- We turned the small attic space off of an upstairs closet into clean insulated storage space. It was cheap, quick to do, and is great usable space now! Thanks for checking it out!!

You're like the only person on the internet that insulated and sealed an attic space like I was trying to get ideas for. Great job!
Really interesting way to utilize that big chunk of dead space in this type of crawl space. Love it
Wow that's an amazing idea your attic looks great it makes it people more willing to go up there (lol).
I was hoping to see the closet and how it goes into your attic. My attic is above my closet and it already has a small door. I have never been up there but my husband has. He says it has a lot of room. I am inspired to try and use the space. I guess it is time to take a look and see what I can do.
Great idea and fun to watch! keep the good work
Awesome video. I liked and subscribed. I just made a bit of a video of converting my loft space. I used all recycled material and mine looks a little rougher around the edges than yours but it does the trick for me 😊. Well done and good luck with the channel 😊.
Great video! Exactly what we are thinking of doing in our attic. Did you insulate the back side of the access doors that you built? Do you find the temp and humidity is pretty constantly maintained at an acceptable level now in that space? Thanks!
Thanks! I would say it’s definitely worth it! I did insulate the back of the doors. I checked the temperature inside this area when it was the heat of the summer and the coldest of winter, and I was impressed how close it was to the inside temp. Like 8 - 10 degrees different if I remember correctly.
Good stuff! Do you have a feel for summer time temp in attic now that it’s insulated. Thinking of doing the same thing in our attic if it can keep the temp halfway reasonable for storage.
Amazing protect, I’m planning on doing something similar in a house I’ll be moving too in about a month.
What song is in the second half? Seems to start at about 7:10 but for sure at 8:47. I know you mention it’s from your friends band, Autolight but I can’t seem to find this song.
you probably dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my gf lately :)
@Jeremiah Cayden definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself =)
Brad what is the temp difference between the new space and attic. I noticed someone else asked this but there was no answer that I could see. Anyway did you find that the temp was not to hot during the summer heat? I need to create a space to store some things in my attic that will not be affected by heat.
Something happened with my email a little while ago, and all of my responses to comments got deleted. 🤦🏼♂️ I did notice quite a change in temp. If I remember correctly in the heat of the summer it was only about 12 degrees warmer in there than it was in the house. So, the heat has not been an issue. 👍🏻
what is the temp difference in attic vs your storage space?
Would I be able to do something similar to this but use it as a chill hobby area?
@@DIYWoodntYou ok, thank you!!
Why luan and not drywall?
Louon?? Lewon?? Not familiar with this. Please explain.
Thank you. I will definitely look for it.
How long did it take you
@@DIYWoodntYou Not too bad. ~$200 in material and 20 man hours.
Any moisture issues?
Nope, not a bit thankfully. 👍🏻
