Thank you for sharing this for the community. I service all my cars. Never owned a BMW but planning to buy an X7 in the near future and you are giving me more confidence that I can maintain it myself. Thank you!
Followed your directions. Replaced the rear pads and sensor. Did not have the scan tool so I did it manually. Now I have a parking brake warning that will not go away and there is the word PARK on my dash continuously. Can you tell me how to reset the parking brake? I am not sure if I can drive the car without damaging it. I drove it down the street slowly and didn’t feel as though the parking brake was engaged. Thanks.
Your video is the best one out there. Very informative and clear. Thanks for sharing. I decided to purchase d70 lite because of it. Question for you. Do we need to open brake fluid reservoir cap when pushing in pistons? 8:52
Great video - thanks! Just curious how you got into Activate Repair Shop mode from the main menu of the scan tool you use? I have the same. Thank you again!
Great video, just what I needed ! I think I have the exact same car as yours ;-) Did you ever do a fuel filter swap on the X7? At 65k kilometers I would like to do mine but not sure if it can be done on the driveway. Thank you for the videos sofar, they have been a lifesaver !
Thanks, man! I have done both on my 335xi, I will be looking into X7 transfer case issues/maintenance soon-ish and if I decide to do anything, I'll post a video.
There are videos on winding back the electronic brake manually. You have to open it up on the backside of the caliper and wind it clockwise with a torx. I assume that mean no scanners are necessary to do the brakes.

Your videos are great man I love them, have you ever done a differential or a transfer case fluid change?
Thanks, man!

Its good practice to grease the guide pins or you risk the caliper seizing.
I see you programmed your 40i dash to read as a Alpina...👌
Do I need to disable workshop mode first and then hit the brake pedal or hit the pedal few times first and then disable the worshop mode? thank you
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!
Can you make a video about changed Front brake pad for BMW X7 🙏
I will! As soon as the brakes need to be replaced :)
Thanks 🙏
How do you put vehicle in maintenance mode without device so can compress caliper
You can't. You'll need something to wind it back or you will risk breaking the caliper.
