Even with Devil Gene gone, his strength has already increased by a bit before leaving. Which begs the question why is Jin that strong? Idk if you ever did sparring or something. The first time it's scary to hit someone and getting hit. Once you get used to it you become much stronger and react quicker etc.
Three things I like about this ending 1. Kazuyas sneaker collection I love it when characters have hobbies they enjoy. 2. Confirmation that his attraction to Jun was mutual because he admired her strength. Seemingly he still admires her from that last scene. 3. That tekken after all these years can still have this silly endings even with characters that take themselves so seriously.
I really think Heihachi really rubbed off on him, which is why his personality is like that. But somewhere inside, he has that human side of him where he would actually open up how he feels, all while maintaining a serious personality.
Okay I think its been confirmed Kazuya truly loves Jun. The fact he still has a picture of her and calls her strong shows it despite being mostly corrupted and full of hate. Also, the last part where it said “Hobbies” and he just silently got up abruptly, opens the door, and does a evil laugh as he shows off his sneaker collection was the best thing.
My guess is that there will be another ending for True Devil Kazuya in DLC, since in this one he shows no devil corruption but his twisted convictions molded by his life. 😅
There's also Jun's ending where she dreams of Jin and Kazuya having a friendly spar as she watches from the distance, and they seem like a happy family. When she wakes up alone, the blanket she's wrapped in has the G Corporation logo.
Well Kazuya was dead for most of Jin's life and was only a part of it for 2 years after he was resurrected, as Tekken 4 through 7 took place during a single year.

We saw in their final slug fight when Jin was laying on the large rock defeated, Kazuya, while knowing Jin is still alive, didn't try to kill him and was literally walking away until Jin stood back up with the power of friendship. Also, there's no way Kazuya doesn't know that kicking a Mishima off a cliff won't be killing them based on his experience. So all in all, he definitely does have some affection for Jin, but he would still try to pummel him black and blue whenever he tries to get in his way.
That’s my favorite part. I assume during their T2 meet they met on the battlefield and fault at first but Kazuya was drawn to her being fearless of his true powers and Kazuya admired how strong she was. I guess afterwards they hit it off and she must of left the tournament

Brilliant ending. They manage to make Kazuya more complex and endearing with his thoughts on Jun while also managing to have one of the best punchlines I've seen in this series yet. All of which being done completely in character without having to bring anyone else in the cast down. Bravo Namco.

He’s a product of the 90s, he was in his youth when sneakers started popping off! My dad was a teen and then an adult in the 90s, and he never grew out of his love for Jordans and sneakers lol.

In my opinion, I think he just has high expectations for Jin and Jin took until tekken 8 to show an ounce of the strength that Kazuya was looking for.
Out of all of Kazuya's endings, this one is definitely my favorite. Not only does it show how evil he usually is, but it brings him down to earth a little. He may be evil but he loves his woman, Jun, which I'm very glad they touched upon that. His reason for loving her and his attraction for her was very sweet and genuine. Even for a hardass like Kazuya. Showing that he has very high standards when it comes to women. Plus, he loves his sneakers. You know Kazuya was elated when they asked him that question about his hobbies. He just wanted to show off his massive sneaker collection

I would like to believe that even with the Devil inside or as one with Kazuya, they have a secret, rare, nice side in them. He had time to arrange this video interview & Jun is not even trying purify him in this moment. Even smiling with him (due to love).
Kazuya was always humanized. The reason he is what he is because losing both his mother and grandfather, his father betraying him, never really trusting anyone, but himself due to it really made him the man he is today. Kazuya wasn’t born evil, he got this way due to these factors. It gets worse when it was revealed his Mom tried to kill him and Heihachi, which naturally caused Kazuya to become heartbroken over it. Truth to be told, Kazuya’s life is pretty sad, he had no friends, no one truly to care about him and his only reason for living was simply revenge against his father, Heihachi. Not to mention, even victory never gave him the satisfaction he thought he would get out of defeating Heihachi, still hating the man and still fought on in a spite filled attempt to fill that void. He was literally traumatized as a child and no matter what he tells him himself, he wouldn’t know how to find true closure, especially in regards to Heihachi.
Was introduced to Kazuya via Smash Bros. Thought he was cool so I looked into him some more. Saw this cutscene and instantly fell in love. Currently playing through every Tekken game in chronological order. I'm on 4 as of now.
Tekken 2 was my first Tekken and Kaz has always been my main. After 30 irl years, Jun being absent all that time, Kaz dying, being replaced then resurrected, and all the Mishima madness in that time, to _finally_ have some story content of Jun and Kaz's relationship beyond just 'they have a son' is sooo goddamn good. My boy finally got his waifu.
I'm glad we finally get to see Kazuya and Jun interaction. Always wondered how Jun fell in love with Kazuya and vice versa. I think the only time we seen these 2 interacted was in the 90s animated movie.

Laughter exploded out of my mouth with the presentation of Kazuya's 'hobby' and the knowledge of exactly where it came from. Some people who didn't know before had to do research on the closest thing Kazuya had to a hobby, then present what they learned in a way that made sense to his aesthetic. Everything about it is perfect, and it doesn't damage Kazuya's image as a powerful, intimidating character in any way.
If you really take the time to notice it, between the furious bolts of lightning, the somber music along with the speech(he sat up nights and days thinking about how to explain this) about how Kazuya and Jun first met you'll realize it all is coming from a small but very powerful place of whats left in that cold iron fisted heart of his. Call it what you want but that man Kazuya got a true woman at his side and even he had to acknowledge that😂
Im pretty sure he initially started collecting sneakers just out of spite to one up Heihachi. But I guess over time he actually grew to enjoy the collection process and it evolved into what we see today.
it's not hard to see why kazuya loves Jun, she's one of the few people in his life who has shown care for him and she hasn't Betrayed, abused or tried to throw him off a Cliff.

