Enjoyed your video Mike. The barrels were used in the process of making limestone bricks, which were fired in kilns that you can still see in the park. And the fire was the 2020 CZU fire. A back fire was set at Fall Creek to keep the fire from burning down the town of Felton. I live near where you were hiking and am a Docent at HCRSP.. I never get tired of our forest!

Hello and thanks for the info! That hike, especially the bottom half was one of the most beautiful places I have been! It's like a fairy tale. Can't wait to go back. I want to hit Big Basin too once I figure out the best trails that are currently open.

Thanks bud I appreciate it. The lower portion was gorgeous and the upper area was silent like I was the only person in the world. Really a special place.

One would expect to see Tom Bomadil and Goldberry out there somewhere. I love that forest. ❤

Hey Mike 👋 I haven't been to this one as of yet! I enjoyed the trek! Absolutely beautiful 😊 I love the redwood forests so much! The sounds of the water are awesome, and you had so many water crossings! The mill site was interesting. Big Ben looks amazing! I enjoyed tagging along on this one! What a beautiful place Thanks 😊

It was a lot nicer than expected. I originally thought it was in Big Basin which is actually where I wanted to go. This was a great surprise. Love it. Glad you like it!

Ey great video. The footage looks awesome. Big Ben is pretty damn huge lol. Dang a lot of downed trees. It's a trip watching footage from the same camera but from a much taller perspective 😆

Haha thanks! Ya the cam is perched on top of my cap bill so even taller than my own eyes. I'm gonna play around with using hard values for ISO and shutter speed (like say 60 and 1600 with no auto). Might be a pain to have to change it in every lighting situation but it would look great. Well potentially.

@@outsidewithmike Yeah I mean it looks great overall without digging too much into the settings. My last video there was noticeable camera shake but I was jogging. I'm ok with it. Still would look better than my phone during those situations.
