I've had enough of my ultra quiet stock exhaust so I bought a RedRock 4x4 axle back exhaust from extreme terrain www.extremeterrain.com/redroc... and here's how its installed.
Good Video. I just did this yesterday so let me sum this up for anyone looking. Get the two hangers off first... and do so by using a sawzall. Once you remove those... and you have the other clamp bolt off, just twist and pull and it'll come off. If you follow this simple advice... the whole thing will only take you 30 minutes MAX. I am not mechanically inclined or however you want to put it.. and it took me 30 minutes. This video helped me because of his mistake. Saved me A LOT of unnecessary time spent. Trust me... sawzall hangers... get last bolt removed... twist and pull. Install new... it's THAT EASY.
@@calebmay603 I soaked the rubber hangers in penetrating oil and used a crowbar to remove off the hangers. It took several attempts and a few cuss words but they finally came off. I believe I removed the passenger first as I thought it would give me more leverage on the driver side but I cannot confirm if it truly matters. For the exhaust, again penetrating lube and rocking the muffler back / forth. As it slowly made its way off i reapplied penetrating lube (a few times). Good luck👍
Haha, in my defense I only said it was easy in the title after I made the video! But yea,all my struggles were self inflicted. It's a very cheap, low grade stainless and I actually don't have it anymore, it was too loud and I'm too old but I replaced it with an AFE Scorpion and that's way better. There's a video for that as well. Thanks for watching!
Correct, that's why a couple years later when I started building the Jeep for off-road I changed it to the AFE Scorpion High tuck exhaust. There's a video for that too.
A. Well made video. Reminded me of RUclips back in the day instead of all modern re-imaginedSuperGhey. 2nd , this is a temptation always but I stop knowing at some point this motor has to GO ...
Terence, when I bought it in 19 it was 200$ , I think it's maybe 225 now. I've since replaced it with a quieter one by AFE, there is a video for that as well.
@@BHryhoruk Thanks! I hope you like the exhaust, I've had mine for a year and a half and still love it. There's a little drone at around 2000 rpm but not too bad. If we wanted quiet we would have bought teslas!
@ JM If you own a jeep get rid of it because you obviously have no love for one. These exhaust systems sound awesome. Actually don't get a Jeep at all just cause you don't deserve one go buy a moped.
Dish soap works great to get the hangers off.

I just installed the same muffler on my JK. Removing the muffler off a 11 year old JK was fun….. looks good!

I swear,😂you look like me under there 🤣
Easy looked like a wrestling job. Putting on a straight pipe this weekend. I assume I'll have the same dismounting problem.
Just did my wrangler, same color, use Chanel lock wrench push them rubber hangers off easy
Torque setting for band clamps? Or just tighten and go?
Get a pair of ramps, love mine, make things a lot easier.
You jinxed yourself when you said it would be wicked easy! It never is. lol. Sounds much better, Is it stainless ?

Ha what's that blade? Thought it was a strider at first. I can't readily identify it.
Go in the house and drink a beer and come back, muffler cooled down 😊
You should have seen the day I changed the spark plugs. 🔥😂
Keep the old muffler Incase it won't pass inspection
Install this if you never use your Jeep for off-roading like this fellow

I bought it used from toyota dealer that had a Jeep dealer and a bunch of other brands as well. Coincidentally, I traded in my Tacoma for the Jeep.
@@roguejk1236 peel that crap off brother!
@@BHryhoruk Lol, it is. Thats video was a month after I bought it. Totally different Jeep now.
@@roguejk1236 great vid BTW, I just ordered the red Rock Exhaust for my 2018 Willy

This would be so much better without all the struggle, and unboxing crappie. Just get to the point.
Dual exhaust on a jeep? Looks and sounds god awful, sorry!
Nah sounds good
