They made sure I knew. It was pitch black as my black bomber jacket was pulled over my suspended body in cuffs and curled body like a letter C on its rocker side 👎
I love the versatility of All That Remains. Whether I'm in the mood for just all out metal and screams or something more melodic I can always fall back on them to give me a song to suit my mood. Got to see them at the Impact Music Festival. Hope to see them again as they didn't disappoint!
This is a masterpiece of a composition of metal and melodious architecture. This is the first song in a long time that has found the confidence to stand strong on its own foundation.

What a lot of disgruntled fans don't get is that musicians don't write music for their fans they write it for themselves. It's poetry, feelings and emotions put to song. If you don't like it guess what? They really don't care.

To speak on a subject I can't be certain of, I would say I believe Chester Bennington for example was bothered by the reactions of fans to his music in his later years. I think it is different for everyone, in terms of how you look at it. As a teenager, I remember trashing some of Linkin Park's newer music online. It wasn't what ***I*** wanted, so being the teenage product of Capitalism gone awry I was, I felt justified in going on more than one sanctified rant about what a sellout Chester Bennington and Linkin Park had become. It is unlikely Chester ever saw any of the comments I wrote directly (it is always remotely possible, at least. It's a small world.) I wonder if at the very least my ill-conceived criticisms contributed in some way to an atmosphere that ultimately lead to Chester's death. All That Remains is amazing. Some of their earlier music is a little too intense for me most of the time. I believe their first album is entitled "The Fall of Ideals". It is a little too heavy-metal for me for the most part ("Not Alone" being the absolute gem of the album in my opinion). I personally appreciate the way they have evolved as a band as they have gone a bit more "mainstream". The point being this: None of these bands have anything to be ashamed of. Anybody who wants to complain? I have a question for you: What did human beings do for music 1000 years ago? Play the harp? That's what I thought. If you don't like what one artist is doing, guess what there is literally more music than you could ever possibly listen to waiting for you to find it. In all of human history, we are part of a select few who can listen to music on demand. We should be grateful.

People are saying they dislike this song because it's not as heavy, but I have to be honest guys, it's got incredible sounding guitar action and you're allowed to dislike it but they haven't gotten worse, they have just changed in style. His singing is still wonderful even if it's softer.
Cannot believe this band got me through middle school and high school. It went until my 8th year in the Navy that I finally got a chance to see them at Blue Ridge Festival in Virginia (2018). Three weeks later we lost Oli....just lucky and blessed I got to see one of the bands and guitar players that made such a huge impact in my life. Thanks ATR and Oli RIP!!!
This is a good song the true test of a band is to branch out but still stay true to their musical roots. I am a metal head but bands and their growth is what keeps the music from getting stale and all sounding the same. I love the catchy drum beat that this song has.

I don't know why people get mad when a metalcore band like ATR changes their style. Just because there is no screaming doesn't mean it's good. This is a good change for them, it will appeal to more people and will help their fanbase grow.
I really appreciate that they have a female artist who's not oversexed or advertised as an item. Those little haunting harmonies here and there do it for me!
+Christopher Thomas Jeanne has left the band, last year if my memory is correct. She did so to pursue personal interests. It is why for the video of "Victory Lap" you do not see here. I agree on the harmonies. To me I look at them as the points where the stories match in that situation. As there are always three sides to every story.

I got to meet the lead guitarist Oli Herbert a week ago. He literally stood next to me for the majority of the Judas Priest show at Rock Fest in Cadott WI.
I used to reject this album. However after listening to this several times I realized I was singing all songs along. You know great album full of great melodies

I saw them live not too long ago and Phil even said, while on stage mind you, that they, as a group, throw shit up on the wall and play what ever sticks. So, if that doesn't tell you as a fan what their true intentions are as a group then I'm not sure what will. Whether they were hard then or soft now, they play whatever they freaking want people. Bands can change their music over time just as much as you can change your freaking underwear or socks.
This song has always been a fav of mine but now it has new meaning to me after a traumatic experience. There is always right now and time to fix things. As long as I hold on and don't let it break me. I need to wake up to the reality that is this nightmare I call life.

I don't know why people get mad when a metalcore band like ATR changes their style. Just because there is no screaming doesn't mean it's good. This is a good change for them, it will appeal to more people and will help their fanbase grow.

I agree on the harmonies. To me I look at them as the points where the stories match in that situation. As there are always three sides to every story.

its ok to not like it, what i dont think its ok, is the fact of going to every all that remain video posting the same comment of how they sell out and the album sucks like some people i have seen around atr videos, i didnt like it, and i´ve been a atr fan since 2005 , but that´s it, i comment about it with a friend but that was all, i dont get why people have to make a complete drama about how they are dissapointed , i am to, i didn´t expect something like this, but well, i can still listen their past stuff, or just listen to another band, that doesn´t make me a bad fan either , you have all the right to be mad, but why hatinf at that magnitude, just get over it, go listen to other band.

I got to meet the lead guitarist Oli Herbert a week ago. He literally stood next to me for the majority of the Judas Priest show at Rock Fest in Cadott WI.

I saw them live not too long ago and Phil even said, while on stage mind you, that they, as a group, throw shit up on the wall and play what ever sticks. So, if that doesn't tell you as a fan what their true intentions are as a group then I'm not sure what will. Whether they were hard then or soft now, they play whatever they freaking want people. Bands can change their music over time just as much as you can change your freaking underwear or socks.
