That is awesome, thanks for sharing. I know slot of people who for what ever reason can't commit to a 9 to 5, but could do something like this.

@@Beanbugging thank you! 🙏🏻
Cool
thanks
That's so cool and I'm jealous! I'm in Australia and we have nothing like those apps. I don't think it would work here because everything requires so many documents, checks, qualifications and experience for entry-level :( All employers are legally required to contribute to our Super (retirement fund) so it's probably too complicated for a one-shift arrangement.
That’s really unfortunate! But thank you for that information. Had no idea the worker laws were so strict there.
I don’t know where you parked your bike but in a lot of places it would be gone when you got back.
I parked it at my job where there’s security at that post. I was transferred to another post to work the same job.
Is health insurance offered? What are your long term goals? Are you able to save and invest?
Thank you for your question! So since this is contract work, you are not an employee of the company so there’s no health insurance offered. Hopefully in the future Instawork will add it to the benefits. However, if you happen to get hurt you may be able to qualify for disability if it is a W2 job. That’s from my experience so far. Our long term plan is to save up for a small house and so far, Van Life has helped us save more than we ever could when we paid rent and utilities! We hope to do a future video about how we save 😊
Thanks, I look forward to that video
One question: if you live in your van and lets say you have a job that requires you to be there for about a month, do where would you legally have to park your van for it to stay there for a longer period of time?
We use iOverlander, an app to find free overnight parking. We find the closest and safest option nearby and we park there each night. I don’t take the job opportunity if there’s no where for us to stay close by for a long time. I just find another job somewhere else. The longest job I took was for 2 months and we alternated between Walmart and Cracker Barrel each night 😊

What about income tax?
In America if the job is W2 it gets taken out. If it’s not you have to file them as a 1099 and it gets deducted when you file them. Same applies to jobs on Instawork. Companies choose which of the two formats they want to pay you.
You literally said, "anyone and I mean ANYONE can get these jobs" but then you contradicted yourself by saying you have to pass a background check. If you have to pass a background check, that means that not ANYONE can get these jobs.
You probably need arms and legs too so yeah he’s full of it.
Unfortunately most companies do background checks to ensure their company’s safety. This is usually the norm and can’t be avoided in this case 😕 I said anyone, but I didn’t say everyone. Those are different words. “Anyone” in a group can do it. But “everyone” means the whole group can. So even though “Anyone” can do it, it doesn’t mean “everyone” will be able to. Especially considering it’s not available in all countries. Again, it’s a shame that there’s a lot of discrimination against people without “perfect” backgrounds, but this kind of app that offers employment for different companies must do this.
Really… if you can not pass a background check you have other things to work on
That's how I took it.
@@Beanbugginggreat on you for replying to a comment like that lol.. I would have not entertained the condescension lol
