I was anticipating something incredible at the end, but an entire art gallery showcased as his different eras. I’m so hyped for his relationship with the ghouls despite it only being a Photo Booth drawing that we get. It’s fitting but now I’m obsessed with how the characters would’ve interacted. Beautiful little piece of story for the viewers! The editing of him transforming was sick too ❤

I like the idea of him and Ember being childhood friends. I could also see them as a couple, but they seem more playful than romantic, so maybe they tried being a couple, but realized they were better off as friends and still have a great relationship
I am now FASCINATED and OBSESSED with Katherine having art FOR her dolls- Zura's family photo album, and now Heathcliff's vast gallery of art featuring him in different periods!

The choice to use grey for the sclera was SO CLEVER. It really gave him the right shadowy figure vibe. That's one of my favorite things about your work - the little choices and details that seem simple enough in isolation, but when put together give your dolls so much depth.

The angling and lighting for his expression at 15:43 made me instantly think of the phrase "Aww come on, don't tell me you're scared?" Then his eyes did the glow thing right on "scared". Like the timing was immaculate!!! I love your vids Katherine, theyve helped get me through college and this difficult transition part of my life.

this is probably my favorite face-up and face modification you've ever done. given, its more simple than a lot of your other dolls, but still the smirk and the way you drew his eyes and his brows are just so good I am absolutely in love with him. the open mouthed smirk and the teeth really just complete it.
Those photos of him with Ember and the Banshee at the end were SO ADORABLE

First of all, I have to point out that when he hangs upside down, the coattails frame his body in such a way that they look like wings. Unintentional? If so, what a perfect coincidence! I love that this year you decided to do a male doll, just to keep things fresh, and he fits right in with the other girls, especially Kay Wren and her spooky-whimsy outfit. Also, those portraits from the end are so cool and an amazing way to show his character! Another knock-out doll!

this fully reinforces the vampire obsession/researching i had in like July was absolutely worth it. my favorite vampire trait is arithmomania aka "i have to pick up/count the tiny things you've thrown at me and i can't stop until I'm done or someone gets me to stop." so, living on the beach is probably your best vampire prevention method. :)
I actually love the line you pointed out. It looks like an old scar! Like maybe in his "younger" days, he had a tussle with a vampire hunter and managed to save himself, and now him and the hunter are like bffs and have coffee outings every Thursday ^-^

I know the boy dolls are never as popular, but I must say I adore the way you have crafted him. I love all your doll styles, from cute, to masculine, to feminine, to monstrous. And I just need to comment to hopefully push the alogrythm
I love, love LOVE the shoes. It really elevates his outfit and gives a much more modern feel to the design. Its like a young adult vampire from the 18th or even 19th century discovered Nike and is like "hey, these match my clothes!"

The accidental line gives him more character. Like he has a scar!

I don't comment often but I _have_ to now, because the art student in me is reeling over how you were able to paint him in all those different styles and not only have the time periods all be recognizable but also still have him be totally recognizable every time?? Oh my, I love him dearly. I have to admit, I was partial to his 80's poofy hair myself, but I do see your vision and still adore it as well. I would absolutely LOVE to see you do an 80's glam/hair metal boy, though! Metal is one of my major hyperfixations, and 80's glam/hair metal just doesn't get the representation and appreciation that it deserves

Okay but the combination of classic vampire ascetic and modern punk/goth vibes is immaculate. I feel like ancient vampires are played up to be these stuffy- stuck in their way characters - but if vampires are supposed to be apex predators they need to be able to adapt! Blend in. And all that jazz. A wonderful character! And I love the clip of him walk down the hall of many pictures! ❤❤❤

Re-watched this video and was like, love how technically Dollightfuls doll avatar is like a goddess that looks like a pastel woman among a bunch of powerful supposed to be scary dolls. Are all the other dolls just like, "oh yea that's dollightful, she's our creator and goddess but she's chill"
It's like, yea she's like a smaller mortal form of an eldritch Goddess that creates us and sometimes we see the bodies before they're completely made.

As cute as the final doll is, what I really adore is the little character piece cinematic at the end, where he's walking through all these masterpieces of art in the corridor, yet value a 2x2 of selfie pictures just as much as those artworks. ^^

I actually like his paper white skin, it definitely gives him the " I haven't been out in the sun for while" look, which makes sense since he's a vampire, and vampires are pretty well known for their very pale completion.

I kinda like the crack in his face. It makes me think he's made of porcelain, like the vampires in twilight. Which, love or hate the series, is a cool concept. Honestly, you could have emphasized it into a full on scar or crack, but I understand if that didn't vibe with the pretty boy thing you were going for.

I wonder if it wouldn't have been easier to paint the mouth pieces before sticking them in the head 😅either way though, he turned out absolutely amazing! He looks like he's be right at home at monster high. I love the little ending skit with him throughout the eras, and the little purikura pictures with the demon and banshee dolls!

As a Native I was really upset that people lied to her about that doll being offensive... I was so glad to see a well done wendigo, and having people who likely werent even native get fussy over it pisses me off.
I really like the idea of a vampire who picks and chooses their favorite fashion aesthetics to keep up with the times; like we’ve got the Victorian Gothic inspired look, combined with a little bit of a modern punk vibe, and of course the fresh kicks. It’s fun to see a unique coord come together, and the classic color palette really unifies things!🧛🏻
