Dude, this was so satisfying. The drumming, Phil's vocals, the guitar solo, just everything about this song was perfect. The new album is gonna be worth waiting for. I'm really loving the new material they have put out so far.

This just transported me back to the early 2000's! Just turned 32yo in February 2024, I don't think people realize how great of an era the 2000's was for music (both metal and pop/rap). When I go back and listen to the music I grew up with, I realize that this era of music has a lot of staying power just like previous era's did. I think metal still looks very promising because bands are evolving and pushing the genre forward, wish I could say the same for the drivel that passes for pop music these days lol (guess people will listen to anything lol). It's just interesting to look back and reflect sometimes now that I'm getting a little older, it makes me appreciate the Millennial era of music more. This music is timeless imo.
I think there is some interesting pop out there but it certainly isn't the most mainstream stuff - Charli XCX and some others are interesting, tho I much prefer metal and the new stuff we are getting now. But melodic death metal, and the metalcore it influenced like ATR, will always have a special place in my heart and now with Richardson, damn. Amazing musicians and unbelievably catchy/good songwriting. I am also turning 32 this year by the way lmao

Early Parkway, Killswitch, ATR, All Shall Perish, After the Burial, etc. had a large impact on today’s music. It’s silly to ask that their sound never changes; which helps create strong value to the original material. I’m thankful that it’s all at the reach of my finger tips though. If I want that nostalgia, I can listen. It doesn’t pull away from the excitement of seeing what they are creating for us 20+ years later.
I'm a Metalhead from 1986/87. Born in '73, I turned 50 last Fall, and I still listen to nothing but my Metal collection. And I still buy CDs. Will not ever go Digital only. Those are about as safe as Streaming platforms. But you're right. When I grew up on 80s Metal thru my Junior High and High School days, I got severely depressed about the music industry as TPTB suddenly decided one day in either 1992 or 93 that 80s-inspired Metal (take your pick of genre) was no longer cool. Because that's when Grunge, Alt Rock, Industrial Metal, and Death Metal really took off. I tried getting into all of those, but man, they just weren't as fun as the 80s stuff. Fortunately by the early 2000s, Metal really started getting a comeback with Power Metal, Thrash Metal, Progressive Metal, Symphonic Metal, and many others. When Amazon started selling other things besides books I found most of the bands that I collect now from the 2000s+ era in the genre. I'm more onto the genres I just listed, but there's a few Metalcore bands that I enjoy. I discovered Trivium about 20 years ago already. The problem I have with Metalcore is that a lot of their riffs are just bass riffs. And let's be honest, there's not a whole lot you can do with bass in that regard. Sure, there's exceptions if you have a really talented bass player that can play the instrument like a guitar. But you know what I mean.

I’ve said this for years, every band he touches elevates, but he needs an identity to improve on. His solo music is kind of boring *to me* at this point, which sucks because I otherwise love what he does.
Haven't bought an album in a while. This one will be purchased immediately. This band has always been incredible, and Jason was exactly what was needed after Oli passed. Really hope he's found a permanent home in All That Remains 🤘

Jason has such a signature sound that you can hear a mile away, but just goes to show that he’s doing the absolute best job for ATR, as you basically wouldn’t know Jason was there in this song, sonically.
