Morgan James doing Dream On with PMJ is an absolute must. Her version gives a clear meaning to the lyrics.
absolutely!
I was impressed by Morgan James's Maroon 5 Maps cover. Much better than the original too. And very different.
Morgan is DA BOMB!!
Scott Bradlee is a musical genius!!
Anything with Haley Reinhart in it and you got me. I just love her performances.
bingo... haley reinhart is one of the best vocalist and performers of our time and easily the most underrated
Haley then Morgan then Ariana. You've seen Haley's Creep which is fabulous but you really, REALLY need to see Morgan doing Dream On. Morgan trained at Juliard for opera, went to Broadway and graduated to jazz. She is amazing. Casey Abrams was on American Idol with Haley and they became good friends and collaborators. Haley and PMJ doing Seven Nation Army and Don't Speak are must see. PMJ is a deep, deep rabbit hole.
I voted for both on American Idol.
yeah, Haley and James Durbin, in my opinion were better than the final 2. It was obvious that J-Lo and Randy were against Haley, and she wasn't having it. Then Steven Tyler came out and told her forget everything Randy and J-Lo said because they were wrong and the crowd backed that up. Steven later said that was one of the reasons he quit , because they were playing favorites and he wasn't going to play that game
@@allenwhitmer8192 JLo was downright nasty to Haley.
@@sheilaholmes8455 yes she was, ive always remembered that. Haley handled it very well, I thought. Haven't cared for J-Lo since
I’ve seen it, Morgan doing Dream On, and NO OFFENCE, I didn’t like it😗
Whenever I listen to Post Modern Jukebox my skin gets chills.
Put on a sweater! And some ear plugs. The screeching is terrible.

A trivia about Ariana Savalas:she's the daughter of Telly Savalas(Kojak). The whole group does amazing work!!
Who love's ya. baby!!
@@glennelfmann3143Ya better have a lollipop in your mouth when you say that 😊
His little Lollipop.
Had to be Telly's offspring. You just know he would produce someone!
Did not know she was the daughter .of such an amazing actor .
It's not often that you will find a cover that's actually better than the original, but PMJ really nailed this one
Man I just love Haley. From American idol till present day she is just so talented. I can’t believe she is not a superstar. ❤❤❤❤
Haley Reinhart's version of Seven Nation Army is like a soft-core video of perfection of voice, dress and movement to me.
I love the Old Town Road one
PMJ "Dream on" "No Doubt" jeeeeezzz
Every time I see post modern I appreciate their music and style.....
PMJ always kills it. I've watched tons of videos from that project but I hadn't seen this one but I love how they take it total New Orleans. Perfect. And I love the fact that the bass player dude kicks It off, lol.
Nobody seems to notice poor Chip waving in the background 11:05 the story of his life with PMJ 😅
Everyone at PMJ is beyond talented(singers, musicians, tap dancers, etc.), but often times their takes on certain songs can be very hit or miss for me, that being said, this is one of the HITS for sure.
Meghan's version is for the girls who need self respect and I loved it. This version is for the musicians! They all had a blast with the New Orlean's vibe and the love of the bass fiddle! Loved it.
This is a great video. The song is so nice from this group. The flavor is very 1940's. The three women singing give off the vibes of listening to the The Andrew's Sisters. Jazzy, swing, & soulful sounds. ❤❤❤
Pmj featuring Morgan James (the blonde in this video) any are good, but Dream on is amazing!
PMJ is much fun 👍👍👍👍
The best version by far...😊
Postmodern Jukebox is the bomb
I have seen them twice in concert. The last one was back in March and I took my granddaughter, who is 17. Loved introducing her to this amazing group.
Indeed! I was lucky enough to see them earlier this month in the UK as part of their 10th Anniversary Tour, one of the singers was Ashley Campbell - daughter of the great Glen Campbell! 🥰
A fun reaction. It is amazing how the presentation can impact the meaning of a song. PMJ have impressed me with what they are able to do by changing up the sound of the song.
