So happy I came across your videos man. I'm building a 69 elcamino kinda the same but a little different. Nice work. What chemicals did u use on the frame?
jesse rodriquez Thanks and good luck with your project. I’ve used a couple different products for different areas. For the frame I wire wheeled it and used Permatex 81773. Brush or spray it on and let it fully cure then paint like 3-4 coats on top. If you want really smooth, prime, sand then paint. Don’t sand through the Permatex product though. For the underside sheet metal I used Duplicolor RustBarrier after lots of wire wheeling. It’s way thicker and seemed more appropriate for underside in that it’s thick like a rubberized product. I’ve also tried Eastwood Rust Encapsulator and it seems to bite in well like the Duplicolor product but Eastwood was slightly more shiny. On the first Chevelle I did in 2017-18, I used the same combo and it’s holding up well.
Niiiiiiice 👍🏼
Thank you!
