Did u even looked at the HP/ton difference? Take a slightly tuned (only a bit less weight) Lupo and it would had been easily the other way round. The german one is way more heavy due to more not really needed comfort stuff. But its win/win - if u want more comfort u can take it and still be nearly exactly as fast (on the straight still faster tho) or u can throw this un-needed stuff out and be faster than the modified Sport Swift Sport. German engineering is still better in this case!
The swift monster sport in that vid is actually a 1.7 as per the monster sport specs..got to save face. Facts were actually amended in a latter Best motoring Video. stating - (Displacement of M16A becomes 1,770cc from 1,490cc, keeping same stroke.) monster-sport.com/product/car/suzuki/swift/ht81s.html
hahah took a monster "tuned" ignis to beat a stock lupo. Why are ppl so excited a "special entry" tuned, modified ignis beat a field of stock show room cars. ? WTF
The stock lupo outruns the ignis s1 on the straight.... Just a shame that it can't get past it handling wise, eh? After every corner the ignis s1 gains, while the lupo needs the straight to catch up, and than the whole story starts again. And after all, the standard ignis is closer to the ignis s1 and lupo gti then the other cars are to the ignis sport in the end. 😄
The Ignis is the best hot hatch out there
