Oh wow!! That ledge!! 😮 It was nice to watch you hike that, because no way could I do that one! Gorgeous scenery and views! That really is a beautiful park!

In some spots you don't really notice the drop because the bushes block the view down. But when you do see it it's straight down in some areas. I was a bit nervous a few times, not a fan of heights!

Thank you! I'm always trying to improve the videos. Hard to go wrong with a great trail like that. Great to hear from you, I gotta catch up on your vids. I always fall behind you publish them so fast! It's awesome how much you get around 😀

Wow this is a beautiful hike! I am prepping for Mt Whitney at the end of May, coming from the East Coast, and have been worried about elevation. I have been training a lot for it, but am worried something will go sideways. Your videos really help motivate me to continue to train, get prepared for anything on Mt Whitney, and to keep going. Thank you! Happy trails to you!

That's awesome, thank you! I figure the better my cardio is the less my heart etc will have to work, negating at least some of the effects of high altitude. For example, the 2 women with us that summited are ultra-runners and have no high altitude experience at all. They are just in fantastic shape.
Going up a few days early helped me too on the first trip. I am going to climb Whitney Sept 14th. Some people have no problems with it, some have problems one time, then none the next.
Let me know how your trip goes!

Thank you. Last time I went I was probably 18 and drinking beer on the rock in the area that was closed. Easy access from the Highway.

Nice. That place has some nice views. I backpacked there a few years ago when it was wet & rainy. Nobody was there lol. I probably wouldn't camp there again though. During the day gunshots were going on with the range nearby. Then there was drag racing on Hwy 9 all night. That's a cool loop you did.
That cliff side area was pretty sketch with the rain. I got lost a bit around the steep scrambling section.

I saw the camping area, or one of them? I heard a few gunshots really far away. It is a cool loop, had a great time.

@@outsidewithmike Yeah looked like you passed by. There's around 20 spots with fire pits.
