On my top deck I have “switching ops” you have to stand or sit on bar stool to run it. It’s very complicated but fun for an advanced railroader. On my bottom deck you sit on a garage stool and I have 2 mainline loops that you “just sit and watch the trains run”. I built the bottom for me and my 4 kids ages 2-9. It was really hard at first to build in a 20x15 foot space two loops with almost no sidings. We enjoy listening to 60s music and the kids honk the horn at all the crossings and we just play trains or watch them run. On Xmas day we were in there for 6 hours straight alone. Best decision I ever made. Been in n scale 27 years. And I have a RUclips channel documenting layout and scenery construction. Thanks Steve I like all the layouts you built but this is the best to date -Tyler
@@ItsMyRailroad you are definitely having fun modelling your way!👍 Now, that monster long car likely needs more weight onto the wheels in particular the lead and tail wheels. Another option could be to fix the center sets of wheels and slice off the flanges and minimize rail contact, with large radius curves it shouldn't be too obvious if they track just off the rails vertically and horizontally.
Your apocalyptic train is "Bleeping" AWESOME ! I Love it ! You have inspired me to do something similar.
