I'll be doing this in a little over a year to save a bunch of money on rent. I know there will be other expenses, but the savings will still be massive. Plus, I enjoy "camping".
Hey, love this video, moving to full time van living next year and because i work in a pub didn’t know if was possible for me to have a full time job at the pub and live in a van. Because of you guys I’m super excited about moving to my van, thank you for everything
I'd love to do van life and work full time. Rent is so expensive and my wage doesn't pay enough to be able to save anything. Videos like this definitely give me hope that I can do this in the future! Love your editing style :)
@@KirstCheen I'm' currently working two jobs, I'm setting the intention of buying my first van to convert by December,. Once i convert it, that year when my lease ends, I hope to full time van lifing in Florida. rent is astronomical where i live, it will save me over 1400 a month by not having to pay rent and electric.
I've huge admiration your working long hours to get your first house, slogging away in your van. That said I implore you to 'sometime' learn a trade, because it'll be a good money earner. I was an officer in the Royal Navy for 22 years, during which time they taught me welding. Now with my preteen we're renovating a decrepit vintage Airstream so one day can hit the road. I've earnt good money, but had a life of danger. You two have *priceless youth* - don't waste it! I love you and Lew's lifestyle. Keep going. Much love, *hugs* Wendi
@@KirstCheen Courses on bricklaying, basic carpentry - anything really and those are mostly evening courses via your local town/village. You two are awesome!
Parking at the pub, you're living the dream! Bottom of the shirt look will gravitate slowly upwards when Lew becomes the true bossman he is. You're smashing it Kirst, very impressed with the vid!
Nice video, great to see people making this work, where are you guys based? My partner and I are thinking of doing this in Brighton, have lived in van before but not without a proper address and working full time...
Great video guys! We’re currently converting our van whilst both working full time and a little apprehensive how it will work. But your vid has defo given us confidence that it will be fine and totally chillin’ 😎 Also - that dinner looked top notch!!
Nice video. I'll be heading into van life soon too. Random question, is your little food bin big enough? Where do you put the waste without bags? Keep up the good work 👍👍
How exciting! 😍 The compost bin takes about a week to fill so it's an ideal size for 2 people 🔥 and we don't use bin bags partly for environmental reasons and partly because we can't always empty the full bin in park and street bins so it's easier to be able to pick a few bits out at a time and empty it over a few days, if that makes sense 😂
@@KirstCheen thanks for getting back to me. Really enjoying your channel. Shortly after asking this question, I saw how you do it on the morning routine video. 👍👍
Another awesome video! Lots of useful information! When I travel, I always pick up tons of odd jobs I find on Facebook marketplace haha like moving companies, etc. You'll have to check out my truck camper that me and my pup travel out of! Keep up with the awesome content!
Great, important question! We lived in France for a summer in the van so we have the whole situation worked out to a T 😂 Our van is really well insulated and we have a top of the range fan so if it's 20°C then I'll do mostly the same except I'll lift our middle front seat which traps the pups in the back of the van where it's waaay cooler and I'll set the fan to blow air in onto them and I'll set up our portable AC unit ❄️😍
Been thinking about this lifestyle with my fiancé, but we are worried about our dog. We actually work together, same hours and everything. But that means we are usually away from our dog for about 9 hours per day. We have no worries where we live now because its central air and temperatures inside never really fluctuate. Our biggest concern is leaving our dog in a van for hours during the summer months. How do you guys do it?
Hey! I've made a video talking about this, it's called "UK Van Life With Dogs: Safety precautions for hot and cold weather" I'll link it too: ruclips.net/video/d62JBY2apow/видео.html Hope this helps! 👍
FYI Lewis does all the washing up, don't think I'm out here cooking dinner everyday for free 😉
ur welcome 😜

I live in my van fulltime and work a fulltime job too here in the US. On a short note I have also been doing this since it was not popular.

Oh I love coffee. Would it be too much to sell coffee out of your van?
How do you/ what do u use to keep it cool in the van for the dogs
I made a video called “UK Van Life with Dogs” that shows how we do it 😍

cant wait until i'm the van guy at work

@@KirstCheen sounds great. Dogs die in cars in summer so scary. There's also Cooling mats, vests ect x love the video BTW x
My only concern would be my clothes smelling like food all the time

You guys are going to be living in just one room of your house when you move in 😁 what will you do with all that space ?🤔😂
Omg I know.. 😅 we've genuinely discussed still living in the van after we have the house until we get a lot of the renos and redecorating done 😂
Considering doing this, every cheap place I’ve found doesn’t allow pets
Leave your dogs in van all day is so so sad.
