I just did this with my 68 Lemans! Tip make the 4×6's longer than the width of the tires then you can put the body on stands and roll the frame straight out the back. Without having to play musical jacks! Haha! Then lower the body if needed
The funny part is neither of my boys are that interested in cars. They help, but only when requested. My nephew James (shows up in a lot of the videos) really likes to help, good with the tools and fast learner. Unfortunantly he is a busy guy and difficult to find a weekend day when he is free
Prime Garage GM A-Body LS Swap well you know what your kids are lucky to have you and your nephew. And I will keep watching your Channel because I love cars and I love watching the work being put in.
Thanks, and thanks for watching. I am bit behind on videos. Spoiler alert... last weekend James and I put the motor and trans in along with adding a Hyd. clutch clutch set up. I hope to post in the next wk or so.
Man, I wish I had room for this in my garage. I mean, I would if it wasn't for the dozen plastic Christmas trees and creepy figurines im not allowed to throw out for some reason. I've got some body and frame work to do, but I think I'll just grab some blocks and see how much of a "lift" I can fit in
Next Time Try Jack Stands and Two Floor Jack's same Method with the wood but with Jack Stands you can look the from Straight out instead of side ways. Double up on your wood to increase Height.
Thanks! Keep watching, more should be coming in Nov. The plan is to get the frame back under the body this month so I can get back to working on what started this project, the LS motor.
You could of just removed all the tires let the frame lay on mover dollys the frame would of cleared the body roll it straight back would of saved all that work that’s how I did my 61 impala

That's one lucky kid to have a dad that know how to work on cars and show him the way.

Superb video! This is how I will take my 72 cutlass supreme convertible off its frame! Thanks for the info!!!!!!!
Thanks, it worked well, but heed my advice and remove the gas tank and exhaust first, it will make it easier.
What color was the car? Very cool.

🙌👏👏👏👏. frame mounts. easy fixes. make it a judge clone
no way, I like it as a lemans. More of a sleeper that way!
Kid, was thinking why didn't.. We have wider 4×6 .. So we could of rolled the frame straight out..
Didn't think I could get the body safely high enough with floor jacks for the frame to clear
Great video!
You guys Nail it down:>
Did not show what bolts to take off 1st

Cool dad lol.
Wreck another nice care with the stupid LS swap. Keep the Pontiac engine in the car
If it was a GTO I would stay true, but it is not. I tore it apart years ago so no turning back
@@primegaragegma-bodylsswap2089 should put a Ford engine in it then maybe? Or a Packard 6 cylinder?
Can this work for a 1986 caprice the restro lil metal sheet u got
no idea. I suggest you call OPG to see if the center hole is the correct size.
