Nice flying dude. Too bad the props sucked. The drone does seem easier to repair for beginners. Maybe iFlight should make more easy to repair models and ignore the hardcore RC hobbyist who can build their own? Most of the FPV community aren't very smart anyway.
Not a bad strategy to bring in inexperienced pilots. If they only made drones that people flying for 10 years could repair, they can't grow their market share.
I assume the frame is injection moulded which should make it a lot more rigid than a carbon fibre one the same weight if it was designed properly. There's a lesson for frame designers in how a Mavic is constructed.
Yeah, the frame is very robust. I had about 10-12 crashes from the props exploding and the frame was undamaged. Granted, I was testing not too far off the ground and mostly landed in grass.

Hi thank you very much for this video. I recently bought this defender 16, I'm a complete beginner to drones and I think I made a mistake... 😭 I wanted to configure the drone on betaflight (I am also new to betaflight) and I believe I reinstalled the initial iflight software on the chip and deleted all the drone parameters by flashing the drone's mother chip. Since then the drone has turned on but the 03 air unit no longer turns on when I turn on the drone.... On the other hand, when I plug in the o3 is recognized by the DJI assistant when I plug it into the computer.... I imagine that the drone presets have also been reset... Do you have a solution or an explanation to resolve this problem? Thank you 🙏🙏
Hi, I would contact iFlight support with this question. I think they will provide some guidance on how to get the original firmware back on the FC but I don't know what their procedures are, sorry.
Always great reviews. Thank for the introduction to the defender with 03 air unit. I love the modular design and the type C charging, makes for a more versatile quad. As mentioned previously, this would be a great beginner quad.

How hard is it to change the frame broke my one and need to do it 😢
If it's just the prop guard, that's easy, just 6 screws and you just have to move over the air unit. If you broke the top part, you'll have to move over the camera, motors, and flight controller as well. Overall, still not that bad. Probably one of the easiest FPV drones to fix ever.