I would suggest 7 Nation Army to see Haley doing a '30s New leans twist that brings in stylings of Ella Fitzgerald, Billlie Holliday and...Jessica Rabbit (of course) . It has the best look at her scat ability. There's plenty of great PMJ though
At the end when all of the ladies come together they're reminescent of the Andrew Sisters. 🙏🏻🇺🇸👍🏽
Morgan James, blonde on the right, doing Maps. What a power house of a voice!
Great reaction, Sam and Phil! I'm so glad you circled back to PMJ. Thank you, Mark, for the request!
I've seen both Haley and Morgan live, and each of them are fantastic singers. Morgan and PMJ's cover of Aerosmith's Dream On really shows her powerhouse vocals.
And yes, definitely better than the orinal.
Can't wait to see Morgan live next month !!!
Sam/Phil, check out this Jawdropping performance by Morgan doing an Aretha Franklin song:
ruclips.net/video/UOAq4OU96q8/видео.html .
Can't wait to see Morgan James in concert next month!!!
@@surlechapeau I just got an email last week announcing she will be appearing close to me. I'm planning to go see her again.
"The Blonde" is Morgan James. She has a "rabbit hole" of her own. You must hear her version of "Dream On" with PMJ.
OMG. I love that song and this rendition. When Hailey Reinharrt belts out her piece!!!
Morgan James está como un cañón!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤😅😅🤩🤩
I've seen both Haley Reinhart and Morgan James in concert (independent of PMJ) and they have two of the absolute best voices on the planet. Well worth bringing them on the channel as solo artists.
Yes - watch the blonde. Morgan James, do Dream On with PMJ - I think she is the best female singer around right now
My fav from these awesome artists. Classy and smooth as silk.
great reaction guys.... this was the first postmodern jukebox i saw and still one of my favorites. it does excellent job of representing the overall experience of what pmj does so well. not just the excellent vocalist, musicians and arrangement but meticulous implementation of "vintage" character though their outfits, expressions, movements and setting that virtually transfers you back in time. its also great how each of the women are unique in vocal attributes and styles yet can then also harmonize so well together... in addition, the dual bass play was very creative touch and notice how it ends with the bass getting the last word.... well, because its "all about the bass". 😎
Look up all of PMJ w/ Haley Reinhart. It's amazing.
Original version: I'm a little big and if you don't like it eff off.
This version: I'm a little big and I know you like it.
I love the old Rag Time music. This was great. Thanx😎👍👍
I remember when this first came out. I watched it over and over. BTW, credits refer to sax but I'm pretty sure that is the clarinet player. And he was great. That's my instrument of choice although I played other instruments.
This is just magnificent.!!!
Thanks for reentering it into my brain. Your comments were spot on!!
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Great reaction to a great rendition. I especially like 11:23 when it sounds like Phil says "Postmodern Juice Box". (Just teasing, but it does!)
Yes, listen to Morgan James singing "Dream On" with the group.
Wow, thanks guys, I have never heard of pmj until you guys showed me,(now guess which rabbit hole I will be going down later on)!
You need to do PMJ cover of white stripes 7 Nation Army and listen to both the original first followed by Post Modern Jukebox!!! It will blow you away!!!
Stellar composition, choreography and performance from both bands!! And completely unique unto themselves!!
I loved the new Orleans jazz vibe on this!
Them doing Bad Romance is pretty cool also. Have you guys ever seen Puddles Pity Party, if not then you would have some fun with him. Especially the two big mashups.
Home Free, All About That Bass 😅🔥
Ariana Savalas is the daughter of original Kojak from the 70's TV series, Telly Savalas.
You gotta hear them do No Doubt's song Dont Speak!! fantastic
I agree, this blows the original away.
12:11
Hey Phil and Sam,
Some other PMJ covers that you should definitely check out are Black Hole Sun and
Seven Nation Army
Fun fact: Hailey Reinhart was the voice of young Bill on the Netflix series, F is for Family.
