; the abnormal frequencies in his nervous system served as a buffer, keeping the Flood out of his mind. As it protects him from Flood attempts to control him, he gains a curious regenerative ability.
nah. according to the books, he ended up fleaing from the flood (he has a disease that scrambled his nerve DNA... so it would confuse flood easily) and jumping into a cryo tube and ejected himself into space... with a little help from the explosion. This just makes it even funnier to imagine what he must have REALLY looked like when he got thrown off of halo
To all you ppl who think johnson dies here he doesent if u have halo 2 play the very first lvl and the soldier who is testing your controls asks johnson "when you gonna tell me how u made it back home in one piece?" than johnson says "sorry guns its classified"

It's purpose was not to eliminate the Flood, but rather to kill off all their food within a 150 light-year radius around Halo, therefor starving the Flood and eliminating their ability to multiply. Because of the Floods ability to withstand unconventional deaths (hence Halo not working on them) I'm sure you should now understand how they pose such a serious threat to the entire galaxy.

I saw a video were this kid enters a camera mod and see MC's face when he takes off his helmet at the very end...and the funny thing is that Bungie never made him a face, so he takes his helmet off of...another helmet...its very cool. I don't know how to find the video but ill look.
actually the arbiter doesnt have a name, his title to all covenant is The Arbiter, the second highest rank to being a Prophet , i guess his real birth name isnt known
