kinda hard to tell about the sound thru a computer, so I removed my muffler, maybe 30 minutes of twisting it back and forth with some pentertrating fluid, Started it,....... nothing like my old chevy but better than a Rice rocket Honda, added a 45 deg tip from ORielys and thought I would give it a week to judge, the pipe is 2 1/2 inch

Just did this to my 2 door. Put the muffler as far back as I could. Cut the muffler off instead of unbolting and it was the perfect angle for the down tip! I also used a nice pipe cutter, idk if that improves anything.

Exhaust noise in the cab isn’t bad at all. I haven’t tried it without the turndown pipe so that may make a difference. The 35” tires and the soft top probably offset any exhaust noise as well. I haven’t noticed a difference with cold start…but I’m in Florida so define “cold” lol
Edit: come to think of it, the cold air intake sucking in when accelerating is actually louder than the exhaust.

It was 35 this morning and it cranks up just as it always did. I haven't noticed any issues with cold or hot start. I never counted the cranks or timed it either but nothing different that stands out.
