I agree on the Serpent audio book! I bought the audio to reread it the day before Ashes came out and I wasn’t super crazy about it. I think this is def a book that is such a better experience to read physically. Daughter of no worlds no.. I loved the voice actor for Tisaanah I thought she had such a beautiful voice! I somehow read 19 books this month 😅 most books I’ve ever read in a month and most of them were really good!
I felt the exact same! Yours truly was a 5 star for me and happy place was a 3 for me if that!! That’s hilarious I read happy place and then yours truly right after! So in love with yours truly! Love the mental health representation
My favorite book of the month was Network effect by Martha Wells (that's 5th book in Murderbot diaries), definitely my fave scifi series. Iced out was so good, i really liked how conflict made sense, and it wasn't something unnecessary for the sake of drama
Your comments about The Serpent and the Wings of Night persuaded me to read it a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it! It’s one of my favorite all time books. I was tearing up watching your comments about the sequel about how good it is. Will be reading it soon!
Best book of the month goes to Yours Truly. I listened to the audiobook and in a weird way it feels like I know them now. I think about that book all the time. 🥰
Oh thank god im not the only one who feels this way about the audiobook to the serpent and the wings of night. I tried listening to the audiobook with children of fallen gods and I just couldn’t do it. The way the narrator tried voicing max was so bad lol.

I am going to read six scorced roses and Clockwork Princess upon your recs here, and stay clear of the Emily Henry one for now
Loved Lilith and vale. That got me out of my fantasy slump and I gave it 5* I think. The Ashes book; however, put me right back in a slump. I gave that 4*.
I'm torn on an heir comes to rise I'm on book 3 and I'm kind of into it idk huge tog fan though so I see what you're saying but I do think it goes out on its own. Loved serpent so so much. Lady of darkness I liked also but let me tell u book two grabbed me right away and I'm convinced it gets better and better!!!!
I ended up reading An Heir Comes to Rise after watching your video, and found myself with the exact same opinion as you! i’ve since tried to pick up the second book in the series about 5 times & it’s just not clicking. I can tell the series had so much potential but the angst & “need to know more” aspect I look for in a fantasy romance was just lacking 😭 I think i’m most disappointed that I didn’t enjoy it because I just die for the covers in that series 🤩🤩 my best book of the month was obviously QOS, EOS & KOA, could anything ever top that?!??? 😭😭😭 I’m so excited for you to start your reread & hopefully we’ll get to see bits in upcoming vlogs!! 🤭🥀

Don't bother with continuing An Heir Comes to Rise. She continues to copy Throne of Glass even the characters are copied... a female character is introduced in the third book who is cold and kills humans and has IRON NAILS🙄🙄... I have no words for these books...

@ravenhairedreader Yup, it is so so bad. For each of her characters, powers, plot, you can find its twin in ToG and you don't even need to look that hard !!! I mean tropes get recycled, yes, but come up with your own story!! It's a cheap ripoff and I don't appreciate it!
