$159! I thought this board would've been like at least $200.
TKD makes $500 boards at under $200 prices. My cycle 7 is literally my favorite board in my collection and I can’t recommend it enough.
Same here mate! My C7, only with case foam and Kailh BCPs is a beast of a keyboard :)
@@nnones that’s so funny, I literally have a set of Kailh BCP’s being delivered in the next day or so. I’m really pumped to see how they will sound on this board!
@@tylerfrench4996 I hope you'll love them as much as I do! They say switches is a personal thing, but this combo really makes me wanna type more and more...Sound and feel is top notch!! Looking forward for your feedback.
If you own a tri-mode Cycle7, you know it's a disaster, DOA tri-mode toggle switches, unadaptable drivers. Whether it's the new PCBs that were promised to be sold, or the updates to the old firmware, it's like the whole team has disappeared, they do bring out new products like the cycle8, but they also act like the old things never happened!
By the way, I think TKD's team decision making is so bad that they actually plan to sell PCBs of the new solution like under support of QMK/VIA after they delivered shitty PCBs instead of just compensating for it.
@@shiori8969 I have read comments saying that there are problems with some pcbs. My C7 is wired only, with an extra db with circuit protection. Bought from Eloquent Clicks 1 month ago, I built it only with case foam for extra protection from pcb touching the case. Never had any problem and I really like it. This is my experience with this board, no complains so far. Too bad other people had faulty pcbs (read a lot about it in discord) and I agree with you that playing lottery when buying a kb is a bad thing. Mine was fine.
Nice vid mate
Why do I feel like this sounds thinner than cycle7? 🤔🤔 (also I'm not too fond of the fact this uses ribbon cable.)
Cycle 7 was already fairly thin, it was one of the reasons why I ended up selling the one I bought through group buy.
What color is this bro?
Hi, has anyone tried the HJS AL75? I can’t find much information about it online
next vid is either techbear tb8 or budget keeb roundup!!! (i hope)
$159 in usd or sgd?
Sana all
Thoughts on this vs the Neo80? The Neo80 is a pretty stellar keyboard in every regard in my experience, just curious as to how this would top that?
Cycle8 is a step above the neo. Neo is still value king since you can get it on u.s. mechmarket for $130-160 shipped while this is gonna be 190-200 capped out at average config. If you have the extra money, cycle8. The ano on cycle is better too
The ano on my neo80 is pretty impeccable. Loving it so far! But definitely like the look of the cycle 7 over the neo 70
I had the same question but after researching I went with the neo80 due to the variety of mounting configurations/sound profiles and couldn't be happier.
is this the Cycle 8 Metal color ??
crow!
@@LewisToh thanks for clarifying.
Interesting, what colorway was this? It's hard to tell whether it was Crow Black or Metal Gray at times.
crow!
@@LewisToh Thanks for the follow-up, it is much appreciated.
witch one better for you? cycle8 or neo80?
Most likely the cycle7
This vs Vento80? Seems like general consensus is that the Cycle 7 also sounds better than the Cycle 8
i got my dream keyboard just yesterday too! (matrix corsa)
Do you recommend this for someone who has never built a keyboard?
Absolutely, ball catch system makes those super easy to build.
@@kleinkalibar7486do you think it comes with instructions? Or is it pretty straight forward. Also I would need lube for the stabs and switches right?
@@haddixmarrero7535 Usually customs don't come with instructions in the package but there are either online RUclips tutorials or step by step guides. I would always recommend having lube around. Dielectric grease for the stab wires and some Krytox. For switches you can start with decent prelubed ones like Gateron Milky Yellow Pro. I built plenty of custom keyboards so far and lubing switches is a pain in the ass/not very enjoyable. And there are plenty of decent prelubed options...
@@haddixmarrero7535 Depends on what switches you get, there are a lot of pretty good pre-lubed switches out there now a days, but yes you would want some lube for stabs.
@@haddixmarrero7535 For stabs yes, but for switches it depends on what you decide to get. There are so many options for good factory lubed switches that you can just get away with slapping them into your first board and not go through the lubing process, but in the end it comes down to personal preference.
Amazing review
Which is your favorite color from the available options?
maybe its the plate but the board sounds so muted
No knob tho :(
Amazing Video. I also just got a new keyboard and I don't ever think I am going to buy another as it is the AK820 from Ajazz.
I want all these keyboards but do not want to do a group buy :(
eyyyy, congrats 😍 always nice to know what your favorite keyboard RUclipsr use as a daily keyboard 🤭🤭
i love thattt keeebbbbb .its so slick and elegantt.
Neo80 or this? Worth to upgrade from neo80?
no magnetic pogo on daughterboard, making it slightly a hassle if u plan on opening the keyboard often
cycle8 by faaaar
@@AverageStudent1-l8m can also wait for qk80v2, personally i think qwertykeys just has phenomenal service and qc and with tkds cycle7 there were many issues w pcbs just not working
I'm not a TKL guy as I prefer 75% but got the Neo80 months ago and it may be the best typing board I have ever used. This looks pretty fantastic but it would be really hard to be the Neo80 in regards to typing height, angle and ease of built at least for me.
@@MarbsMusic the problem with neo 70 and 80 is the sound of bottom alpha row and space bar, they are not as full
i do wonder what the gateron ks3 mx black switches are lmao
and why no 7u spacebar
ruclips.net/video/phFOCHNiDpc/видео.htmlsi=0eHj6B1oM8uxWh56&t=105 gave me a small heart attack with it sitting on a railing :D
