    I personally got this gun because I wanted that extra sense of safety because my one year old is constantly pulling and touching around me and it just makes me feel good knowing there’s 3 ways to stop anything from hurting him. And it actually shoots very well really like this gun

    Just bought mine and I love it. I honestly don't mind the grip safety. I've had it on another s&w. I get along with it well for sport/ range shooting. It fits my hand and my wife's hand well. All around for me, it's already my favorite.

    I bought an Equalizer a month ago. Perfect gun for my age and intended use. I appreciate you demonstration showing the correct method and amount of oil.

    Excellent video, thank you. Love my Equalizer, I'm an old woman and it's the only semi-auto I can rack.
    Now I know how to take care of it. 🙂

    Thanks for the video. I have the Equalizer and have shot many rounds and have not had any problems with the backstrap, as a matter of fact, most of the time i don't even know its there. Very easy to rack, the 3 mags are a plus.

    JEFF! The 9mm Equalizer is my first semi automatic hand gun. Your video was clear and precise, I field stripped, lubed and reassembled her all in one felt swoop thanks to you. I am a 66 year young small framed woman and I love this weapon. Just wanted to send you a big ole thanks?

    I just purchased this. After shooting for 45 years It’s nearly impossible for me to lock the slides back anymore on the ones I’ve had for quite a while. I can lock the slide on this real easy, but I’m having trouble getting the slide off and on for cleaning without touching that grip safety. Still haven’t shot it yet. Hoping it will be easier once I put a couple hundred rounds through it. Thanks for the awesome video!

    I own an Equalizer and I have installed a green laser and light along with my Holosun green dot. I'm not a fan of the back strap but I sure like my thumb safety. I'm an old man at the age of 71. I love Smith & Wesson.

    Thank you so much for breaking this weapon down! I juse brought one of these and I needed to know the field striping and oilingg aspects of this weapon. I did not consider the bast strape safety when I brought it and I am concerned if I grip the gun right when I need it most. But I will get out of the range and learn it via muscle memory. Again, thank you for breaking this down for us.

      I appreciate the kind words!! The back strap safety isn't awful, just not something I'm really used to. It is a great gun though!!!

    I have arthritis and carpal tunnel, I found this is the easiest gun for me to use.
    I appreciate the video, showing me how to clean it, been very helpful.
    I do have a question, what was the last thing you used to wipe off the excess oil? I know you used to microfiber cloth with the white cloth at the end was that a Kleenex?

    • @jeffofalltrades8489
      @jeffofalltrades8489  9 месяцев назад

      It was not, that is a special cloth used for wiping down lenses of microscopes. No scratches left behind or extra lint.
      Any towel can be used though. It doesn't have to be anything special

    Great video. Very informative. I also have a Equalizer and do pretty much the same as you with the cleaning and oiling. I also agree with you that I don't like the back strap safety either. I keep searching RUclips to see if someone has posted a video on how to completely strip the slide and the frame just to see if there is any way to remove or disengage the back strap safety. So far, no luck with that.

    • @jeffofalltrades8489
      @jeffofalltrades8489  6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately I doubt you'll find that ... since it's a safety thing, RUclips would take that down in SECONDS...it's the world we live in now...

    Most all Smith and Wesson handguns I know you have to use a tool, There’s a little piece of metal on the inside once you pull the magazine back, push that lever down and forward, and you do not have to pull the trigger to remove the slide

    Wouldn’t the hoops 9 enough for everything? Why do you need the other oil for?

    • @jeffofalltrades8489
      @jeffofalltrades8489  6 месяцев назад +2

      The oil is just a thicker application. If you shoot every day, or the gun doesn't sit around, the spray is fine. I like to use the oil for better protection. When it comes to cleaning your guns, it mainly is personal preference just keep them wet!

    I know this video is several months old, But hopefully someone can answer. After disassembled would it hurt anything to spray I with Auto Brake Cleaner ?

    • @jeffofalltrades8489
      @jeffofalltrades8489  3 месяца назад +3

      I don't know why you would...I never tried that and not sure how the plastics would be effected by that. Brake cleaner is pretty abrasive.
