My daughter in law and I were just saying that bakers today want to do everything quick, but her and I said exactly what you said, it's therapeutic. The kitchen is our happy place. Thank you for reminding everyone that homemade is the best and shows family and friends how much you care.
Brenda, isn’t it wonderful having a daughter in law you are close to and do special things together? I miss my daughter in law (and the rest of the family as well) so much! They moved from Texas to Washington 3 years ago in December, so no sharing holiday baking with anyone anymore, pretty sure I’ll be making these pecan tassies for my contribution to Thanksgiving, much easier than making my fancy pumpkin log…recipe from Pillsbury paperback cookbooks…..
Whenever I try your recipe it comes out perfect and didn't get the same from other people. You share the recipe very clearly with all the details and with out hiding anything, that makes the difference and easy to follow...And always get the perfect results... Just love it... thank you...
I think it's because SHE is an expert. While others have recipes and blogs most are not professional AND she uses grams which are much more precise! Thank you
I’ve always said I’ve never met a cookie I didn’t like; however, Pecan Tassies are my favorite. I’ve been making them for decades. Thanks for a refresher course.
I will try the cream cheese pastry for sure. I really appreciate you for always getting all of the ingredients from the bowl, and not wasting it. My kids joke that there’s not much left to wash when I cook/bake 😉🇨🇦
This is so cute. I saw something similar in a savory version that were tiny green bean casseroles and it made me think it would be real fun to have a party with tiny appetizers for all the dishes in meal. Tiny turkey bites, tiny mac and cheese, tiny rolls. Lol and these tiny pecan desserts!
Stephanie, I don't know how I ever baked anything really spectacular before I found your channel! Once again, you have inspired me to make these delicious pastries. Oh my gosh, my family and friends will be amazed at how my baking skills have improved! :) Thanks for sharing.
Hi Stephanie, I’m 100% like you, I’d fill my cases with a tablespoon and totally take my time, I think if we’re able and time allows we should enjoy every step of cooking, not just the eating part! I love to take my time over the cooking process and definitely take longer than I need to at times, but like you I find it relaxing and so enjoyable, it’s my happy place, along with watching your tutorials! Thank you again for another lovely recipe …..Jan xxxxx♥️xxxxxx
I absolutely love all your recipes! When guest arrive unexpectedly I quickly go through your site and find easy recipes with no fail! I recently been in love with your lazy daisy cake! Always so nice seeing you!
Thanks for sharing this recipe. Pecan pie is my favorite. I have always wanted the recipe to these. Never knew the name so now I can make my own. Thank you so much. I love how you take your time and I can really understand what you are doing.
Im going to make these over the weekend. I made your German chocolate cake recipe today and as usual, it turned out amazing. Never fail recipes, always appreciated by everyone I share my bakes with!
I just made these pecan tassies and they were a huge hit. I used to love pecan tassies as a child when my aunt made them at Christmas. But I always thought they were too difficult to make myself. Your wonderful video gave me the confidence to try it and I'm so glad I did. They were delicious ... even on my very first try. And the dough was very easy to make. They were gobbled up in just a few days. I am getting ready to make another batch or two to share with friends and family this Christmas. Thank you!!!
Hi Stephanie. This was yet another fabulous recipe from you. I made them using almonds for the topping, rest being the same. The tassies( cutie pies as I like to call them) were delicious beyond words. I cannot tell you how joyful I felt in my heart while baking it! Notifications on your channel give me an irresistible urge to bake. Thanks a ton, Stephanie!
I have a similar recipe from my mom, made slightly different. I'm looking forward to trying your recipe. Only addition is a bit of powdered sugar sprinkled on while they're still warm!! Being a gadget person - I've already ordered the tart pastry tamper!! Thanks for posting this recipe ... just in time for the holidays 👍❤
These look really delicious& will make some on the weekend. I usually find it difficult to follow American recipes as the measurements are so different to the British measurements. But you were very clear explaining the measurements,(we Brits use weighing scales using pounds & ounces/metric (grams),we are not used to using cups etc for measuring) you have made it so much simpler & look forward trying these Pecan Tassies
These have become a MUST HAVE among our Christmas cookies every year since I discovered them on your channel YEARS ago! They are my personal favorites. Do yourselves a favor....make sure you're using a non-stick pan or you will go crazy trying to get them out!
These are so cute Stephanie. Been watching your channel off and on for years now and I never comment. These little pecan tassies really turned out beautiful. I'm definitely going to have to make these, especially since I like pecan pie. Thanks for always giving us accurate measurements and making the recipe easy to follow.
🌻🍂🍁🎃🇨🇦 Indeed we love our butter tarts; these pecan tassiers look so amazing; like your tip on using bit less sugar; but am down for trying this cream cheese pastry recipe to use with any filling; thank you.
I make pineapple jam filled empanadas with that pastry all year round to bring to get togethers and they come out amazing every time! I can’t wait to bake these this week!
Joy, you are aptly named! This was pure joy watching and listening to your video. I can’t wait to try these. What can be better than, cream cheese pastry, and pecans, butter and brown sugar? OH YUM!
Hi Joy happy new year just wanted to tell you i love how you show your recipes and measurements again thank you and yes i will be making your pecan tassies
I made mine with muffins molds, these are so delicious, they are my favorites ! Thank you much for the recipe!I just noticed that I picked up the wrong recipe! I was looking for the Butter tarts ,but certainly this will be good too ♥️
Stephanie you’re the best! Everything we make from your channel is top notch! And this did not disappoint AT ALL!! Yayy! When will you teach us how to make Panettone?
Thanks for this recipe and thanks for bringing up the notification issue. Still i have this issue even i press the bell button. But nevertheless, i am waiting for your video each Thursday. Thanks
I’m a gadget person & I do have that wooden piece of what I call a “molder” & you don’t have to roll out the dough, cut with the ring & mold each piece into the tassie pan. Simply form a small ball of pastry, drop in to the tassie pan, press with molder & voila, your crust is ready to be filled.
Oh wow those look incredible Joy. I am definitely going to try these. I know you said that they can be frozen, but how would you store them normally? Just in an airtight container at room temperature? Or do they need to be stored in the fridge? Thanks so much. Lee x
Enjoyed watching your video on making pecan tarts. I noticed your using a stand mixer with a glass bowl I've been looking for one but haven't had any success finding one. May I ask what brand mixer are you using. Thanks
It’s a Kenwood Chef Titanium. It comes with a metal bowl but you can purchase the glass bowl separately. They don’t sell the glass bowl in the US so we ordered it from the UK on Amazon.co.uk
I saw a few items you used linked on the recipe page. Do you have an affiliate page on Amazon or a list of recommended items on your website? (I looked and didn't see one.) Thanks!
Hi love you and your recipes. As I don't eat eggs can you suggest some eggless filling for me? Can I use the apple filling we put in apple pies and bake them open
Hello! I’m NOT a baker. I’ve never baked anything before. I was going to try a friend’s recipe to make these and then I found your channel! My friend’s recipe calls for corn syrup. You didn’t use any corn syrup. Would that make a big difference? Thank you for the help!
👍What could be the serving size you can best suggest ? Because it's so much tempting and specially kids and old age people....so please let me know , thanks a lot
@@joyofbaking thanks 💅for the prompt answer ,I only asked you because it's total calories may go very high, just to understand, because our monkey mind Don't stop to eat if it likes a lot they can eat a lot limit less ...you know what I mean ?
It is definitely a showstopper dessert for the holidays. I’m going to try this recipe and share with my family. I do not have the mini muffin pan. Does it work with the regular size muffin pan? How many tassies could it get from this recipe?

