Thank you, I was concerned how durable BMW leather was and how it would look agents time. Now I see how a little TLC will prolong the seats appearance. Thank you!
Thank you for this very informative video. Clear after and before "narrative" and step-by-step "how-to" -procedure. TBH I think thats BMW "Dakota" leather? Its really durable, easy to keep clean but rather "hard" ... not soft like nappa or such.
Hi and thanks for watching. No on the contrary; the balm nourishes and moisturises the leather to prevent it drying out and also provides some protection from staining. Think of the cleaner like polish for paintwork and the balm like a wax to protect it. The balm isn’t a permanent coating, it needs reapplying based on use.
I need to stop watching these videos! Just about to do a headlight restoration on my 1 series, now I've come across this video, I will also be doing my seats this weekend!

Not a problem, glad the video helped!

Thanks for the great feedback, glad it helped. Yes you're right, it is Dakota leather in the Coral Red colour (BMW code LCL5).
Subscribed. Fantastic presentation and detail just about to start this with my E46 with these products this helped enormously. Cheers 👍
Thanks for the feedback and sub. Let me know how it goes with yours once you’ve finished and what you think of the end result.
Aren’t balms bad for the top coat that in this case would have been applied to the seats by BMW?
