I would love to see that, but practically would not be viable. With Twin Engine jets with almost double the efficiency with similar capacity, 4 engines would only be viable on jets like the 747 and the A380.

On the first test aircraft of the A340 it says on the fuselage "Longer Further Faster Farther. When door 4 right is open, it says Longer Further Faster Fart". Well I thought it was funny anyway but it's true!!!
@juanjillocr exactly man! i guess its all about the price they may thought that a beast with 4 engine travelling and buring quite more fuel then the A330 should be stopped! or i dunno there might be another problem ! we never knw what goes Deep inside the aviation industry!

I know the US itunes has a lot more than the Canadian Itunes, and I use the Canadian one. It just so happens that the Canadian store carries that song. I flew from Singapore to Los Angeles in an Airbus A340-500 three years ago. That plane is so confortable, and the flight attendants, so attractive. ;)

Such as the 777-300ER, slightly down on capacity and has better range. And with the 777-8 and 9X, it will only rub more salt in the A340 wound.
