that generator is a really good setup. The fact it auto starts to charge up the battery bank is really cool. The more I see on the ecoflow stuff, the more I start to like them. they seem really well built.
There’s a reason why I keep doing EcoFlow reviews, I get constantly asked by other companies but I want a quality product if I’m going to talk about it.
The idle power consumption is quite high. Wonder if they could have used two inverters one to be more efficient at lower loads and both in parallel for higher loads.
Thank you very much QsTechService1, I try to make these in the same way I do my usual videos. It’s a lot of work because I don’t have a constant format like the full time reviewers have. Mine is more freestyle
@@HVACRSurvival you do a good job at it. Keep up the good work awesome review videos posting the videos of you. Fixing lots of AC units plus review videos also work it’s not easy, pumping videos out …
Mine overheated charging and then discharging with a 1450W heater. Once discharged it would not charge and was completely dead for an hour and a half. Was told by EcoFlow that it's normal. The AC inverter's self-consumption of about 40W is likely the biggest downer as it seriously limits runtime for light loads.
the vacuum pump and recovery machine draw may be higher when they're under load in actual use, especially the recovery machine with high head into a recovery cylinder.
Maybe a little higher. You seen it was only pulling 800 W so it could pull double that and still be underneath what it’s rated for plus how many people do both things at the same time. Like they say, just because you can don’t mean you do.
This is a great review, thank you! One question - in the run time test with the fridge connected, you only got under 500 watt hours out of it (~45% efficiency). Why so low? I'm hoping to use this to power a fridge in the case of an outage, but concerned why I'd only be able to effectively use half of the unit's capacity.
@@HVACRSurvival Gotcha, that makes sense. I can make the math pencil out for the indoor fridge test (~25% lost to AC inverter, which makes up the difference) - it's the garage mini fridge test that doesn't add up for me! I have to verify it yet, but I don’t believe it’s made to work with the Delta pro three, you want to use the 4000 series for the Delta pro three. I’ll be releasing a video on the 4000 series here in the next week during the Black Friday sales event 2024.
Buying an inverter microwave... You can vary your cooking wattage with the cook power level. Unlike the a standard microwave that just cycles full power on/off to vary cook speeds.
You can't run a camper with the Delta 3, it only gives you 8 amps on 12 volts. The heater will not run, and the water pump will not run. On prime days, I had one in my cart, I did a bit more research (good thing) and just got a LiFePO4 Battery.
I guess that depends on if you’re running everything on 12 V dc or 120 V ac. It’s a small power station more towards AC power and solar charging than it is DC. I wouldn’t buy a power station wanting to use it on DC primarily unless it had an Anderson plug in it.
I have the older version of ecoflows duel fuel generator. Will the Delta 3 Plus smart charge from that device or do I need to upgrade to the new generator?
I don’t know how well it works but EcoFlow is who put it in my information sheet. That thing looks like it was made out of plastic but as long as you have a air intake and a place for the exhaust; plus the generator is secured so it can’t turn it should be fine.
@@xraykadiddlehopper8067 the 3000 has 120 V outlet that will charge any 120 V power station so it can be used for anything. @@HVACRSurvival fake news. It connects to ecoflow delta products via the extra battery special cable and does DC direct charging. Infact you can plug the ecoflow extra batteries directly into this genorator to charge them and the gen will DC charge and turn itself off when done. Short term yes I do use it. But if the power is out for days I will be using both. My 8kw generator will charge my delta pro 3 and ultra plus run the house.
Was hoping that you would review this battery power station. I see that it has a feature called “Disable Grid Bypass” which states “This feature enables high quality electricity supply for your appliances. When turned on, it prevents the grid from bypassing the battery and powering your appliances directly. The grid will only power appliances when the battery reaches its discharge limit.” I wonder how this feature works while being recharged with a non-inverter type generator, i.e. does it lower the THD to protect sensitive equipment? Thanks for the review.
Basically the battery runs the load at all times vs passing the wall power or generator power to the load directly. Then the battery is charged from the wall like the smaller cheaper power stations are. But I see why they would offer this as an option if clean power is critical.
Anyone know if this is compatible with older Delta batteries like the Delta 2? I would think that is just an app thing as they went away from the DC to DC connector?
Nope. I use to use them to test the output of microwaves. The water will warm up a certain amount of degrees depending on the wattage being used. It’s actually in one of the service manuals for Amana microwaves.
I ordered a Delta3 plus on prime day to compliment my Honda 3000. Cant wait to try it out!
