Just want to say thank you, for inspiring me to start playing wild! I hit legend for the first time last night in wild. I used a less popular secret mage variant. I was stuck at diamond 5 for a while, just started ranking up this month after watching your jade quest shaman video and crafting that deck. Then after going up and down for a few days I took it more seriously. Learning the matchups, evaluating card choices, carefully considering each play. I started outsmarting people and it felt great. People say hitting legend is easy, but every win for me was hard fought. I ended up with a 62% winrate, something like ~39 wins and 18 losses. Same deck from diamond 5 to legend. I'm just happy that my effort was rewarded! Anyway, didn't mean for this to turn into a speech... I just never would've made it without you, Roffle! Thanks :)

Speaking of cards that discount stuff to 0, Legends of Runeterra has some of those, more specifically Sea Monsters can be discounted by up to 7 for just existing (for context, the most expensive sea monster only costs 8), 3 of which is permanent, and they also happen to include a card that has a baseline of being a 4 mana 7/7, although generally not on turn 4 because you have to become Deep by getting rid of half your deck before it is a 7/7, instead of any actual downside on the card, which is still a 4 cost 4/4 before you become Deep.
Not even the scariest thing the deck can produce, as it can also sometimes create a card that gives you 5 (completly random) free cards this turn for only 5 mana and which also draws itself if you mill it (although not if your opponent mills it or draws it from your deck, or if milled due to a full hand)

Awesome content man! I'm a new subscriber. Isn't the grand archivist too much of a chance in this deck? On the Free from Amber you don't get to select the minion and on the mind control with a board, you could get something god awful. I'm sure I'm missing the point of it since I'm noob lol

Maybe he tried to do the odd deck, but he had Even cards in the deck, at least 1

@@lnr7197 I thought that as well, the 4 mana drak isn't that good to include, but who knows. There are important even cards in DH like Kayn and Skull, perhaps he just didnt't draw them