I suggest checking out a couple of Morgan James' Post Modern Jukebox songs. Dream on, is a great cover of the Aerosmith classic, and Maps, a cover of a Maroon 5 song that will give you chills
You need to listen to the blonde (Morgan James) do "Dream On", she will blow your socks off!
Ariana Savalas is Telly Savalas' daughter. My favorite song she does for PMJ is "No Diggity" It is one of the best PMJ covers and really needs to be seen.
Probably time to get down the "Morgan James" rabbit hole 🕳
Perhaps one of the most complete and pure, powerful and talented female vocalists working today
Agree - and you should hear her sing with a full symphony orchestra - completely and totally mind-blowing!!
Scott Bradley is a musical genius. I have only seen a very few PMJ covers that weren't as good as the original. I saw this probably a couple of years ago and I agree that one blows to original one away.
Scott Bradlee in a genius way rotates musicians in his PMJ from a pool of extremely good performers that yet are called "musical outcasts" - by themselves inn the first place.
It's his version of the Got Talent and Voice world, with cloudy interweb revenue, where performers are commodities that never become world famous and consequently never get expensive and consequently never get rich. At least he understands musical qualities a lot better than some Simon ever can, while taking loads of tangenti in order to finance the new rich celebrity lifestyle off of that business model.
saw this vid a long time ago . liked it so much i recently thought about it , but couldn't remember how to find it , imagine my surprise when i saw ya'll checkin it out, hope you like it as much as i do , old song , nice remake {with attitude}...
Post modern jukebox isn't everyone's cup of tea
But it's a lot of folk's coffee! 🤣
HALEY AND CASEY 👍😊🤘🤘🤘
The next PMJ you should do is Maps. Morgan James the woman in the right KILLS it.
I was DEAD when she hit the later insane Notes!!!
I love postmodern jukebox. I also enjoyed Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams when they were on American Idol.
The guy who opened the song, Casey Abram’s and the first female singer, Haley Reinhart are both alumni of American Idol
That’s where I’ve seen them and followed them ever since. I think Haley’s best performances have been with PMJ. She does everything great though and I believe she is one of the best female singers of all time. The amazing things she can do with her voice.
Long time coming, the return to PMJ, i hope you'll continue on this journey with them. I'd suggest one of my favorite covers "Maps" for next enjoyment.
Haley Reinhart is an amazing vocalist! I can't find any good quality performances (maybe someone else can point you in that direction) except for those on American Idol. All of which were outstanding!
in addition to AI stuff on youtube , good quality ones include her black and white live version of "i put a spell a spell on you", chess records recordings with her dad, "my baby just cares for you" with jeff goldblum, "wild horses w/ slash & kennedy, "don't know how to love you" impossible project documentary, "the letter" video, the "free" video, "can't help falling in love with you" extra ronkoske video and of course, all 9 of her postmodern jukebox video... enjoy! 😎
Now this is what talent really looks like....Another pop song completely transformed for the better is..Postmodern Jukebox cover of "Happier" by Olivia Rodrigo ft. Allison Young.
PMJ Haley Reinhart Creep cover is FIRE
A reaction I agree with!! Better than the og!👍👌💯
Haley Reinhart singing "Don't Speak", "Seven Nation Army", and "Mad World" are great follow-ups. And Morgan James is a powerhouse as well...her performance of "Dream On" and "Gethsemane" are great next steps into highly enjoyable journey that this Juliard trained professional's performances provide.
next try Home Free's version, it's hilarious!
I love this group! My favorite is when they did "Thriller" with Wayne Brady
Has a jazzy, nightclub feel. I prefer the original but I usually do.
Lee Michaels "do you know what I mean" would be a great next listen. Have a great weekend!
Great choice and a favorite at their live performances. No bad choices, but since you enjoy some Paul Simon, PMJ covered Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" with a New Orleans "Second Line" Style Cover (their description). Myself, one of my favorites would be "Bad Romance-- Vintage 1920's Gatsby Style Lady Gaga Cover featuring Ariana Savalas & Sarah Reich" Love watching how much fun Sarah has tap dancing.