I love how you give the GRAMS right along with the regular measurements! Thank you. Also your "tips" are always good.
I will try the cream cheese pastry for sure. I really appreciate you for always getting all of the ingredients from the bowl, and not wasting it. My kids joke that there’s not much left to wash when I cook/bake 😉🇨🇦
I really like the way you explain your recipes, I'm from Mexico and I don't speak English very well but I can understand to you

Stephanie! Great video and recipe demo. Toast the pecans? I say yes, cause i can. 😲 ........................ 😎👍👍
You could toast them but because they are on top they toast enough.
how did stephanie know i was craving these? 😩 also, the doggie was so cute wanting some pecans as well :')
Delicious thank you for the recipe
I love your videos. I was wondering if a person could use this as a pie dough? thanks bunches
Yes you can do that.
Seems super delicious & excellent preparation..well done👍🏼keep growing & sharing⭐⭐⭐
Love your channel. I will try your recipes.
Simple and easy, thank you.
This looks so delicious. Im definitely giving it a try
Looking forward to trying these! Is this different from the one you did in 2013? That one has been on my list for a while.
It’s the same. We decided to update the video with more detail.
They are great, thanks for this recipe!!
I really enjoyed all your recipes I tried. I have 100% deliciously successful rate.
Thank You for sharing your delicious recipes! I'm curious, what brand of mixer is the one in your videos, and do you recommend it? ❤
I use a Kenwood Titanium Chef 5 quart mixer. I have been using this brand of mixer for a long time and it is the only brand I would buy.
This looks like dessert for Thanksgiving this year.
I am Canadian also and I put both raisins & walnuts why not lol but my hubby loves pecans, will make this Thanks
Yes, I also like them with both raisins and walnuts.
Thanks for this recipe. Can I use pecans and grated coconut together? Love from Nigeria...
That should be fine.
Wow 😍😍😍 This looks so delicious🤤🤤🤤🤤Thank you💖💖💖💖💖
Pecan tassies look delicious 😋

You could store them either way.

Hi Stephanie.
Could this pastry be used in other recipes as well?
Thanks, Greg
Yes you could do that.
Good morning Stephanie! Happy Veterans Day!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Defenitely need to try these😍
A lot like butter tarts. I love pecans!
Hi Stephanie, this would be nice with buttery macadamia nuts.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Hi love you and your recipes. As I don't eat eggs can you suggest some eggless filling for me? Can I use the apple filling we put in apple pies and bake them open
Yes, an apple filling would work or even jam.
@@joyofbaking thank you so much for the quick reply

Corn syrup tends to make the filling more runny.
@@joyofbaking Thanks so much for your help! Greetings from Texas! 🤗
Hi, I Love your channel. Have you ever mixed the pecans and the mix together?
I like the pecans on top so I don’t mix them into the filling. But you could if you like .
👍What could be the serving size you can best suggest ? Because it's so much tempting and specially kids and old age people....so please let me know , thanks a lot
That is a difficult question to answer, as it depends more on how much a person likes the Tassies. If you really like them then you tend to eat more.
