- Today's video is a big wrap up of all the books I've read since I last did a reading wrap-up (back in Feb/March). It's been a slow few reading months, but I've read some really fun books and I wanted to share them with you.
i loved "Emily Wilde" too! So cozy, so lovely. Can't wait for the second book. ❤
It was such a cosy story 💛 I’m so excited for the next one too 😍
The tiny jumper ❤I hope this new week finds you feeling even better 🙏🏼 thank you for sharing your unique book cravings!
I know! 🥺 thank you so much, and glad you enjoyed the video 💛
So happy to have you back! I really hope your symptoms get better soon. ❤ The more I watch your videos the more I realize just how similar our reading tastes are haha! We pick up a lot of the same books. I also really enjoyed Emily Wilde!
Thank you so much! 💛
Emily Wilde was such a lovely, cosy read! 😍✨
Omg a fellow North and South lover haha love it💜 I can't get over the very last pages of this book... plus some of the quotes at the beginning of the chapters were so beautiful !
I highlighted soooo many passages in this book! Such beautiful writing 😍
Yaay! I'm first here. 😊
I am currently reading “A sky painted gold” by Laura Wood - I immediately thought of you as it’s a historical coming of age story, set in Cornwall. I think it’s set on St Michaels Mount though it doesn’t say that. Thank you for this video, perfect viewing while I am lying on the sofa feeling cold & a bit ill (like I have a cold coming, though possibly Covid) & sorry for myself. I hope your morning sickness passes for you soon, I feel for you as I felt sick throughout my 2 pregnancies (but was never actually ill). A blink of the eyes and I am now the proud owner of 2 teenage boys aged 14 and 18. Wishing you the best pregnancy from heron in ❤
I adored A Sky Painted Gold - such a warm and lovely story 😍
I hope you feel much better soon! Thankfully the worst of my morning sickness is over so I’m feeling a bit more normal now! 😅
I have been watching all your videos and I love how cosy and beautiful they are. I love the little details they have and I also love your voice, I find it so comforting and calm... Thank you for this video💕
That’s so kind of you to say, thank you so much ✨☺️
Such a great, cozy wrap-up! I loooove North and South and Rebecca Ross is an auto-buy author for me as well! I felt the same about A Lady's Guide to Fortune-Hunting. The Ballad of Never After is soooo addictive! I read it in one sitting I couldn't put it down!
Awh thank you Miriam 💛 we definitely have a very similar reading taste!! North and South is an absolute new favourite 😍 and I can’t believe how addictive Stephanie Garber’s books are to me. Every time I pick the next one up I don’t feel super excited to read it, then an hour later I’m so hooked and don’t want to do anything else 😂
I'm just about to start A Cornish Stranger by Liz Fenwick. It's a romance story, i think, maybe, historical romance. Did you read it? Is it any good? She has few books set in Cornwall.
I haven’t read that one, you’ll have to let me know your thoughts once you’ve read it!
Would you say there's anything in The Queen's Rising that would be inappropriate for a 13 year old? I'm considering sending it to my cousin's daughter, who loves fantasy.
I think it’s listed by the publishers as 14 and up, and I don’t remember anything that would be inappropriate for a 13 year old, so I would think it’s fine! I think I would have loved reading the book at that age too! ☺️✨
