Yeah I had to wait for a long hell of a time
It certainly wasn't the longest of waits, but yeah. Tbh, it was completely worth it in the end. Bungie delivered way more than we could have ever asked for.
I remember visiting my uncle's house as a kid and seeing their brand new xbox console and playing halo for the first time. It was such a blast! When I got to the flood it freaked me the f out though. I was like 9.
It was agony as a kid, me and my cousins made up theory’s to how halo 3 would start right up until it released and we were all wrong lol

I haven't seen the original ending but the music suddenly playing when the screen goes black is still epic, perfect for cueing the credits to roll down the screen too
I didn't mind, the transition from the cutscene to credits here was good enough with the blackout.

Halo 3 is the most anticipated thing this year oh and then there's this new Spider-Man movie that will be something I guess also there's this new Transformers movie where the Transformers are coming to live action for the first time and a 5 year old little boy somewhere is going to see one of his childhood heroes in Red and Blue Transform for the first time and be in absolute awe before he knew who Master Chief was and took way to long to be elevated to the same level in that boys eyes (imo)
Been playing through all the games in prep for Infinite, and this final boss + ending felt so rushed lol. I can't imagine having to wait another 3 years for Halo 3

Remembered finishing this game back in the early 2000s and I was like "thats it?!" it sucked back then to wait for H3 but looking back at it, its a pretty badass ending.
Oh man, was too young to play this at the time but I imagine it’s similar to how I felt after the ending to Modern Warfare 2. Suppose I only had to wait two years at least.

They messed up on the song when the ring fires the bolt into space. The old song was better. Classic nailed it perfectly, Anniversary doesn't seem that epic.

WHO was in charge of the final cutscene edit? The original cut was perfect. After he says "finishing this fight" in the original, the ending credits music starts immediately. In this one there's this dead awkward pause. Totally kills the energy that the original edit has. Who made THAT decision to "fix" what wasnt broken. Yikes.

Quick question. Was the little pulse from the middle of the Halo ring basically a misfire?
I believe it was charging up to fire, then when Keyes removed the index, it shoots a little pulse into the main beam to neutralize it and stop it from firing. I don't know, sci fi stuff lol

Gotta say, I agree with you. They fucked up a whole lot of the artstyle and the mood in the anniversary, and quite ironically, they used that smoke and mirrors bullshit. (If you don't get that joke, it's from the behind the scenes extras for Halo 2)

The CG looks incredible, but something feels off about this scene, it feels disjointed and not as impactful.

Too much noise. The music is distracting rather than complimentary (also kinda tone-deaf?), and the sound mixing is all over. A great example to prove that more is not always better.

Parkour Creator The Chaos Bringer It’s a remaster, they can’t add in stuff like that. The game is supposed to end on a cliff hanger. From what I recall, the devs were too ambitious with the plot to fit it all into the game come release day, so they split it to lessen the load & finish the story arc in Halo 3.
I’m be honest I’m glad they kept the cliffhanger it was awesome
