I actually like all 3 versions, but yeah I love a deep cobalt or deep navy right now for a neutral. I think the orangey terracotta color could look amazing with the right styling. Nice job they look perfect, like brand new from a store! 👏🏻

They look amazing! one thing I started doing is drill the new hardware holes before I paint. That way if I make a drilling mistake, I’m not ruining the paint job 👍

Really pretty. Blue looks so great in so many rooms and decors. Wood, white, modern, rustic, Cottage. My blues and sages always sold super fast.

The handles ate gorgeous! I loved the previous color. I thought you would have modernized the base by getting rid of the curved details. That would have made a huge difference... I am really glad you sold them ! Thanks so much for sharing

The keyhole plates are formally called escutcheons. Don't throw them away -- you may want to use them on a later project that has more romantic leanings!

One pet peeve I have is when people don’t paint the back of a piece. Sometimes, in certain setups it will be visible and it drives me nuts when I have to limit how I position pieces in my home. I mean if I spend good money on them, I would like to be able to use them how I really like.
The back isn’t supposed to be painted.
@@mascottie according to who? I have painted the backs of several pieces when I do them myself. Most furniture offered for sale in the 80s and 90s that was lacquered or painted had the backs painted as well.

That is crazy how much faster these sold with a new paint color and new hardware. Guess the lesson learned is that trendy sells!

They do look better blue and definitely better hardware. IMO, the only thing I would have done is to have cut off the trim at the bottom for a cleaner, more modern look.

Yeah, I think with the masculine color and hardware, the trim seems a nice yin/yang balance.
Love the update! (But then again, I may be biased since I did a very similar look - dark navy blue and champagne bronze handles - in a bathroom I redid recently. 😊)

Orange is hard to fit into decor. A deep terracotta or rusty brown might have sold sooner, but that particular shade of orange was too Halloween

I think this dark color hides the scalloped bottom, which dates the nightstands. Maybe next time, cut the scallops off. Just an idea.
I’ve found the only colors that sell for me are White, Tan, Black, Raw Wood, and sometimes green and blue. It gets very boring painting after a while

I loved that burnt orange color but as you say, it is a color that do not suite many. For me I did not like the stands, to heavy on the bottom but with the dark blue color they look less chubby there, much better.
The other way was nice but the newer way is even better.
If this happens again where something isn't selling, maybe add to the listing by saying something like, "Paint Color Customizable"?

I think that orange color would have worked if you changed the base to that mcm base that you do. Or even using a jigsaw to cut out the details of the base. And the new pulls look way nicer!
