I am a seamstress but I can’t make a pattern to save my life what advice could you give me to help I get brain freeze when it comes to drawing and measurements 😵💫🤒🥴 I have watched how to make a basic body bodice, and when I draw it, it comes out a disaster nothing lines up
I went through this phase when I started learning. the technical drawings was so intimidating to me and I made sure I avoided it each time I see them. I always look for the simple method but I wasn’t getting the right results, always one fitting problem’s or the other Until one day I made up my mind to just be patient and give it little attention it was very challenging at first but as I gave it more time it became less challenging and here we are today I don’t even use the techniques I started with because they don’t do it for me I still feel some certain way when I see drawings of patterns I haven’t done before but because I have basic understanding of how to interpret them so it doesn’t seem as intimidating as when I first started. It’s a mind thing first