I’m surprised everyone has talked about how there’s an entire hall of sneakers and how it just comes to show Kazuya really is a sneaker head, yet NO ONE has mentioned how Bandai Namco managed to make each individual sneaker for this ending. Every single detail, for every sneaker, more than 100 sneakers was designed uniquely out of the rest, for the funnies. I know the devs needed to make it clear that Kazuya loves his sneakers, but this is commitment like no other lmao
I finished the storymode and I'm disappointed that we only got a teaser for Jun at the ending. I thought we would get more of Jun in the storymode seeing as how Harada said she's alive. Now we have to wait god knows how long for Tekken 9 to know what role Jun plays in the story. 😢
Kazuya isn't just a Sneaker Fiend though. This dates back to his outfits ever since he won the Mishima Zaibatsu from Heihachi and all of his outfits have reeked of Drip.
I forgot Kaz is a sneaker head! If you played Tekken 1 (he's a young man at this time) one of his costumes he has a tank top jeans and sneakers on. I think they were chuck Taylor's I can't really remember but they were sneakers for sure! (They weren't Chuck Taylors. If you look at his costume closely in Tekken 1, you see something the looks like a Nike Symbol on his red sneakers.)

@@XiaoFury I don't think Kazuya hates Jin perse as Kazuya hated Heihachi, but it's more like extreme disappointment that someone who has a strong mother and father would come out 'weak'. In my opinion, I think he just has high expectations for Jin and Jin took until tekken 8 to show an ounce of the strength that Kazuya was looking for.
Out of all of Kazuya's endings, this one is definitely my favorite. Not only does it show how evil he usually is, but it brings him down to earth a little. He may be evil but he loves his woman, Jun, which I'm very glad they touched upon that. His reason for loving her and his attraction for her was very sweet and genuine. Even for a hardass like Kazuya. Showing that he has very high standards when it comes to women. Plus, he loves his sneakers. You know Kazuya was elated when they asked him that question about his hobbies. He just wanted to show off his massive sneaker collection

Kazuya was always humanized. The reason he is what he is because losing both his mother and grandfather, his father betraying him, never really trusting anyone, but himself due to it really made him the man he is today. Kazuya wasn’t born evil, he got this way due to these factors. It gets worse when it was revealed his Mom tried to kill him and Heihachi, which naturally caused Kazuya to become heartbroken over it. Truth to be told, Kazuya’s life is pretty sad, he had no friends, no one truly to care about him and his only reason for living was simply revenge against his father, Heihachi. Not to mention, even victory never gave him the satisfaction he thought he would get out of defeating Heihachi, still hating the man and still fought on in a spite filled attempt to fill that void. He was literally traumatized as a child and no matter what he tells him himself, he wouldn’t know how to find true closure, especially in regards to Heihachi.
Was introduced to Kazuya via Smash Bros. Thought he was cool so I looked into him some more. Saw this cutscene and instantly fell in love. Currently playing through every Tekken game in chronological order. I'm on 4 as of now.

Tekken 2 was my first Tekken and Kaz has always been my main. After 30 irl years, Jun being absent all that time, Kaz dying, being replaced then resurrected, and all the Mishima madness in that time, to _finally_ have some story content of Jun and Kaz's relationship beyond just 'they have a son' is sooo goddamn good.

Honestly it makes me really happy to know that Kazuya was drawn to Juns strength and that’s why he fell for her (whether it was romance or seduction isn’t really relative) because when I was younger (back in 2002) I thought Kazuya was bad A F but I felt conflicted supporting kazuya because the tekken forums back then led me to believe he Graped Jun. I’m so glad that wasn’t the case. Cause I’ve been feeling weird about it since Tekken 2-3

Laughter exploded out of my mouth with the presentation of Kazuya's 'hobby' and the knowledge of exactly where it came from. Some people who didn't know before had to do research on the closest thing Kazuya had to a hobby, then present what they learned in a way that made sense to his aesthetic. Everything about it is perfect, and it doesn't damage Kazuya's image as a powerful, intimidating character in any way.

Interesting how Kazuya and Jun got together according to both the Tekken 2 summary and his ending. I suppose opposites attract and come together. Even though Jun was supposed to arrest Kazuya for his crimes she decided to save him instead.

Kazuya is basically a big tsundere. He was the one who was head over heels for Jun since she was the only one who wasn't afraid of him.

I’m surprised everyone has talked about how there’s an entire hall of sneakers and how it just comes to show Kazuya really is a sneaker head, yet NO ONE has mentioned how Bandai Namco managed to make each individual sneaker for this ending.
Every single detail, for every sneaker, more than 100 sneakers was designed uniquely out of the rest, for the funnies. I know the devs needed to make it clear that Kazuya loves his sneakers, but this is commitment like no other lmao
I finished the storymode and I'm disappointed that we only got a teaser for Jun at the ending. I thought we would get more of Jun in the storymode seeing as how Harada said she's alive.
Now we have to wait god knows how long for Tekken 9 to know what role Jun plays in the story. 😢

I forgot Kaz is a sneaker head! If you played Tekken 1 (he's a young man at this time) one of his costumes he has a tank top jeans and sneakers on. I think they were chuck Taylor's I can't really remember but they were sneakers for sure!
(They weren't Chuck Taylors. If you look at his costume closely in Tekken 1, you see something the looks like a Nike Symbol on his red sneakers.)
