I don't care what people say about this movie, for me it's a masterpiece.
Because that's the Zack Snyder's invented version of Superman. That's not similar about the real Superman of the comics

Snyder is such a cool director. Might not be the best in terms of script-wrting, but his action scenes are definitely one of the best out there. Actually, it's the best I've ever seen so far.
Zod 's armor was entirely CGI? It looked incredible. I always assumed Michael Shannon wore some kind of costume and they enhanced it with CGI. Great job!
Of the Kryptonians, Only Faora and Car Vex's armors were real.

my guess is that Zod armor is much more complicated than Faora's thus it has to be cgi while Faora can have the real shit. Poor Zod tho

Неон I've always thought that since it came out...nothing that came after it was ever the same.
Best cbm bar none. It ruined all other comic book movies for me ever since. As a comics fan since 1978 (Marvel, DC, you name it) I didn't know what exactly was missing from the cbms I'd mostly enjoyed until I saw MOS. Finally here was a film that captured the tone, drama and action of the comics, and made me feel a whole range of emotions too. The incredible casting, sound track and awesome fx didn't hurt either.
Or the second after Wonder Woman... Man if Steel has more impact but Wonder Woman seems to have less writing problems. (Not that Man of Steel had THAT much problems)

I look at these scenes and I feel a great sadness, because today we have nothing new from this great Superman, I just want to say thank you very much Zack Snyder.
I think the best superhero fight scene ever made so far was from Man of Steel. The directing personnel did a perfect job conveying power, speed, and scale. One punch takes the fight to a restaurant, a second later the fight is now in space; the fight scenes themselves are very enjoyable
and the special effects! They're absolutely mind-blowing
Not one shot in this movie looked like it was enhanced by CGI and yet like half he shots were. It's so freaking real

regardless of what you think about the storyline, this movie should be more than 7 in my opinion. it had so many cool fights and the CGI was top notch ;) most of it
the story is amazing as well. Far better than anything either Marvel or DC put out since the first Ironman.
They worked this hard only to have those ungrateful fans complaining about every single stuff.
I love the 1 x 2 fight scene between Supes and those 2 Kryptonians. It's just so awesome. I usually delete the movies tht already watched, but I keep MoS, only to rewatch the fight scenes again.
This is straight up an American classic. One of top 5 best movies of all time.

When Henry walked out of the shadows at 3:26 I was like "it's freaking superman"
Imagine putting this much passion and commitment to a Superman movie just for some lousy critics and nerds to complain as if they're the ones out here making stuff happen on the big screen. I've never been too big of this character in movies until I watched MOS, and it still stands out to me as the best DCEU movie visually. Also, Cavill looked his best here as Superman!
I mean, if you were never a big fan of this character until this film, you can't really tell the other fans who've been fans of this character longer than you have that they're wrong for not liking this superman .
And the nerds who don't like the film have every right to say that they don't like it since they're the customer paying to watch it. A customer has a right to express how they feel about a product that they paid for. That's literally how business works. And movies are a business.
And critics kinda have a point . Superman has NO character arc this whole movie. He starts out helping ppl first time we see him and we don't know why he does it unlike captain America , for comparison, cuz even his dad tells him not to do it . We're just expected to assume he helps simply cuz he's superman, not cuz that's what his parents taught him to do growing up or anything. And then by the end of the film, he has a superman suit on and is helping ppl, Same way he started the film. No arc. He doesn't change the whole movie. Even in Bvs he has no arc, unlike batsman, who actually has a good character arc in Bvs and JL.
Henry cavill was never part of the reason why superman fans dislike Snyder's superman. A lot of ppl who dislike this film still like cavill as superman. And visually, nobody, not even the ppl who dislike this film, say that it's bad. In fact most ppl who dislike Snyder's film admit the one thing he's talented at is visuals in his DC movies.

genius? hardly he is a great visualist i give him that but as a storyteller(the first thing a director should be) he is total crap
i think less fiery explosions and less over the top fighting would have seriously helped the film, the first 2/3 are very relatable and well done humanising, but there's just to much of the destruction in the last 3rd, i think if they toned it down continued it, reigned it in better for the rest of the film and made the fight more emotional, and reduced the number of big saves the day moments that would have been a perfect superman film you know still keep the spectacle, and then for batman v superman a sequel with the batman going after superman and lex pulling the strings, less plot paths a story about rage building and hate towards this figure, suport but media and international protesting then when it all gets down, batman consumed by delusion and everything being said finally tries to kill superman superman holds him off with his last breath and stabs batman with the kryptonite, batman exits reflecting on what happened, and then leave doomsday and wonder woman for late, but i'm still excited for the next one.

Michael looks so funny in is body suit and Henry is hilarious hugging a green pillow or whatever it is during his shooting of the fight scene with Michael. This is why actors are paid well. To look silly in front of the camera 😂 I’m sure they were shocked as hell when the saw the movie! Michael was probably like “wow my armor is so cool too bad I didn’t get to really wear it and feel all that cool and powerful” hahahaha
For what's worth, I didn't even notice Zod's armor was CGI when I first watched it in theaters. It's really well made.

I've always been more of a DC fan, but Superman has never appealed to me. Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman were basically my introduction to him as a character and a super hero. I don't care what people say, I loved both films and I am beyond excited for the Snyder Cut. I love Snyder's vision for both Superman and Batman.
