Your oval layout was cool, but this is a much better concept for a model railroad, it alows for much better scenery and realistic operation opportunities, just like you, i never finished my oval layout as i got bored of watching the train just go around, now i want to start a layout similar to yours, so i will keep watching your series and take some ideas from it. Good job! and Keep it up!
Your VLOG is very enjoyable. The sugar plant is a great idea and will find a home on my layout in the future! Track center to center is 13 scale feet (less than 2 inches), too small for our fingers, so we usually set track 2” apart (not one inch as you mentioned) center to center.
My top 3 RUclips Train layouts on youtube. 1. Summit Custom cuts - the BEST modern layout hands down. 2. Thomas Klimoski - Best operating layout with the coolest mods to Walthers structures. 3. Southern Alberta Rail - best scenery on youtube. There ya go! My top 3.
Nice addition, That sugar silo still ships sugar out here to Portland Oregon to Nabisco. Loveland Co. home to the Great Western Railway and the Colorado and Southern (BN). With Atlas turnouts if you using Caboose Indu ground throws from a 33 year forman, conductor yardmaster, for the UP. You can flip the switch point rod around so all your ground throws are on the sameside. I had a lot of older turnouts that where rivited to drill out and ordered from Atlas about 40 of the new one and they just clip right in on ether side that you want. Cost was about 20 cents each. Keep the videos coming the layout is looking good.
Great work. The silos are a great addition to the yard. And yes it is important to use real world locations as inspiration. Look forward to the next one. - Nicholas.
HO scale layout. I love the grain silos. I wanna a grain silos in N scale for my layout. Good luck with you hobby, where is you 🐱 Binx ? Scooby Doo bited the tail. Scooby Dum barked to you 🐱 Binx. You 😼 with my dog Scooby.
I did some math on the capacity of each of the silos. Each can hold over 5,400 cu ft x4 = 21,600 cu ft. If each covered hopper averages 2500 cu ft, it would take about 7-10 short covered hoppers to keep the silos filled.
Great video and things are shaping up nicely! I do like the Prairie Co-OP building you assembled which makes for a great addition to your layout. I may purchase one of those myself bcuz I'm finishing up on creating a railroad room in our new home. The room will also have an 8'x12' h.o. scale layout.
Hello! Have you ever considered doing a layout in N-Scale? Also in HO or N-Scale have you thought of doing your next layout using Kato Unitrack? Thank you for your time Sincerely Allan
I do go Road trippin and check out what I can Do it’s not easy I found a Facility And trying to figure it out how I want to place it. I do know what you’re talking About.
Nice improvements to the layout! How long does it take for that glue to dry? You should consider adding an industrial water tower. I think it would complement your industry area.
Nice work, particularly in your video production. What's your backstory? I just finished my own 2 x 10 shelf layout which is the Great Northern in MN in 1950. I also live on the Front Range, BNSF adjacent. I look forward to your progress!
I just always loved trains and filming so I combined them both haha. But thank you for the nice words. That sounds like a awesome layout. Also that’s so cool! 😁
nice! its lookin great! I'm hoping to get some flex track for Christmas to kinda kickstart my layout ideas. also, do you think Walthers is good for rolling stock? or is there some other brand that's good as well. I've Been keepin an eye on eBay for some tho.
Looking for alot of train cars if anyone have any websites someone would kindly tell me about on getting good cars in ho please dont want to be ripped off and only order from website i know and others i know knows about lol

Great suggestions, I’ll have to check them out 👍🏼
Nice job on the coop and the additions to the track plan will make it operate much better.

Wow that’s some good info to know, thank you! Also those are a good deal for all of those!

Thanks as always Nicholas 😁
Things are Coming along nice
you're so talented
Now that your main line is running behind the yard I would add cork roadbed under giving it the raised look you would see on the prototype
That is a good suggestion, I’ll have to think and see what looks the best 👍🏼
HO scale layout.
I love the grain silos.
I wanna a grain silos in N scale for my layout.
Good luck with you hobby, where is you 🐱 Binx ?
Scooby Doo bited the tail.
Scooby Dum barked to you 🐱 Binx.
You 😼 with my dog Scooby.
Very nice. I drive by those silos everyday. That line goes into Windsor. If you haven’t looked at that switching area it’s worth checking out.
That’s awesome! I’ve checked it out a couple of times. It’s pretty amazing
Nice job in the layout.
Flip Flop Switches and tracks Are Looking Good. Your Doin Fine Never Rush it.
Thanks man 😁

YESSS ANOTHER UPLOAD!! Great changes!
So far it looks good
Have you ever considered to take this new layout to a model railroad convention when you are done making this?
I haven’t. But doin that would be super cool (also scary lol)

Thanks! The Walthers building is a good pick up for sure. That sure sounds awesome though, large layouts are the best
👀
good job
Thank you Benton!
@@TopRailroad thats only my last name
Love it!
Your inspiring me to build a layout (btw I am probably going to use E-Z track)
E-Z track is still awesome!

You need some more locomotives and get sound in them. I thing that will look good
I can’t wait to do that! Sound would be awesome
Nice I recently subbed to u, good luck on your layout!
I do go Road trippin and check out what I can Do it’s not easy I found a Facility And trying to figure it out how I want to place it. I do know what you’re talking About.
It’s a cool area, would be awesome to do a more prototypical layout based on it
Nice improvements to the layout! How long does it take for that glue to dry? You should consider adding an industrial water tower. I think it would complement your industry area.
Thanks! I’m not sure I would say 12 hours to be fully safe. That is a good idea, I’ll have to look up some kits online 😁

Just curious, why are there such large gaps where the tracks join?
Gotta make room to add the rail jointers for flex tracks
@@MSRTA_Productions Thank you
I have an Ho train set and hoping to turn it into a layout under my bed
Sounds awesome!
@@TopRailroad Yea I got ore track coming in to make it larger

Thanks! And I do like Walthers rolling stock. There not the best on the market but there still really nice, especially for the cost.
@@TopRailroad ok thx!
You should add a coal mine somewhere
That would be a good idea. I’ll have to see what’s in my area 😁
@@TopRailroad ok it could possibly be in a corner with hills around the walls
hey I got a idea. what if u add a mini town?
That’s a great idea. I would love to have a small town but I may not have room on this section
Looking for alot of train cars if anyone have any websites someone would kindly tell me about on getting good cars in ho please dont want to be ripped off and only order from website i know and others i know knows about lol
You can always try modeltrainstuff.com or Lombard hobby. Ebay is a good place too as long as you use a good seller
Please stop using "more" with better and cleaner. It is incorrect grammar.
Nice I recently subbed to u, good luck on your layout!
Thank you 😁
