You know I been listening to Billy for a few years this cat knows no bounds and that is so great for us I’m not surprised by this dude anymore he just that good
Billy Strings knows no bounds. And he rips all the classic rock songs. He’ll be remembered with Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Earl Scruggs, Bob Dylan, Derek Trucks, Clarence White, Jack Pearson, Vince Gill, Doc Watson, and all the other top music legends. He might even have 50-60 years left to play, if the guitar keeps him young like it did for Willie Nelson. Remarkable. 🇺🇸
He blows my mind over & over & I love it always dug Bluegrass & he is off the chart's great talent now the rock stuff just another layer of what I hope is a decade's long career!~rock on Billy!
Always get the two night passes if he is doing two nights. I always think the band plays better on Friday nights for some reason, and they usually dig into some deeper cuts. Saturday night is all the songs you know lol.
My parents took me to see Zeppelin in 1973 in Chicago, I was 12 and may I say my parents were very cool. Remember Cheap Trick singing, "Mom and Dad had my Kiss records out" They really did!
What the hell is going on here? Royal on an electric, Lindsay Lou is church choir girl, Billy has a double neck electric, and not only are they playing with a drummer but its fucking Duane Trucks. How did you stumble upon this magic?
@@yendorcire damn, you're right. Why does RUclips even have a comment section when I could have just done that. I sincerely apologize for having upset you.
Right now this song has 33k likes, I’m happy to take credit for about 50 of them. Arguably one of the best covers, of one of the best jams ever. Tip of the ol’newsy cap to you sir
Hard to tell on vocal quality from a cell phone but I would be willing to wager that it sounded outstanding in person. He may not be Robert Plant, but no one is except Robert Plant (honorable mention for a couple of other frontmen that could carry this one). almost as well)
This is a fantastic cover. And Led Zeppelin covered it nicely too. However, when googling the song it is attributed to Zeppelin. They ripped it off from Memphis Minnie without giving her credit. You see she was alive during the great flood to which this song refers. Literally there were cattle on people's houses because the water was that high. And because it was a almost exclusively black area, nobody cared. And Led Zeppelin didn't seem to care either that they lifted it from her without giving her credit. I'm pretty certain Billy strings does know this and does appreciate it because he does appreciate American music.
Singer Robert Plant used many of the original lyrics and the songwriting is credited to Memphis Minnie and the individual members of Led Zeppelin.[1] Many other artists have performed and recorded versions of the song.
Jeebus hopping Christ on a pogo stick! Somebody actually deserving of that guitar played it! That's wonderful. I'm sure that the other 49 owners weren't undeserving. Haha! $25,000 , right? This guy can give justice to every pennies' worth, whether it was given to him or not.
Another amazing Halloween show by Billy and the entire group of musicians!!! May I suggest those that don't know of Nugs,,, get a subscription and watch Billy all the time!!
No, Billy is already way beyond Mr. Garcia, and he is not a pitiful drug addict. People need to stop glorifying the wasted life of Jerry and recognize the awesome talent that has nothing in common with his sad mediocre musical abilities.

Billy Strings is a superstar, whether the world knows yet or not. So good. This made my day. Really.
And, whoever he plays with ... they're all stars, too ... every one of them.
Nice to see an audience jammin' to the music without viewing it through their cellphones.
Surprisingly didn't see cellphones out much both nights
I went last night. Everyone was standing the entire time and I rarely saw phones out. Billy and crew are too damn mezmerizing.
Waaaa
had to take a few videos for the few that didn't make the show ~~~~Enjoy.
Except us viewing it through this one lol
His vocals have come so far. Never stop getting better!

Not to forget Jimmy Page, given the song. :)
agree
He'll be remembered in that vein by those who pay attention. But he'll never be on the radio, for better or worse.
@ He’s cutting albums with Béla Fleck, Willie Nelson, and Ringo Starr. Don’t be so sure of that.

Billy Strings is absolutely amazing. I've seen him twice, and both times, I've regretted not buying tickets for the second night.
80 shows deep it only gets better

I'm going to him BOK center Tuesday.... I am fn pumped. Haven't been to a concert since skynyrd in 93 ... I can't wait!
I was there. It was an amazing show!!!

thank you for posting this!
When classic songs are done “right”…
No, I disagree.. He needs to stay in his blue grass tunes, where he excels.. leave the classics to the classic artists, the vocals are horrible

Jerry!
The girl wailing like a drunken cat in heat when she's trying to harmonize could have been a bit better but the rest of it was pretty phenomenal.

Nothing's Working
"Absolutely nothing
Nothing for to show
She’s feeling helpless
like there’s nowhere left to go
Things she set out to do
She made sure were done
She’s feeling dismal
But she’s not the only one
Take time to listen to the quiet ones
Watch how the pain lives
underneath the skin
Forgotten words and lost
love won’t make the grade
On a lonesome journey
Tryin’ to stay high
Put another coin in and
stop to wave goodbye
Praying to the hologram
High up in the sky
Is it for justice or is it just for the crime
Take time to listen to the quiet ones
Watch how the pain lives
underneath the skin
Forgotten words and lost
love won’t make the grade
Killers on the TV
Writing on the wall
How could such a kind heart
take such a heavy fall
Absolutely nothing
Nothing for to show
Heart and guts against the wind
and nowhere left to go
Take time to listen to the lonely ones
Watch how the rain gives
up a chance to swim
Burn the broken bridges and
we’ll build them up again"
