- The #RamTRX is dead for now, as a replacement the #RamRHO is standing in as a replacement for now until a new #TRX is ready to be revealed and for 2025, the #Ram1500RHO gets all the hardware suspension upgrades and styling changes from the rest of the #Ram1500 lineup and the discontinued TRX. With a 3.0L Twin-Turbo I-6 under the hood, the new #RHO makes more power than the #FordRaptor and also checks in at $8,000 less expensive versus the Ford.

This New Ram RHO with 540hp for 70k just completely ruined the day for all of the US Ford Stealerships who are adding 10k to 25k markups on the New Ranger Raptor. Also, Toyota is in the same boat with the New 65k Tacoma TRD Pro.
Granger motors is taking orders at 4% under INVOICE for the rho.
Mark Dodge in Louisiana is taking orders with 9k to 11k off of MSRP.

10-25k? I got the Ranger Raptor for MSRP. Most I’ve seen in my state (calling around) was 5k. Also the Ranger is mid sized. The Ram is full sized. Completely different class.

If the decals are taken off and you see this on the highway along with a TRX that has no decals and is going to be hard for most to see any difference.
Way better of a bargain than a Tacoma TRD Pro or a Trail Hunter. My money would go on the Ram.
I would actually prefer the graphic delete to make it more mature looking. This is superior to taco in every way. Striking the price is so similar. With mark ups maybe even cheaper.

Hi, my name is Eddie Alkhamees. I own a 2022 ram Trx. I live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I love my truck and I have taken it to the extreme. Tow trips to the Empty Quarter. Each trip 700 miles all sand. It is a great truck. On the other hand, I think it is overpowered. ROH Ram will be perfect enough. And the price is great. And I believe, gas consumption will be much better. Great news.
Tungsten comes fully loaded and the Tungsten's options are the Towing Package, Locking Diff and Bed Utility. Unlike the TRX which did come standard with anything and everything was an option you had to add. RHO is probably going to be the same.
Certainly way better looking then the Tacoma Less body lines and very tough looking.
Those TT's & straight 6 would be so easy to get 1000hp out of them

This truck is literally a neutered TRX! Rams quote on the TRX 0-60 was off of its true numbers. Documented by RUclips shows sub 4 seconds.

Hood Scoop is fabulous, but the Twin Turbo charged. What could go wrong?
Turbos run extremely hot, it's important to let the oil cool down before you turn the ignition off. Otherwise, the hot oil can damage the internal components of your turbocharger. Neglecting to let the turbo cool down can also reduce oil viscosity and oil life.
When they have a trx Dakota with the 3L TT straight six, you let me know.

Stellantis from what I've seen axed the Dakota's return along with many other projects to cut costs.
They'll probably offer a redeye version next year and charge an extra 50 grand for it.
Mentioning MPG of 15/21 for Hurricane HO in Ram 1500 is highly deceiving. As you stated, the RHO tires will cut that number a bit, but another big robber of MPG will be the AWD system. Another “drag” will be the extra width & aero drag at highway speed.
I’m guessing 14/18, best case scenario. Still better than the TRX.
When we got to the interior I yelled!! No way we threw a six cylinder in a trx and rebadged it..

@@bigbearking16 Engine swaps are rarely cost-effective or sensible. They would do it just for the clout. There’s a Hellcat Miata. It would just be a middle finger to regulations.

All around, HP numbers and interior, this is “nicer” than the Eco Raptor especially at a lower price point. Competition is great for consumers. You know they’ll reintroduce the TRX at some point since the Raptor R is selling so well.

Yeah I'll be ordering this! I know several people will say , but it doesn't have that v8 and when the trx initially came out it was 69k blah blah blah...
That was over 3 years ago. Not every American can purchase a 2024 ram trx at over 100k. I had always considered getting a regular ford 150 raptor but new raptors are over 80k.
This Ram RHO competes with the current HO f150 raptor at a very competitive price. 69k isn't chump change, but it's still competitive for this super truck.

The trx 0-60 on average is more like 3.7 they're grasping for probably this trucks very very best instead of the trx's rating they gave which had a lot of fluff to put the two closer, they're NOT.

That was the problem with those massive high output engines... All the models after that are gonna be less powerful.
Less powerful but just as fast due to lighter weight. And apparently this truck has a 4.6 of 0-60
I currently own a TRD Pro Tacoma and after getting slapped in the face yesterday with the price of the new one, this might be something I trade up to. I never cared about the original TRX because of the very very poor fuel efficiency

Where did you hear RHO stood for “Ram High Output”? That was never advertised by Ram that I’ve heard and seeing it has a Rhinoceros on its emblem I believe that’s what the RHO stands for, just as TRX was for the Tyrannosaurus or T-Rex. Also, considering the Limited and Tungsten have the same motor, wouldn’t they also be RHO by that logic
Can't complain about its looks since it just looks like a TRX. I'm sure even at MSRP, it's out of my price range let alone stealership markups.

Seems like a missed opportunity to make it look a lot more distinct from the current TRX. It’s still a cool truck, and I always loved the TRX but this effort feels lazy.

Can't stand the sound of a hood that slams like that on a vehicle pricedas such. Never been a Ram Truck person ever never once ever considered "going there" after the axle disaster of the 1990s that was never resolved but this is the best "resolved" Dodge i have ever seen both presentation and on paper. Be interesting to see how well their hot head V6 works out especially when compared to all the others doing the same these days. Verdict: no it doesn't come with an iPad.
To the folks that are saying this is lame. You want to be able to experience the truck not spend your time at the gas station. The TRX is horrible with 8-15 mpg. So it makes sense to make it more fuel efficient. If you can’t accept companies making improvements, Drive a Subaru 😂

I wouldn't call the RHO lame, it is still pretty cool all in all. But the TRX is going to remain, by far, the more exciting and interesting vehicle. I've driven the Grand Wagoneer quite a few times, I know the high output hurricane is no slouch, but it's no hellcat either. And it's safe to say TRX owners did not buy their truck with efficiency in mind.
I don't own a TRX, but I do have a Trackhawk, and fuel economy was never part of the equation. People that buy these kinds of high powered vehicles, well....gas prices aren't really a concern.
I understand what Ram is doing. It's better than doing nothing and leaving the performance and enthusiast markets high and dry. But the RHO won't fill the void. It just won't.

Yeah they have sensors now that goes off when it hits a certain level. From what I understand the sensor located where the low oil mark is at in the engine.