You need to check out Seven Nation Army by Haley
Something about PMJ. They are classic. They bring back times many decades ago when things were civil. I feel like I should wear a white sports jacket and a black bow tie. Naturally, I would be offering a drink to my friends watching along.😉🍺🍸
I up-vote both "Dream On" with Morgan James and "Creep" with Haley Reinhart, if you haven't done them yet, both PMJ performances.
This video was the gateway drug to Post Modern Jukebox, Haley Reinhart, and Morgan James for me. Haley w/ PMJ on Creep and Seven Nation Army are outstanding. Morgan w/PMJ on Dream On, Take Me to Church, and Sweet Child 'o Mine are just as good, if not better than, the originals. Haley and Morgan do a duet of Dear Prudence (with just Morgan's husband Doug on guitar) that's definitely better than The Beatles' version.
You should try postmodern jukebox Bawitdaba, really, really great cover. I love what PMJ did with it.
Ariana Savalas . . . . . "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga
Morgan James . . . . . "Dream On" by Aerosmith
Halye Reinhart . . . . . "Don't Speak" by No Doubt
Some great suggestions here; I'll add my personal PMJ favorites: Green Day's "Blvd of Broken Dreams" with Maiya Sykes, Billy Idol's "Dancing with Myself" with the Chloe Feoranzo, an Andrew Sister's version of Spice Girl's "Wannabe", and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" with Wayne Brady (stay for the Zombies!).
Haley was an American Idol finalist.
Morgan James is an accomplished singer. Haley Rinehart is more of a newcomer who sings both rock and jazz. Ariana Savalas is the daughter of Telly Savalas. Telly Savalas gained big fame in the 1970's playing a NYC detective as Kojak.
If you want to see them stretch their genre try their version of Pinky and the Brain. I love it!
Love Post Modern Jukebox! You should check out their rendition and video for Africa (originally by Toto).
Kids! You "must" treat everyone to PMJ's stuff! Hailey's, "Don't Speak" / James's, "Take me To Church" / Puddle's "Royals" & "Chandelier". Just keep going PMJ! Oh! Their first, (One take), Journey's, "Don't Stop Believing"! Great, great great!
I totally like this version much better than the original version by Megan Traynor
Check out a fun "Home Free" version
The last lady to the mic is Ariana Savalas, singer, songwriter, and burlesque performer and Telly Savalas' daughter.
You might want to check out “The Speakeasy Three” doing “When I Get Low I Get High “. Great song and video.
Lucy Thomas "Memory"
PMJ Say something is great!
Hayley and Morgan do an incredible cover of The Beatles “Dear Prudence” with Morgan’s husband playing an acoustic guitar in their living room. Highly recommend you check it out, their harmonies are just heavenly!
Haley Reinhart's rendition of The White Stripes' "7 Nation Army" is amazing. I suggest reviewing the original first, then compare it to PMJ/Haley''s version. Both are definite bangers....
Order of female singers: Haley Reinhardt (who sang Creep), Morgan James, Ariana Savalas (daughter of Telly).
Take a look at PMJ's catalog, and you'll 💯 come up with your own song suggestions, LoL
A 1930s type Jazz version of "Gangstas Paradise"and an inspiring, upbeat cover of "The Heart Will Go On", done in a 50s Doo Wop style, are a couple of my favorites.
I enjoyed your reaction! Thanks!
Few reactors seem to catch the New York, New York (Sinatra) snippet in the song. I do like this one much more than the original, its not just the video.
Besides the "New York, New York" riff, it's quickly followed by a "Mr Sandman" riff!
Wait until you hear Morgan James do Aerosmiths Dream On,,,,,💥💥💥💥💥💥💥👍🤪
You have to do their version of Barbie girl
Goodwin Underpass
Now listen to Stone Cold by Scott Bradley Post modern Julebox... it really is stunning
You need to do Don’t Speak from PMJ.
THE best cover band is the Hindley street country club. They can do anything.
