This was *exactly* what I was looking for, specifically the difference in noise level and tactile feedback between Keychron's Gateron reds and browns. Kudos for being concise and delivering info in an efficient manner - appreciated!
I don’t get quite so excited about influencers’ paid ad videos, as they “review” products in a vacuum with no comparisons and no negatives and hence provide no usable information. They are, after all, created to benefit the brand, not the viewer.
LOL. I'm so glad I looked this up cos I thought it was just a preference of color at first, but figured there had to be more to it since you don't see the colors.
Thank you so much for this comparison and review! It sounds like despite them saying that the red switches are lubed and quieter, they're still making more noise than I would want when typing at night. You've been amazingly thorough, detailed, and helpful!
I've switched my choice from brown to blue due to the description of it being like a typewriter! Harder to make typos when you know for sure when the key press has registered.
I'm new to the keyboard enthusiast scene. I just got my first 60% keyboard yesterday. Typing on it now. :) I'm a big fan of the blue switches so far. I have a Pauroty keyboard. I'm a big fan of the loud click. It reminds me of the IBM Model M keyboards back in the day. :)
GREAT video! I bought the K4 v2 with Brown switches, but think I'm trading it in for a K10 with Blue switches. I like the click! I learned to use a computer with a Macintosh Plus, with the VERY clicky keyboard which was very satisfying to use. Thanks!
Ordered my Keychron Q6 Pro with red switches. Nice, but I found myself making a lot of errors as the actuation force is fairly low and they're linear, no bump. Ordered a set of brown ones instead and that fixed it for me thanks to a higher actuation force and a small bump. Absolutely love them.
I'm glad it helped! I've just posted a new video for low-profile keyboards. In case you haven't bought it already 🤪 ruclips.net/video/rcG1xB8JMJY/видео.html
Reds take a week to get used to when comming from clicking switches. But overall I prefer them to the point where I’d most likely never use anything else.

Good to know your opinions as well as the sound differences between these switches. I think I fell in love with the sound of the blue switches.
Great video! I just cannot decide which switches to get. I am leaning more towards the browns, and knowing that you like them too, I might just go with those.
@@orfeous I got the browns and added o rings to dampen the sound. I like the slightly clicky sound and satisfying feel considering that they are stock switches. Plus, the o ring upgrade was fairly cheap on Amazon.
I have the Brown switch but sometime during meetings they ask me to mute my mic because they can hear the clicks. I primarily use a headset mic, especially if I'm using a condenser mic.
Yea, it can be tough to mitigate the noise. I believe even the reds would be an issue. I think @NicholasSmerk is onto something with the different mic.

I just ordered my Q6 with Blues for this very reason. I wanted to get as close as I could to my vintage Apple keyboards, which are a tactile delight.
Your roommate(s)/family/significant other(s) must really love it...
Just kidding, well-done blues are great, but they're hard to do right
It definitely depends on your typing habit.
I'm a floating typist, I did't push down the key all the way back.
It's so quiet.
Looks like in the whole video, brown switches are the winners with very good feedback and are not loud switches.

I use the browns with rubber orings on the stem of the keycaps. Very quiet when not bottoming out on the plastic
love it! I appreciate the unadulterated feedback.
