I've bought the same kit Just getting around to getting it installed and surprisingly it does not lineup When I put the front and the back of the tube in place where it's supposed to go The 2 tubes that Weld to the side are 1" shorter I cannot see that my Frame Is bent 1" I'd love to know what the measurements of those Tubes are To compare with mine
Can you tell us the opening width of the frame. Your frame is 100 straighter than the two I have. I just going to brake bend the bottom edge to make this kit similar to Speedtech. I liked this over Speedtech since no beating in floorboard on pre 1968
@@ryanaustin1970 I saw a boxed 442 frame for sale once so I suppose it was a 442 Convertible. My 65 Cutlass (videos uploaded) obviously has a boxed frame.
Hellwig Frame FX is 1968 -1972 A body is a very nice frame boxing kit and looks very similar to the el camino style frame
Art Morrison makes an awesome frame.

What size tires are on the back? Are the wheel wells modified?
I've seen several SS chevelles , none of which had the convertible frame. The HD frame option was available but not standard on these cars.
I’ve never seen a real ss chevelle That didn’t come with a factory boxed frame. 🤷🏻♂️
@@mrbritoweldingandautomotiv254 i just commented... I have a real ss and doesn't have a boxed frame
I've had 5, no boxed frames factory on any of them... All 67 & 68 true 138 cars.
